 Really...why bother

-First and foremost, even though I was out reliving my youth with NKOTBSB, I got the
updates on the Mavericks/Heat game and have to congratulate the DALLAS MAVERICKS
on their first NBA CHAMPIONSHIP...I am happy for Dirk and Jason and Mark Cuban,
but am definitely not the only one who is thrilled at LeBron's loss...Karma baby...that's
all I have to say...it's a you know what!

-So, in between weekend errands and events, I watched MTV's new show TEEN WOLF
and it is REALLY GOOD!  Gotta say it...the show is smart and funny and well written
and the complete opposite of what I expected.  I thought I would be over the entire
werewolf thing, but this is a great spin on it...so I will keep watching.  I also caught
the MEN'S CHOICE or GUYS CHOICE or whatever these nutty Men's awards were on
Spike...well, I will say this, they definitely know their target, it had everything guys
would want, crazy awards, scantily clad beautiful women, lots of jokes about "manly"
things...Brett Favre's private parts made a guest appearance...the show was nuts (no
pun intended, well kinda I guess), but enjoyable for me and I am not even the
target...Also caught up on NURSE JACKIE...I know, I said I was going to stop
watching, but I feel like someone was listening because the show turned itself around,
the jig is up for Jackie and now she has to deal with it, so I am sticking with it for now.
I also have stuck with SHANIA TWAIN WHY NOT? On OWN.  Don't ask me why I keep
watching...there are only 2 more episodes, and then I am done.  I mean, we already
know she got married to the ex best friends husband, found her voice and is playing
Vegas, so it's not much of a finale, but when I start something, I try to finish it.

-Did anyone watch THE TONY AWARDS last night?  Ratings aren't in yet, so not sure if
the show did well or not, they did great on Trendrr...number one actually.   I
completely forgot to TiVO it, and I am bummed about that because I love NPH, but I
am sure the best parts will be online today so I can catch up...I would say that THE
TONY AWARDS are the polar opposite of the MEN'S CHOICE awards on Spike...agree?

-I did TiVO the GLEE PROJECT on Oxygen, but since I was out with the Backstreet Boys
(Because I WANT IT THAT WAY) I need to watch that tonight.

- Recently released report, State of the Media: Trends in Advertising Spend and
Effectiveness from Nielsen, reveals a few tidbits pertaining to television:
• Television advertising clocked in at more than $18 billion in the first quarter of
2011, a nearly +9% increase compared to first quarter 2010.
• The report says on average, ads airing during the Super Bowl were 58% more
memorable than all the commercials airing during regular programming in the first
quarter of 2011.
• Looking at twelve broadcast and major cable networks in primetime, a total of
5,381 major product placements were tallied in 2010, up 22% since 2006.
• More than half of the product placements during the first quarter of 2011
occurred in reality shows on broadcast and cable networks.

-Monday's Trivia Question...sorry it has nothing to do with TV, but since I am still
basking in the glow of NKOTBSB...I just gotta...
How many New Kids/Backstreet Boys can you name?
