WATCHING WAY TOO MUCH 6/15/11

-The answer to Tuesday's Trivia Question.  Ice-T had a song COP KILLER (pronounced
killa according to some experts) that caused a lot of controversy.  The "T" stands for
Tracy First 5's: Matt Baker, Karen Heniger (partial credit), Elana Tocci, Andrew Werts
(partial credit) & Tara Dowling

Finally got the Sunday Cable Ratings...so here they are:

-I have to admit, last night for me was just insane...so much to watch and so little
time.  First I watched my REAL HOUSEWIVES OF NJ...drama as always and of course
some ridiculousness...A) I cannot stand Jacqueline's daughter Ashley and the fact that
her stepfather has bought her a car, taken it away and now purchased another one for
her makes me sick.  Her mother didn't know about it and didn't seem to get angry with
her husband for going behind her back and buying it for her, this seems absolutely
ridiculous to me so much so that I want to go on her blog and scream at her.  CALM
DOWN KRISTY...next, actually B)...Melissa Gorga needs to learn the words to Amazing
Grace if she is going to sing it for all of us on this nutty show...it isn't WENCH like me,
it's WRETCH like me...

-After that I watched the WATCH WHAT HAPPENS LIVE with my favorite ANDY
COHEN...I love everything about ANDY COHEN, and this week, he had Jeff and Jenny
from FLIPPING OUT and it was hilarious.  Loved the montage of the two maids from
FLIPPING OUT and MILLION DOLLAR DECORATORS.  While I was a bit obsessed with
the fact that Andy wasn’t wearing socks for the entire episode, I loved that Jeff called
him out on it and he defended his fashion statement pretty well...well, enough for me
to move on anyway.

-After that I watched BRAXTON FAMILY VALUES and THE VOICE via Tivo with my back
and forth method where I can literally watch both shows at the same time and not miss
a thing.  I LOVE THE VOICE...Cee Lo's glasses make me think he is asleep the entire
time and just wakes up to make comments on the contestants.  I was shocked by
Blake's choices for who to keep and to get rid of...oh and Adam Levine...it seem he is
jealous of everyone's voices but I think he has THE best team.  So bottom line here is
that the chairs were the stars of the show at the beginning, but now the judges in
those chairs are really the stars of the show and you just can't wait to get to them
during each phase of the competition.  Christina Aguliera is a mess, but an enjoyable
mess that I can't get enough of.

-If you haven't been watching BRAXTON FAMILY VALUES...all I can say is you are
missing out on one of the best new reality characters out there with Tamar
Braxton...the faces, the clothes, the various hair do's, the lingo...she could have her
own channel 24/7.  There are other enjoyable sisters on the show, and you can
definitely build an entire drinking game based on how many times the sisters say
"MOMMY" or "DADDY" but Tamar is the breakout character...the funny thing is Toni
Braxton is the most boring of the group.

-Okay...the most compelling show last night...GENE SIMMONS FAMILY JEWELS...I've
watched it in the past, but it was never MUST SEE TV for me...but when I heard that
Gene's girlfriend of 27 years leaves him, I had to check it out.  O...M...G...riveting,
compelling and REAL...It wasn't on until 10pm but I stayed up and watched the entire
episode...when my Tivo jammed up (hey with all that was going on last night, I must
have made it's chips explode or something) I went into my son's room while he was
sleeping and watched the show in there...I don't remember the last time I have seen
something so revealing...you also have to give Gene, Shannon and their kids, Nick and
Sophie, credit for allowing the camera's to keep filming such painful, private, moments.
At one point, the camera men leave the room as we all felt so uncomfortable and
intrusive.  I am sure they will rerun the premiere episode again this week...if you can,
you should check it out...If not for the emotional drama...Gene's hair is really
something to stare at.

-I am really not into politics at all...(I DO VOTE THOUGH) so I didn't watch, nor do I
have any interest in watching but I feel the need to report on the debates: On Monday,
CNN aired its first Republican two-hour debate at 8p delivering 3.162 million total
viewers and 918,000 among A25-54.  I didn't even realize it was happening, at this
point I still have no idea who participated and to be honest, I probably won't watch
any of them until right before the election...why would I watch that drama when I can
watch BRAXTON FAMILY VALUES?  Way more entertaining to me.

- I haven't watched the second episode of FRANKLIN & BASH yet, but I am glad to see
that it is doing well.  The second ep averaged 3,516,000 viewers in Live + 3 delivery
(+35% vs. 2,608,000 Live + Same Day), with 1,607,000 adults 18-49 (+55% vs.
1,038,000 L+SD). The show enjoyed a 1% uptick over the premiere episode among
adults 18-49.

- USA' COVERT and WHITE COLLAR, neither of which are watched by yours truly, both
premiered new seasons on June 7. COVERT AFFAIRS brought in 4.56 million total
viewers and 1.61 million among A18-49, while WHITE COLLAR tallied 3.90 million total
viewers and 1.58 million with A18-49.

- NBA.com delivered 141 million video streams during the finals this year, an increase
of 89% vs. last year. NBA Mobile downloads for the NBA GameTime app were also up
37% compared to last year, according to NBA Digital.
-I have so much more to discuss, but I think this is already too much, so it will wait till
tomorrow.

-Wednesday's Trivia Question.  We all know that Gene Simmons is/was the demon in
the band KISS...name the other 3 members of the band and their costumes/characters.
(Original band members only please).  Bonus question...What was Kiss's biggest selling
hit song?
WWWTM-Kristy (the third W was for an extra WAY...last night was a lot of TV...even
for me)
