-The answer to Tuesday's Trivia Question: THE PIANO 1993 was the movie that Anna
Paquin won her Oscar for. The Oscar ceremony was in 1994, so if you said either one
of those years, you were given credit.

-I have to say, now that we finally have the numbers for Sunday night...I thought they
would be bigger for TRUE BLOOD. Obviously still great numbers but for some reason
with all the hype and all of you talking about it and asking why I don't watch it etc. I
thought it would have been number one for the night. Maybe next week when there is
not an awards show on at the same time, it will take over the number one spot. I am
betting it will.
-So all along I thought that Javier Colon would win THE VOICE, but after last night's
performances, I really think that Beverly McClellan blew the roof off the arena last night
and I admit, for the first time EVER...I VOTED for something on one of these shows!!!
First her performance of BEAUTIFUL with Christina Aguilera was amazing and then her
performance of her original song LOVESICK was even better. It will be very interesting
to see who wins tonight and see if this contest is really about THE VOICE and the raw
talent as it was meant to be. A few additional comments/highlights...Blake
Shelton...heavy sigh...he is so cute, and funny and that boy is tall and he is actually
talented as well. His performance of DON'T DRINK THE WATER with another one of
my favorites, Brad Paisley was really great and a lot of fun to watch. Ok...Cee Lo
Green, apparently not that great of a singer as both of his performances were subpar,
but who really cares? Between the outfits, the glasses, the guesses as to whether he is
asleep or awake...all good to me. Can't wait until tonight to see how this finishes up.
-If that wasn't all enough, I stayed awake to watch GENE SIMMONS FAMILY JEWELS.
What an emotional episode. Gene, Shannon and their son Nick go to Israel to meet
the family he never knew. Unbelievably real and raw and emotional. Maybe some
people can change. It seems Gene is, right before our eyes. And we all know how
powerful genetics are. There are little nieces and nephews that look just like Gene's
kids when they were little and so many of Gene's traits are apparently just like his
dads...I think the funniest moment (there really were not many funny moments at all in
this show this week) was when all the kids asked to see Gene's tongue. Apparently
that thing is an anomaly in the family as nobody else shares that same trait at all.
-Not sure how to make this TV relevant, I am sure I will come up with something but I
thought this was interesting nonetheless...Ownership of e-readers (I have an older
Kindle) over the past 6 months has grown from 6% to 12%. E-Readers are more
popular than Tablets at this point as 8% of the population owns a tablet. The
explosion of the E-Reader is really due to the price point...now you can own a Kindle
for 114 bucks (on Amazon right now). An interesting personal note, starting next year
in my son's elementary school, E-Readers are allowed instead of books for student
reading assignments. Guess I know what my son is getting for his birthday.
-As you all know, I am a big fan of the Bravo network. In addition to all the shows I
love, they also have one of the best websites, and mobile sites. Bravo's digital division
pulled in robust numbers in second quarter, with 8% growth. They now reach more
than 3.8 million unique visitors online. Mobile did well too: Bravo said its mobile
content registered a 7% uptick in page views and more than 6 times an increase in
video streams compared to the same quarter a year ago
-Tonight on NBC a new show called LOVE IN THE WILD debuts. I am torn here...I love
SURVIVOR as you all know, but I don't watch dating shows. This show claims to be a
hybrid of the two genres. 10 single men and 10 single women are thrown together in
the jungles of Costa Rica (one of my families best vacations ever) and are paired up and
have to perform demanding physical challenges while trying to perhaps make a love
connection. Oh the pressure...I may have to check this show out. I just don't want to
get hooked on it because BIG BROTHER returns next week and that is a 3 night a week
commitment for me. I guess you have to wait and see what happens...tune in
tomorrow for the big reveal...will she or won't she???
-Wednesday's Trivia Question: Since watching Beverly McClellan last night. I kept
thinking about the name Beverly. Which brings me to one of my favorite shows
ever...BEVERLY HILLS 90210...so here goes:
Name the ORIGINAL 7 90210 castmates. I am looking for their Characters names and
the actors that played them.
Bonus question: name the restaurant that the group hung out in and its owner.
