-I don't know if I have ever received as many responses about any trivia question as I
did with yesterday's 90210 question.  I have to say this warmed my heart, as 90210 is
one of my all time faves (hey, my son's name is Dylan, he goes to MacKay Elementary
School and his Kindergarten teacher was Mrs. Walsh-NO JOKE).  I even have a framed
90210 Original Summer Season framed poster sitting right next to me at my desk here
at home.  So it was very upsetting when I realized a few problems with the trivia
question that most of you didn't notice.  The first one was that there were really 8
original KID (hilarious as most of them were all over 18 even when they started on the
show) cast members as almost all of us forgot about Andrea (no wonder why she had
low self esteem).  I forgot her in my original count but when I was typing her in the
answers I realized the mistake.  Many of you did include Jim and Cindy Walsh or yelled
at me for not including them and 2 of you hard core fans, reminded me about David
Silver's best friend Scott, who killed himself, as technically he was an original cast
member...so there was some major controversy yesterday.  I counted a total of 50
responses to this question which again makes me all gooey inside knowing many of you
out there are 90210ers too!  So thank you to all.  As a tribute to this show we all seem
to love, the rest of this week's trivia will be all 90210!

-Well, THE VOICE ended last night with SPOILER ALERT: Javier Colon as the big
winner.  Javier was a part of the Adam Levine (of Maroon 5) team.  The finale included
performances that by Pat Monahan of Train, Stevie Nicks and Blake Shelton's wife,
Miranda Lambert.  I have to admit after Tuesday's performances I thought the final 2
would be  Beverly and Javier not Dia and Javier, but I knew Javier would win. I loved
the show all in all.  I think what I love (aside from those chairs and Cee Lo's ability to
sleep and be a mentor and have nobody notice) is the investment the celebrity mentors
have in their teams and how emotionally involved they all were with the success of
them all.  I will really be looking forward to the show's return this winter.

-An additional note on THE VOICE, as of this AM (as you can see by the time I posted
this, it is early, but that's another story) the #1 song on ITunes is Dia Frampton's
"Inventing Shadows" and Dia came in second place in the competition, while Javier
Colon's "Stitch by Stich" is #2 ITunes and he obviously was the winner.

-I tried, I really tried to watch LOVE IN THE WILD but 24 minutes in I just couldn't take
it and had to turn it off.  The dating piece overpowered the SURVIVOResque part for
me and these woman all seemed like idiots and I just couldn't take it and had to go do
something else...I controlled myself and stayed true to my word and did NOT switch
over to FRANKLIN & BASH which I had forgotten to delete out of my TiVo.  I am
actually proud of myself for sticking to my core genre values even through the tough
times.

-I also realized that I had forgotten to review HAPPILY DIVORCED, the new TVLand
sitcom with Fran Drescher.  This show was not in my DVR, I happened to stumble on it
the other day and figured I would watch it.  Basically it is a sitcom based on Fran
Drescher's real life story.  Her husband of 18 years comes out of the closet and they
end up living happily together.  First, let me make it known that in general I am not a
fan of Fran's.  I never watched THE NANNY and now I remember why...I couldn't take
the voice.  The show and the premise and all of the cast members are good, but I just
can't get past the voice so I can't keep watching.  Which for me is good news because I
need time back on my TV watching calendar to insure I can devote myself to BIG
BROTHER which starts next Thursday 7/7 on CBS.

- After an extensive search, Univision Communications Inc. named current EVP/COO
Randy Falco as the company's new President/CEO, effective immediately.  Based in New
York, Randy will further join the Univision Board of Directors.  He became Univision's
EVP/COO early this year.  Congrats Randy!

-So many reports about cord-cutting these days and since I just cannot even imagine
anyone who would do such a thing, I always feel the need to report any of the newest
info.  J.D. Power released a study yesterday that states that just 3% of pay-to-view
customers report having cut their cords and cancelling their pay television services.
While that number is relatively small it varies greatly by age groups:
6% of cord cutters are age 17-34
4% of cord cutters are age 35-46
2% of cord cutters are age 47-65
1% of cord cutters are age 66-86
The study also found that 27% of video service customers indicated that they watch
videos on a handheld mobile device.

-Thursday's BEVERLY HILLS 90210 Trivia Question:  Not all of the 90210ers had cars
but most of them did.  Can you tell me which kids had cars and what kind of car they
had?  I think this one is a pretty competitive trivia question that will separate the fan
from the super fan. Can't wait to see who gets this one right.
