WATCHING WAY TOO MUCH 6/8/11

-The answer to Tuesday's Trivia Question is: Alicia Silverstone played CHER and Stacy
Dash played DIONNE.  First 5's were: Tara Dowling, James Gabriele, Andrew Werts,
Heather Sparks, & Lisa Tsavekou Some additional Fun Facts: Cher and Dionne... were
both named after "famous singers of the past who now do infomercials". Stacy Dash
was in Kanye West's video 'all falls down' because she is the sister of Damon Dash aka
Jay-Z's former partner and co-founder of Rock-A-Fella records.. also former fiance of
Aaliyah (RIP)

-NBA FINALS...tied up 2-2...YEAH!  I can't stand the Heat these days, so again...YEAH!

-Uh Oh golf fans, Tiger Woods is hurt, so no US OPEN for him which means low ratings
for ESPN and NBC...not that interesting to me really, but thought I should mention it
for those golf fans and it seems we all still do care about Tiger for some reason.

-ABC Family's SWITCHED AT BIRTH (I have it in my DVR to watch) posted huge
numbers.  3.3 million total viewers which was 1.1 million more than the premiere of
MTV's TEEN WOLF the night before. Counting the encore showings, 4.9 million viewers.
I better get busy and watch this one asap.  I knew it would be a hit...I had a feeling.

-I wonder how Dick Ebersol is feeling today...NBC won the Olympics rights without him
at the helm...seems like it was pretty easy for them to get it...4.38 BILLION dollars for
4 Olympic games...2014, 2016, 2018 and 2020.  They did this in only 2 days of bidding
negotiations...I thought it would be a much bigger, longer negotiation, especially
without Dick Ebersol (why is it I feel the need to type out his entire name and not just
type Dick...oh...that's why...hee hee hee)

-Last night I watched the first of the live shows of THE VOICE.  Beside an eye theme
(Cee Lo didn't where his signature big red glasses, and Christina definitely seemed to
have something wrong with one of her eyes) I thought it was a good show.  I feel like
there is so much going on between the judges, that the singing competition is an
added bonus.  Adam and Blake seem to be in love with each other, and Christina seems
jealous.  All in all though a good show and now an added cool voting feature:
Viewers have the ability to vote for their favorite artists with their wallets. Each time a
user purchases the studio version of the songs that they see performed on the live
show each week via Apple's iTunes Store, a vote will be tallied. Not a bad idea at all.
There was also a huge social feature with a V correspondent reporting live from the V
lounge where contestants where tweeting live (via their Sprint devices).
It's a light news day, and I am travelling on business this AM, so need to cut this short.
Wednesday's trivia question comes from a faithful WWTM reader: What player has won
more NBA Championships than anyone else?  Have to come clean I didn't know this
one.
