-BIG BROTHER's return was marked by solid ratings as you can see above, which I am
glad to see.  During the past seasons of the show, I must admit, I read all the blogs,
had the live feed, watched Showtime after dark etc.  but this season I am trying not to
do that as I felt it took a lot away from watching the show, but I have to admit it is
really difficult to stay away from all the information.  So, while I don't know much, I do
know already that Evil Dick has left the show for "personal reasons".  Supposedly this
will be addressed on the Wednesday show. I did watch the show last night and what
can I say...it just is ridiculous and brilliant all at the same time...when there is nothing
on...BIG BROTHER does not disappoint.

-The second to last FRIDAY NIGHT LIGHTS was sheer brilliance. I could barely get
through it I cried so much.  I really don't know if I can bare the last episode this week.
For those of you who are sick of these diatribes about the best show ever, no worries,
only one week left, but for those of you that know what this show is like, has been,
and how you will feel without it we really were lucky to be a part of something special.
I will truly miss this show like no other I have ever watched before.  One more week, I
can't wait and I am dreading it all at the same time.

-So...did you hear...Derek Jeter got is 3000th hit on Saturday and a VERIZON
WIRELESS customer service rep caught the ball.  His name is Christian Lopez.  He was
on every radio show this morning being interviewed mainly about his lack of
greediness, as he turned over the ball right away.  In return he received box seats for
the rest of the season, legend seats for yesterday's games, some signed Yankee
paraphernalia and some alone time with Jeter himself.  YES scored season high ratings
for its local coverage of Saturday’s this historic game...oh and the New York Yankees
did win  (thanks again to Jeter) 5-4 over the Tampa Bay Rays .  The game scored a 6.6
household rating and an estimated 634,000 viewers, both the highest-rated and most-
watched game this season.  Ratings peaked from 2:00-2:15p ET when Jeter hit a home
run to register his 3,000th with an 8.3 rating and 827K viewers, both season highs for
YES. Jeter provided great theater, homering his way to 3000 and going 5 for 5 on the
day.

The two-hour “Jeter 3000? special that followed the game scored a 3.3 household
rating.

-This has nothing to do with TV, but since I seem to always report on odd celebrity
baby names...David and Victoria Beckham's 4th child but their first girl has a relatively
normal (for Hollywood that is) first name...Harper...but her middle name is Seven.
Beckham's number when he played for Manchester United was 7, she was born in July
(month number 7) she weighed 7 lbs 10oz and the time was 7:55.  So I guess, I get it.

-After 25 years with CBS News, Harry Smith is leaving to join NBC News.  NBC is
expected to make this news official today.  Smith will apparently join NBC's upcoming
primetime news show with Brian Williams as a correspondent.

-I kinda wanted to pay homage to FRIDAY NIGHT LIGHTS with trivia all week, but not
sure how many of you actually watch, so I will do 2 trivia questions each day until the
Series Finale.

MONDAY's NON FRIDAY NIGHT LIGHT's trivia question: Derek Jeter is the 28th person
to achieve the 3000 hit mark.  Who currently holds the title for most hits?

MONDAY'S FRIDAY NIGHT LIGHTS trivia question: What school did Brian "SMASH"
Williams go play for after leaving Dillon?
