-The answer to Friday's Trivia Question:
Dylan MacKay's Father was Jack MacKay
Donna Martin's Mother was Felice Martin
David Silver's Father was Mel Silver
Steve Sanders Mother was Samantha Sanders Claire Arnolds Father was Chancellor
Milton Arnold I had forgotten Kelly Taylor's Mom but she was...Jackie Taylor
Early on, they also had different actresses playing the characters we knew to be Felice
Martin and Jackie Taylor. But later in the season, Ann Gillespie does play the coked out
former model and worst mother on God's green earth. Katherine Cannon who played
Felice Martin, the Donna's mother we learned to grow and hate, didn't come around
until the Season 2. Someone else played Donna's mom in Season 1 and her name was
Nancy rather than Felice.
Only Dana Moscato & Tara Dowling responded with the correct answers, you people are
slipping!

-Hope everyone enjoyed the long 4th of July weekend, I know I did!
-I did not start my weekend until Saturday morning, so I was home on Friday to watch
the best show on TV, FRIDAY NIGHT LIGHTS (KF). Again, tears, more Tim Riggins
drama (who cares-I would watch Tim Riggins read the phone book and be happy), and
again disbelief that this show ends in 2 weeks. This week's shout out goes to Michael
B. Jordan, (obviously not THE MJ) the actor who plays Vince Howard for a truly
outstanding performance. It appears that some of the past characters are coming back
for the finale based on the scenes for next week, as Adrianne Palicki, aka Tyra Collette
(former almost WONDER WOMAN) was featured. 2 more weeks...thank goodness BIG
BROTHER (CFF) is back in 2 more days or I would definitely sink into a deep FNL
depression.
-According to my WWTM poll, not to many of you are watching BIG BROTHER (CFF)
this season which devastates me. I will do my best to only report on it when
necessary, but this is going to be extremely difficult for me...I know it's a huge
commitment and that most of you all have lives, but that's what DVRs are made for...
-Alert to all GLEE (KF) fans (aka Gleeks) I have some good news and bad news. We all
knew that there would be some cast changes for this season and that most of the cast
will not be back next season as they are all graduating, but officially for this coming
season, the good news is that Darren Criss (Blaine) will be back...the bad news, Chord
Overstreet (Sam) and Harry Shum Jr. (Mike) will NOT be returning next season. I am
obviously happy with the decision about Darren Criss and I think it is actually the right
move not bringing back Harry Shum since he can't really sing at all. I guess I am on
the fence about Chord Overstreet, but I never really felt he fit in well, so I can
understand the move to cut him.
-I watched a lot of Wimbledon this weekend, but apparently this will be my last
"breakfast at Wimbledon" on NBC as after 43 years, the tournament is moving to ESPN.
According to Sports Business Journal, the deal will include plans to offer matches on its
mobile application as well as via broadband and broadcast all matches live instead of on
a tape-delayed basis. The agreement will bring the tournament fully under the ESPN
umbrella beginning next year.
-Flipboard, my favorite IPAD App has completed a major upgrade. Flipboard 1.5
includes a new Content Guide, which allows users to browse established magazines
(including The New Yorker and National Geographic,) blogs or even persons by
category such as Tech or World News. It also adds an integration with professional-
themed network LinkedIn, allowing users to easily recommend content or follow what
esteemed colleagues or business contacts are reading. Select industry news pages are
curated by LinkedIn professional members to offer a glimpse at what other industry
professionals are reading. I know this has nothing to do with TV, but I do get a lot of
my TV information via my Flipboard App and for any of you who do own an IPAD this
App is a must have. (If you know of any "must have" apps...PLEASE SHARE!
- Fox will be showcasing a "world premiere preview" of THE X-FACTOR at 8p right
before the start of the 2011 MLB All-Star Game on July 12. Is this THE most promoted,
talked about, blogged about, show in the history of time? Who at this point doesn't
know about the X-FACTOR? The ratings better be huge after all the press this show is
getting...
- Are you ready for some football? I know I am...well, today NFL owners and players
are set to return to the bargaining table, with both sides scheduled to meet in New
York in an effort to come to an agreement and save the preseason. In addition to
revenue sharing, the sides are also reportedly trying to hammer out the installation of a
"legacy fund" which would provide retired players with benefits once they walk away
from the field, although union representatives have said that they do not want to
contribute cash to it. Training camps are slated to begin at the end of the month,
before the start of preseason on Aug. 7. Please guys...WORK IT OUT! Can't imagine all
of our lives without football this fall...
- I love when stuff like this happens, especially to FOX NEWS, six posts on Fox News’
Twitter feed falsely announced that President Obama had been assassinated, with the
news network claiming its page had been hacked. FOX NEWS says hackers are
responsible for the false Tweets and have contacted the U.S. Secret Service.
The messages appeared early Monday morning on the @FoxNewsPolitics Twitter
account, reporting that Obama had been “shot twice at a Ross’ restaurant in Iowa while
campaigning” and had “bled out” as a result of his wounds.
Luckily and laughingly, the @FoxNewsPolitics Twitter account only has 37,195
followers.
