I interrupt my regularly scheduled witty morning TV newsletter with this brief sincere
note:
I am sure that at this point you have all heard that Steve Jobs has resigned from his
current position at Apple. Most of us don't know the name of too many CEO's of many
of the major companies in the world that produce products we use everyday.(See
today's trivia question) I don't know too many CEOs who are really so well known and
LOVED by their customers the way Steve Jobs is. He is really, in my opinion, a
visionary, a game changer, and a guy that created products that we seem to think we
need, and want, and have to have. While it hasn't been mentioned in most of the press
releases, my guess is that the reason for his resignation, is related to his health which
has been an issue for some time. So it is actually sad that he has had to step down
from his current position. Do you remember what life was like without an IPOD,
ITUNES, IPHONE or IPAD? It's a big deal to me that Steve Jobs is no longer the CEO of
Apple...It just is. I thought about a lot of different things while watching this story
unfold yesterday (this is pretty much the only TV I watched btw) and it brings me back
to something I had to reiterate to my 9 year old who doesn't remember life without his
IBOOK, ITOUCH or APPS etc. and that is this...life is short and you can have all the
money in the world like Steve Jobs does, but that doesn't guarantee you good health, it
doesn't mean you will live longer than anyone else, so take care of you body the best
you can, live life to the fullest and enjoy every minute of it because you just never know
what tomorrow can bring...A little heavy for the Thursday morning hangover edition of
this newsletter, but I haven't watched any TV, I don't really feel like looking for ratings,
rankers, and other TV Info with this headache I have, and this is really what's in my
head at the moment and I needed to get it out...thanks for baring with me.
-As a thank you for allowing me to digress a bit, I will provide a TRIVIA QUESTION as
promised: I know we have had a trivia question about CEO's in the past, but I feel the
need to prove my point so let's go with a company that makes a lot of products you all
use and see if you can name the company and its CEO
