-SPOILER ALERT…”Intensity”, thank goodness was the first group to get voted off of X FACTOR last night, but I think Stacy Francis needed a Xanax…can’t believe they let her suffer until the very end, what are they trying to do to this girl? Well, the good news, her new mascara is working! I really do the love this show, but Steve Jones…he has got to get some blood running through his veins, he just seems like the coldest non-feeling robotic guy. So good looking and so boooring! Isn’t that always the case? Oh…one more thing…what was with the “Stereo Hogzz” lead singers pants? Were they regular pants pulled up to look like horseback riding pants? Or where they horseback riding pants? And was he wearing clown shoes???
-Wednesday’s MODERN FAMILY was awesome and 3 great guest stars…Chaz Palminterri, Jennifer Tilly (did she always have such big upper girl parts? Never noticed until last night when we had Gloria’s and hers all at the same table) and Katherine Heigl’s sister from KNOCKED UP, Leslie Mann. Best line from the show…Cam to Katie …”you’re the whole package, I just prefer someone who has one”.
-Has someone been forwarding these emails to the writers and producers of SUBURGATORY? In Wednesday night’s episode, George, (Jeremy Sisto) finally worked, but, supposedly he is an architect and last time I checked, architects don’t normally install skylights, but hey at least he is earning an income. The best wish that I was granted was that we finally got to see Jeremy Sisto with his shirt off and if that wasn’t enough to make me happy…he took a shower too! Thanks ABC!
-Rob Lowe’s hair was back to normal on PARKS AND REC last night…much better
-VAMPIRE DIARIES took us back to the original witch and the original Vampire family…turns out SPOILER ALERT they are one and the same…super twist! Still no Damon/Elena hook up, even though they went to bed together at the end of last night’s episode…she slept, he stared…KISS HER ALREADY!
-CBS launches SOCIAL SWEEP WEEK on Saturday 11/5. All week long, the stars of CBS will take over the network’s Facebook pages and Twitter feeds. CBS will program the official social media sites for their respective shows on the day of their broadcast. Each morning, fans can log on to CBS’s Twitter or Facebook accounts, or CBS.com for a special message revealing which stars from that night’s CBS Television Network lineup will be taking over their show’s social media accounts. Throughout the day, fans will be able to view pictures, videos, exclusive show content and status updates posted by the talent, and will also be able to interact by asking questions and commenting on postings. Could be fun if I remember to do it.
-ABC gave full season orders for HAPPY ENDINGS, LAST MAN STANDING and one of my new favorite shows…ONCE UPON A TIME!
-One of my favorite bands, THE SLIDERS, did an amazing version of Adele’s SOMEONE LIKE YOU…I know, I cancelled the song of the day feature, but this is so good (and I like this version so much better) I had to share:
-Since we are talking about Adele…One more music story…just an odd thing…you know the phrase “everything comes in threes” and you know I love a good list…three singers who are undergoing throat surgery at the moment: John Mayer, Adele and Keith Urban…found that interesting, not sure why
-My new favorite commercial…the Volkswagen Passat commercial where everyone is singing “Rocket Man” and butchering the lyrics. Proud to say as a HUGE Elton John fan, that I did know the line, but in case you all didn’t…here is the spot:
