-Howard Stern returned from his 2 week vacation with an awesome live, in studio
interview with Lady Gaga yesterday. I listened to the interview twice already. Truly
one of his best. I am not a big Lady Gaga fan, but she was honest and interesting and
funny and oh...she really can sing no autotune, or smoke and mirrors! Amazing version
of EDGE OF GLORY. If you have Sirius and you haven't heard it, I am sure they will
rerun it on Friday or Saturday.
-I said I wasn't going to watch CURB YOUR ENTHUSIASM any more, but I had heard
from a few of you that this week's wasn't as uncomfortable to watch as the premiere
episode, so I watched it last night...you are right, it wasn't uncomfortable, but it also
wasn't funny and actually kind of boring...the scenes for next week's episode look
ridiculous and uncomfortable again, but they also did look funny...so I will go with the
3 strike rule here...Larry, you already have 2 strikes...let's see what happens this week,
could definitely use the time back especially with ENTOURAGE starting on Sunday.
-Also, kind of disappointing is WEEDS...I thought it would pick up quickly and get
Nancy and the family back to what they do best...selling weed, but there is so much
other less interesting stuff going on, that I am almost ready to dump this show
also...sorry just not as fun as it was in the first 3 seasons...
-With only those 2 shows to watch, I ended up watching the movie THE SOCIAL
NETWORK for probably the 5th time (Yankees were losing at that point, but I should
have stuck with the game...they ended up pulling out a win). I love that movie...so
much stuff in there that we all just didn't know. The acting is amazing too...I just keep
that movie in my DVR for those times like last night when I have nothing better to
do...I really should read more.
-All this news that Charlie Sheen is coming back to TV in the show ANGER
MANAGEMENT, not sure why that is big news as there isn't one network that has
agreed to air the show yet...maybe that's the news...a show that has no home. I am
guessing someone will pick it up, but I feel like they are jumping the gun a bit. Any
Charlie news is news apparently, let's see if that strategy alone gets him a commitment
from someone.
- I don't have all the numbers in yet, but the Women's Soccer match against Japan was
seen by 13.5 million people which is the biggest audience ever for a soccer match on
ESPN...as you know I was NOT one of the 13.5 million viewers...
-More annoying celebrity baby names...Ivanka Trump and her husband Jared Kushner
named their daughter Arabella Rose. If they are going to call the kid Bella or Rose,
then just name her that...Arabella? I love how The Donald revealed the name to the
world before even his tweet happy daughter could...
-I am totally not a sports expert and this is SO not a TV story, but Roy Halladay who
makes, I don't know a bajillion dollars to play baseball, was too hot to do his job last
night and had to leave the game early...wahhhhhhh Roy...go drink some Gatorade and
man up...your opponent seemed to be able to do it...look, not that I am ancient, but
years ago, when I was my son's age, (okay so I am dating myself...but still) it didn't
make the headlines when pitchers actually completed all 9 innings...I don't know this
just irritated me a bit.
Tuesday's Trivia Question: Everyone knows the name Mark Zuckerberg, but who is the
other co-founder of Facebook?
