THE SHOWS

Big Brother

  • Every second that Devin is on camera makes me ill. I HATE HIM
  • Is the ice room even icy? I dont think so. Nobody's cold in there anymore
  • Zach & Cody. I just enjoy typing that.
  • Caleb's got it bad for Amber and she could care less about him. I love when they show him staring at her.
  • I totally knew Zach was fake sleeping when Devin went to Donny and came clean
  • Devin should know better than to have a house meeting, they're never good
  • How many times did Devin say the word daughter in this episode?
  • Victoria and Frankie never stopped eating during Devin's emotional house meeting mumbo jumbo speech. After careful review, I'm pretty sure they were snacking on grapes.
  • Why didn't Donny attend the house meeting? Who was he thumbs upping to in his bed?
  • Awwww Hayden and Nicole. What a super smart power couple…NOT
  • Caleb needs to cuddle??? I'd cuddle you Caleb!
  • Pow Pow, Britney, Hayden & Nicole were nominated. Did I mention that I despise Devin. Why are they letting him run things?
  • Zrankie? Zach and Frankie are hilarious. They almost got me to get the live feeds, but…I do need to work, so I stayed strong.
  • Battle of the Block was a tough competition. I can't believe Devin's STILL HOH! I HATE HIM!
  • Tear count for this episode: 4- Devin, Caleb, Amber & Brittney

Beyonce
The 5 minute HBO Beyonce thing was pretty good and I'm not even a big Beyonce fan. Pretty cool editing. She's impressive. I get it. Is that her real hair or a wig?

THE OTHER STUFF

-Someone's got way too much time on their hands and is hacking in to the Glee cast members Twitter accounts. First Chris Colfer wasn't coming back for the final season of Glee and then Lea Michelle was preggers. The Glee twacker (Twitter + Hacker) caused a lot of problems for the stars publicists this holiday weekend. Neither of these stories were true of course, but at this point nobody even cares, except maybe Chris and Lea.

-The CW's Famous in 12 was cancelled in 5.

-With last week being the 25th anniversary of the launch of Seinfeld there have been a ton of great articles about the show our there. I'd post all of them if I could but since I'm into ratings, I thought this one was pretty interesting:
In it's first airing, Seinfeld delivered an 8.0 rating. Today...that's a Sunday Night Football number. In the 1989-90 season, Seinfeld was the 17th ranked show with a 9.5 rating which is WAY better than any show today. The Walking Dead, the number one show on television, delivers a 6.8!  In 1989-90 The Walking Dead would tie with Full House. Keep in mind that back then, the average home only had 27 channels to choose from. Check out these numbers from the 1989-1990 TV Season:
RA18-49
Roseanne 13.2
Mon Nt Football 11.6
Cheers 11.3
Anything But Love 10.8
Dear John 10.3
Wonder Years 10.0
Different World 9.8
Cosby Show 9.5
Night Court 8.8
Who's the Boss 8.7
Married w/Children 8.3
Totally Hidden Video 8.3
L.A.Law 8.2
Seinfeld Chronicles 8.0

-You all know that I've had an on again, off again relationship with Netflix right?  First I loved Netflix and then when they raised their prices and gave me less, I hated them. Then I came around as they gave us House of Cards and Orange is the New Black and a love of binge viewing, but now...I'm mad at them again. Every once in a while they purge some inventory to make room for new shows and movies. This never affected me before, but recently, I've been secretly binging Nip/Tuck. I'm actually almost done with Season 1. I had some down time over the long weekend and went to catch a few more episodes and guess what…GONE! Nip/Tuck has been purged!!! Now I'm hooked and it's gone. It's a pay program on Amazon Prime, it's not on the FXNow App, it's not on Hulu and it's not on Spike. UGH! I'll find it somewhere. See what happens when I secretly binge a show…thwarted!

-I'm just not a big Robert Klein fan at all. I really don't know him or his comedy at all. He's apparently one of Jerry Seinfeld's idols. Whatever. I didn't love this weeks episode at all. Here's the link in case you do want to watch it. Definitely not that great though...if you don't have the 17 minutes...don't bother. http://comediansincarsgettingcoffee.com/ I would suggest checking out this spoof though.  Joel McHale and Tony Hale in…Comedians in Cars Getting Cocaine. http://www.thewrap.com/joel-mchale-and-tony-hale-are-comedians-in-cars-getting-cocaine-video/

Monday's Trivia Question: This weeks theme is shows within a show.  Name the show within a show on 30 Rock
