Need to thank my buddy Brett for this very interesting info on the premiere of Orphan Black last week. Apparently, on BBC America where the show originated, the premiere was down 13% from last season's premiere and 21% from the original premiere BUT there is good news too. The premiere was also available on the other AMC networks where it did MUCH better. 1.2 million viewers tuned in when you add up all of the viewers. Sooooo I guess we'll find out what happens to everyone this week. Weird right? (THANKS BRETT!)

THE SHOWS

Grey's Anatomy
I don't want watch Grey's Anatomy, but my Facebook friends all do, so I knew right away when all of them started posting variations of the crying emoji (and the wine glass emoji) all over their status's that Derek had died. Pretty unexpected since Patrick Dempsey signed a 2 year contract extension but anything for ratings, right? I gave up Grey's years ago because Meredith bugged the sh*t out of me. Now that she doesn't have the hot doctor husband my prediction...ratings plummet. Unless George Clooney gets bored hangin in NYC with Amal and decides that Doug Ross is feeling the need to practice again, he could check in and to Seattle Grace or whatever the hospital's called now and fall for the super annoying Meredith. We'll see. Maybe they'll announce at the upfront in a couple of weeks that 2016 is the final season for Grey's in hopes we'll all fork over the big bucks for a "very special final season of Grey's Anatomy"

Scandal
It must have been "shocking twist" Thursday at ABC. Shonda Rhimes was ON FIRE. First Derek Shepherd dies and miraculously, Jake Ballard lives. I know one reader who isn't happy with this news, sorry Dana. Jake's aliveeeeeee. Theoretically, Jake should have bled out. Did you see all the bullet holes? Come on, hard to believe, but maybe at B613 they put special stuff in your body so you don't die unless ratings are an issue. Jake's not in the clear yet. He's in some safe house with the Gladiators and a Russian "doctor" in need of a favor. Of course he does. Meanwhile that lunatic of a father, Rowan, figured out that Russell didn't complete the B613 "How to Kill Your Target" class and sent him back with a bullet to get the job done. It was sort of ridiculous that the Gladiators didn't see Russell get out of his bed and slash Jake, but it's Scandal and they're allowed to do this kind of crap. While the doctor was working on Jake, and Quinn and Huck were stealing blood of all types, Rowan had Olivia's Russian client, Black Sable, her grandchild, Baby Sable and her handler, the Sable Butcher, killed just for the fun of it. Of course in the midst of the insanity, she was able to provide a complete campaign strategy for Mellie because that's what Olivia Pope does. Cy went on The Liberty Report and shut Sally down big time. Gotta say, this new wig Cy is sporting is pretty amazing. He must shop at the same place John Travolta does. Maybe the name of the store is #Foxtail. Maybe not. I wonder if the Sable bodies will all join that other body in the suitcase. Remember that one from last week? Where do all those bodies go? Sticky window had the week off. I guess the Sables didn't rank high enough for sticky window status. Oh well.

Lip Sync Battle
Last night, Mike Tyson vs. Terry Crews. I think more than anything, Mike Tyson's tight beige pants and then his even tighter leather pants were the stars of the show. How he moved around in both of those things was amazing. As I predicted Mike didn't know most of the words, but Terry was awesome. He did 1000 miles complete with a piano and some ribbon dancers. He also seems extremely talented and obsessed in flexing his chest. It was mesmerizing. Speaking of chest muscles, did you see Chrissy Teigen's boobs in that outfit, how they didn't come flying out was a testament to sticky tape. Next week, Michael Strahan vs. Hoda Kotb. Battle of the morning shows. The director is still making me crazy with the camera but the show is just fun to watch.

THE OTHER STUFF

-Things aren't looking good for the Comcast/Time Warner Cable deal. The FCC wasn't hot on the idea of the big guy getting even bigger and it seems that Comcast is preparing to walk away, d…o…n…e. Huge win for the little guys if you think about it.

-Turner and Hulu announced a big announcement yesterday. Well, not so sure how BIG it was but it was an announcement. Hulu will have the exclusive rights to a bunch of Turner's programs from Cartoon Network, Adult Swim, and even some shows from TNT like The Last Ship and Murder in the First. I guess if you're into animation, this could be good news for you but at the same what I'm not sure of is if this same content will still be available on the Turner Watch Apps. So much content, so many different destinations and distributors. Thank goodness for wheretowatch.com. It's pretty helpful, I highly recommend using it to find out where anything is available for viewing.

-MetroPCS will be sponsoring Friday Night Knockouts starting next week, the night before the big Mayweather/Paquiao fight. This series will use some cool camera technology called the Spidercam. It doesn't crawl up your leg and freak you out and it's not held by Tobey McGuire,  but it does provide some amazing camera shots and angles apparently. I guess we'll find out next week what's so cool about it. It would actually be cool if Tobey Mcguire was in fact the cameraman though, wouldn't it?

-The premiere episode of M. Night Shyamalan's new show, Wayward Pines, is available right now and will be until 4/30. Matt Dillon's in it that's the only reason I'll be tuning in. I have no idea where the guys been and what he's been into but damn I used to LOVE LOVE LOVE him. Remember the movie Little Darlings? Remember his co-stars? Name them both for some bonus points.

-Russell Wilson will be hosting the Kids Choice Sports Awards on 7/16. Last year Michael Strahan hosted and the show didn't to as well as everyone had hoped. Let's see if Russell can boost the numbers. Personally, I would have tried to get Jeter, but that's just me.

Don't forget…Bruce Jenner and Diane Sawyer, the big interview tonight! Let's see if he reveals his new name. I'm still going with Brittany.

Thursday's Trivia Question: Which star of Sex in the City was in Little Darlings with Matt Dillon. I'll give you a hint, she played Sunshine.
