American Music Awards
I missed the Red Carpet coverage because I promised my son he could go to 1 NY Giants football game this year and yesterday was the game. Good Mom. Good son let me leave early to be home in time for the start of the show.  Here are the bullets:  

• Katy Perry wore sparkly socks and a Geisha girl outfit to open the AMA's with the worst song on her new album.  Slit was pretty high and if you looked close, you could definitely see her butt cheeks and I was looking pretty closely
• Pitbull looks so different without his sunglasses and seems to speak in the 3rd person sometimes. Maybe that's what happens as a side effect from wearing such tight pants
• Justin Timberlake looked like he was listening to the Laker game or something. Definitely not paying attention at the beginning of the show right?
• Twerking lessons at 8:09 while the kids are all still up? That could have been saved for later in the show.
• Taylor Swifts hair was awesome, outfit, not so much. 
• Favorite Pop/Rock Male-JustinTimberlake snapped out of his funk, ran up and down the aisles and looked OH, SO, COOOOOOOL when accepting his award. No Jessica Biel in sight, no prepared speech, honestly, I think he could have done better. 
• Awards are being revealed on Samsung devices...question people...DID YOU KNOW? DID YOU MAKE THE CONNECTION? 
• ONE DIRECTION is my 2nd favorite boy band of all time. DId Harry JUST wake up or was that hair do intentional? I LOVE THEM, so I will not say one bad thing about them. • Ariana Grande sang her butt off! Nice dress too!  Looked like she took advantage of the Groupon for eyelash extensions right? Did Ariana open her eyes at all during her performance? 
• Marc Anthony wearing his Ice Road Truckers flannel and Zoey Saldana showed up to present Rhianna with her Best Female R&B Award. 
• Rhianna looked like she was wearing a hair helmet. 
• Imagine Dragons was up next with "Demons" &  "Radioactive" pretty intense and good to know that Taylor Swift enjoyed the performance. 
• Chris Daughtry's one of the best looking bald guys out there. 
• Best Country Album went to Taylor Swift. 
• Was that Michael Bolton's real hair?
• Favorite Rap/Hip Hop Album went to: Macklemore & Ryan Lewis. I LOVE THEM!  Ben used the opportunity and the platform to give a shout out for Trayvon Martin and talk racism. Ben can do no wrong in my eyes. First hip/hop guy teaching my kid good things
• Naya Rivera and Maya Mitchell both looked amazing but Naya's boobs deserved a shout out. Have you seen her Rolling Stone cover photo? • Pitbull (with sunglasses) and Ke$ha (without sunglasses) both had the ABC censors on their buttons. Not for words but for super twerking.. Lots of camera pullbacks, but at least we got to see L.A. Reid. Miss that guy! 
• For a guy so into music, Mark Cuban didn't look that cool during Pitbull and Ke$ha's performance.
• Dave Grohl and Joan Jett. Ya think they were both wearing wigs?
• Best Alternative Rock Band went to: Imagine Dragons (Did you see my One D guys congratulate the ID guys?) Joan Jett and Dave Grohl WERE legends? They ARE legends!!! Dave's 44 and Joan's 55. I guess that makes ME a legend too!
• Best Latin Artist went to: Marc Anthony in his Ice Road Trucker fleece. Sunglasses on. Hate that. 
• Heidi Klum's bangs looked like they were infiltrating her eyelash extensions. (Ever since I learned what they are, I'm obsessed with spotting them on people)
• Justin Timberlake's JT earbuds are cool. I want KC ones. How many people were on stage with him? 20? As always...a showstopper. That's JT. Standing O...well deserved. 
• Kelly Osbourne's still rockin the lavender hair...not digging it. Never a fan of Nicole Richie...ever
• Best Pop/Rock Album-One D!!!!! Girls went wild. I went wild. Zayn is the cutest. 
• The Ceremonies? Not sure I know who they are. WHAT? How do I not know them.
• Florida Georgia Line and Nelly did "Cruise" and "Must Be the Money"...camera man focused on some old geezers in the front row and then Wayne Newton...OY VEY 
• How much do we think Nelly's bling weighs?
• I haven't seen Timberland's (the boots) in a while. Maybe Nelly, on his own, can bring them back. Did they ever leave? 
• Daisy Fuentes had a huge bruise on her arm. I'm sure it's nothing, but perhaps some coverup would have been a good idea? 
• Kohl's New Artist Award went to Ariana Grande who's thank you list was in her bra, my grandma would have been proud. 
• Bill Maher presented Rhianna with the FIRST Icon Award? First of all...the girl is 25 years old...can you be an ICON at 25? Second of all, why wasn't Jay-Z there to present the award to his artist in person? Too busy with Robinson Cano? Third, Bill Maher?
• A lot going on with Rhianna's hands and hair. Are those claws to fight off Chris Brown?  So is that lip syncing or what? Her Mom should have thought about some notes. 
• Ciera and Paulina Gretzky presented The Favorite Soul R& B Award to: Justin Timberlake of course. (5 points if you can name BOTH of Paulina's parents) 2nd time up at the microphone for JT was better than the 1st. Apparently JT liked Rhianna's Mom. 
• Macklemore and Ryan Lewis performed "Hands Up" live from Miami and were awesome. Any hip/hop artist that includes a trombone in his band is super cool in my book. 
• Fall Out Boy presented Taylor Swift with Favorite Country Female. I typed in that she won before they even announced she was the winner. 
• J-Lo sang in Spanish...I took this opportunity to play one round of  Candy Crush ( level 201) Cute fringey outfit though
• Single of the Year went to Florida Georgia Line & Nelly for "Cruise"
• Sarah Silverman's wore a yellow dress that wasn't that  cool, but Sarah always is. She presented Favorite Soul R&B Album to Justin Timberlake (of course) and racially profile him.
• Xtina and A Great Big World performed "Say Something." She looks SO different skinny. Could I prefer her fat? I think I might. Amazing performance though.
• Kendrick Lamar was up next. Back to Candy Crush for me. Were they saying the "N" word? 
• Austin Mahone and Kendall Jenner presented the EDM Artist award to Avicii. Kendall's very beautiful but stood like she had to pee and maybe someday when she grows some boobs that dress would be flattering but Mommy or any one of those sisters should have had her pick a different outfit.
• Jeremy Renner introduced Lady Gaga and R Kelly. Their Monroe/Mr. Prez thing was an interesting way to take it but I kept thinking Madonna did this already...sort of. More creative camera work. Poor ABC camera people. The director must have been going nuts. Did you catch the Samsung integration?
• Favorite Country Male didn't go to my fave country guy Hunter Hayes, it went to Luke Bryan. He's cool too, but I'm an HH girl.
• I know ABC's gotta use the AMA's to promote their shows, but the Shark Tank guys? Really? One D deserves better than that!
• Okay WTF was with Miley and the giant lip syncing cat? Sometimes odd is just odd. 
• TLC's performance sucked and I felt guilty thinking it and now typing it, but it did. Sorry guys.
• Artist of the Year to Taylor Swift...I was officially sick of her a while ago. She's only 23 which means we could possibly be stuck with her for 50 years, I mean she could be like Cher and just ALWAYS be around. Thing is...I've never been sick of Cher.

NEWS & INFORMATION

-From what I understand, tonight's How I Met Your Mother will all be in RHYME. I can't make any promises, it's hard enough for me to get these posts done on time, but if I can swing it. I'm going to TRY to have my HIMYM post rhyme as well. Wish me luck

-Lifetime renewed Witches of East End for another season. I guess Channing Tatum will be doing the stay at home Dad thing while super hot wife Jenna Dewan heads back to work. 

-Katie Couric; leaving ABC News for Yahoo. I've read a million articles on her big move and I'm still not sure any of us will know the difference.

(I have an Iphone, but my son and husband both have Androids and the app looks incredibly better on their phones than on mine.)
