THE SHOWS
Madam Secretary
This week, Elizabeth had her hands full and they were in long regular, plain old sleeves. Ahhhh all is right in my world. Not in hers though. A young emotionally damaged soldier was outside the State Department with a gun and everyone was on lock down. Matt and Daisy's fiance were locked in one room. That was a disaster. They chewed pot gum and Matt spilled his guts about Daisy and him. Engagement OVER. Nadine gave a single older woman her transfer orders to Angola. She wasn't happy and let Nadine have it. Nadine went to leave just as the lock down went into affect. AWKWARD. Things ended better for them though. Nadine changed her mind and changed the transfer to Portugal instead. Stevie, the Secretary's daughter was in the building and got locked down with Blake who only had good things to say to her. It was her Mom who shocked her with information about her past life torturing war criminals. I guess we were all surprised by that one. The lock down was over the damage was done but before everyone left, Elizabeth seemed to make some headway with the Iraqi's. If only it was all that simple.
The Good Wife
Where's the rabbit and the hat part? There is no way Cary's guilty and there's no way Cary's going to jail. What is going on over there at The Good Wife? The writers had me a bit distracted before they dropped that bomb. First the judge needing the Neil Diamond tickets for his anniversary, then Diane's giant chunky necklace, then the ASA's affair with Gary Prima, then Alicia's threatening letter to Graces teacher. It was a JOKE people! I assumed that Kalinda would save Cary's day. That's what she does, she saves the day. She came close, but when you threaten Lemond Bishop, you never know what can happen. Of course he didn't like it and he put the nail in Cary's coffin. Nice guy.
Getting On
Is anyone other than me watching this show? I don't think I even like it but the acting is so good and the characters are so odd that I keep TiVOing it and I keep watching it and as I'm watching it I think "delete" I don't. The actress that plays Dawn is just incredible and Laurie Metcalf is hilarious and bizarre and mesmerizing .
