THE SHOWS
The Vampire Diaries
Hating Caroline and Stefan running around with zero humanity leaving a ton of bodies in their wake. Hating Enzo and Sarah Salvatore. Hating Momma Salvatore and hating that now we have another supernatural wunderkind with Lily and her 6 Wampire friends. The Witches that are vampires feed on their own powers. One thing though, if the Wampires are soooooo powerful, how are they so easily compelled? If Damon could compel his Mommy to say the right things to Stefan and get him to turn his humanity on, couldn't he compel her and her friends not to harm everyone? Couldn't they just go out for drinks and reminisce about the old (REALLY OLD) times? How long does compelling last? I can't believe Matt's still alive. Neither can he, but he's staying out of the vampire world. He actually has some values and a moral compass. Who knew Matt had some depth to him? I'm counting down the episodes. When Elena leaves, I'm leaving too. I love Damon's shirtless moments, but I'm done with vampires.

Scandal
I got it, I got it. Doing what's right is the right thing to do. White hats, gladiators, all doing what's right. Susan Ross, did what was right, she actually read a 1200 page bill in less than 24 hours and convinced the Prez to fix the parts she used Post-It's on. So they did what was right. GOT IT. Marcus the Maybe Mayor did what was right, he told the truth about having an affair with the current Mayor's wife. Bravo bud. Good for you. I was happy with Shonda. Smile on my face. Show's back on track. Sticky wall at work, Huck and Quinn working together cleaning and cutting up a dead body. All good. Sure, my mind wandered a bit. What did they use to clean up that blood stain? I need some of that for a stain I just can't get out in my family room. Where did that suitcase go? Then I got my hot sex scene fix, Kerry Washington is very good at those, isn't she? Loved Olivia doing what was right and deciding to go up against Daddy and…I even loved that Daddy Pope was proud of his red wine drinking, never swallowing a morsel of food daughter, but then…Russell, killed Jake. Scandal, the Scandal of Season 1 was back. Rowan's back but I gotta say, JAKEEEEEEE! I'm going to miss him. I know a few of you are happy about his demise, but I'm going to miss him and Olivia's going to freak the F out. Oh…and by the way, Congrats to Mellie Grant, she's running for Senate.
Lip Sync Battle
Last nights battle was by far the best episode yet. They still are pulling the camera back too far while the celebs are singing, but it's getting better. In this one, Anna Kendrick went up against John Krasinski. I knew Krasinski was a pro, but Anna kicked his ass! It looked like Anna was chewing gum during her performance but I'm not sure. Anyone see that? Also, she has a weird habit with her upper lip. She does an Elvis thing. At first I thought she was doing it as part of her performance of "Steal my Girl" but she did it during "Booty" and it didn't really make sense. There were some great surprises that you need to see. THE OTHER STUFF
-Last night on James Corden, Michael Douglas was a guest. James and Michael just had to do it…Basic Instinct re-enactment. Check it out: http://www.cbs.com/shows/late-late-show/video/0C1280CA-B94E-B2AB-0A0E-C598C15CEC06/basic-instinct-remake-w-michael-douglas-reggie-watts-james-/
-I know you've all seen the official Star Wars trailer by now, but have you seen Guillermo from the Jimmy Kimmel show interview J.J. Abrams? No? I aim to please. Here you go: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=imJPMN4wwAs
-After Guillermo did his thing, Jamie Foxx sang Tinder profiles. Not as funny as "Mean Tweets" but still enjoyable: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wIVzRnf8jdg
-The Peabody's won't be presented until 5/31 and they won't air on Pivot until 6/21 but the winners have already been announced. The Americans, Fargo, Jane the Virgin, The Knick, Rectify, Last Week Tonight with John Oliver and Inside Amy Schumer will all be receiving Peabody's. I've watched Inside Amy Schumer twice and hated it. I'm sort of surprised it's included in this list. Am I missing something?
-I try REALLY hard not to include celebrity gossip in this blog, but when I got the alert on my personal phone, work phone and email that Kim Richards was arrested at the Beverly Hills Hotel Thursday and that she kicked a cop in the process, I just couldn't not discuss this with all of you Real Housewives of BH viewers. I bet Kyle's feeling a bit of validation right now. Her sister's out of her mind and while we all knew it, now we have even more proof than all of he episodes of RHOBH. OY VEY KIM RICHARDS, maybe you need to check in to Witch Mountain for some additional rehab or maybe we should call The Nanny and Professor to help you out.
-SJP is coming back to TV. Not TV, HBO. Sorry about that. She's coming back with Thomas Hayden Church and Molly Shannon in a show called "Divorce" Would have been cool if "Big" was the husband and not THC, but he's still busy staying married to Alicia Florick on The Good Wife.
Friday's Trivia Question: What was "Big's" real name on Sex in the City?
