THE SHOWS
I got home later than usual last night, had a couple of errands to run and then got obsessed with perfecting the P17 Sandwich my son loves and the Southwestern Salad that I love and the next thing I knew it was 9pm. My son hadn't seen SNL from this week so I re-watched it with him. We started to watch Quantico and I was OUT! Soooooo a whole bunch of NOTHING this morning for you guys. My sincerest apologies.
THE OTHER STUFF
-Outcast doesn't even premiere on Cinemax until June 3 but the Cinemaxers have already given the go-ahead for a 2nd Season. The show is based on The Walking Dead creators original comic . The whole thing doesn't sound up my alley at all, but for all of you Walking Deaders who love scary, creepy stuff, this one is for you guys. It's about a guy who has struggled with being posessed by the devil for much of his life who tries to get help. I see the word devil...I'm OUT!
-3.5 million viewers watched Underground on WGN America. This is the biggest audience ever on WGN America. QUICK…what channel is WGN America??? I had no idea either. The last time WGN America drew an audience this big was in 1998 when Mark McGwire hit his 62nd homre run. Anyone of you guys watching this show?
-Interesting Oscar article today. The big story right after the Oscars was that TV viewership was down about 8% year over year to about 34 million viewers but what hasn't been called out anywhere is that the ratings were actually up a tiny bit (1%) among those crazy Millenials. Even more interesting, those 18-34 year olds were more social than ever. According to Twitter, Leonardo DiCaprio's Best Actor win was the most-tweeted Oscar moment of all time generating 440K Tweets per minute beating out Ellen's selfie. Facebook saw record levels of activity during the show. 24 million users had 67 million interactions . Instagram reported 64 million Oscar related interactions across 19 million users.
