THE SHOWS
SurvivorAside from the merge and Debbie thinking she's set up 26 different alliances this weeks episode was all about the gross scabs, cuts and infections our Survivors have on their bodies. I love Jeff Probst. The guy's SO talented that he can even make the reviewing of disgusting puss oozing afflictions fun and interesting. Did you catch his face as he was looking at the gross thing on Neal's back? He actually winced with a smile and kept on probing the doctor with questions. When all was said and done, it didn't matter that Nick won immunity balancing balls on a disk. Neal was pulled from the game and there was no tribal council. Aubry was actually the winner in all of this, pretty sure she would have gone home. She did have a great question that went unanswered...what happened to Neal's Immunity Idol? Did he get to keep it as a parting gift? Did it get put back into the game? I say they give everyone a Z-Pac as part of the next reward challenge. I know it would have been nasty, but I really would have wanted to see one of those things explode when the doctor touched it. Jeff's face alone would have been worth it.
Empire

Totally forgot that Rhonda was left bleeding out at the bottom of the steps at the end of the Empire Winter finale. Pretty amazing that she could aim that cell phone SO perfectly and trigger the alarm system. Impressive considering she lost a lot of blood and her baby. Why didn't they clean off any of the blood on her face when she was in the hospital? Where were the nurses? I honestly thought Rhonda was getting killed off. She's completely unecessary to any part of the show at this point. If I have it straight, everyone BUT Andre has been the head of Empire at this point, right? Lucious, Jamal and now Hakeem. A bit ridiculous really. Hakeem forgave his Mommy pretty quickly for beating him, didn't he? Of course we knew that he wouldn't shoot his father, but for a second I thought that would be a great twist to perhaps get those ratings back up.Prediction: Laura and Anika will both be pregnant with Hakeem's babies.
Nashville
Now that Rayna and Deacon are married, I'm bored with Nashville. Thank goodness Juliette comes back next week to stir some sh*t up. The Maddie/Cash thing is annoying, I could care less about Leila Grant, Vida, Will Lexington and, I hate to admit it but Scarlett and Gunnar are boring me too. Now that Deacon's on the wagon, Frankie's off which means trouble for The Beverly, I'm sure. Riff Bell? Eh, didn't need that guy really, did we? Is he Bipolar or something? Pretty sure they should have ended this one with the wedding and sent it on it's merry way. Shark has jumped.
THE OTHER STUFF
-Don't you find it a crazy coincidence that just a week and a half after my West Wing/Aaron Sorkin/Josh Malina obsession began, NBC announced their plans for a live broadcast of Aaron's "A Few Good Men?" I do. Of course I'm totally excited for it and now obsessed with who will play Kaffey and Jessup. I never saw the play (which Josh Malina was in) but name the actors that played them both in the movie for some last minute bonus points. Who would you cast for this? I really need to think on it.
-I want to personally thank Linda Yaccarino for bagging the Javits Center and really living the TOGETHER thing big time. Last year FOX consolidated their Upfront between broadcast and cable and now Linda's doing the same thing for NBCU. Makes me so happy. I hated Javits. Having us all together in Radio City this year is the best thing I've heard all day. Thanks Linda!
