THE SHOWS
Pretty sure last nights NCAA Championship game was the first one I've ever watched and man what an intense, amazing game with a mind blowing storybook ending and that "One Shining Moment" thing OMG...tears. Congratulations to both Villanova and to Kris Jenkins for that buzzer beating basket. What a win!
Blindspot
I'm 100% convinced that Patterson has to be the inside man, I mean woman. It's the only way this show makes any sense at all anymore. Also, I was thinking about this. Where does Jane get her hair done? I mean she has a VERY trendy hairdo that obviously requires regular cutting and perhaps coloring. When does she have time in between all of the stuff crime fighting and identity searching to deal with the do? I haven't heard her ask any of her co-workers for a recommendation. Who's her stylist? Now that I think about it more, Jane doesn't really eat, sleep, pee, shop or take care of any personal grooming at all. She does work out, we've seen that happen a few times. Forget about all the tattoos and crime fighting for a minute and really focus on that hair. Something's up and Patterson is behind all of it. I'm telling you. She is the key to the whole thing.
THE OTHER STUFF
-Last night's Lip Sync Battle between Melissa McCarthy and Jimmy Fallon was another one for the books. Jimmy's SO good. He really should mentor the guests on LSB on Spike. No microphone needed at all, he's really amazing. Melissa went the funny route which, I'm fine with. Check the entire battle out right here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=saOHKFWW3tU
-James and Jennifer went a little long with their public domain renditions but they are both so talented and so good that I will say these are worth checking out too: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ejjat9jWW0k
- I really feel like Samantha Bee's not getting the attention she deserves. I don't know why. I really wish instead of running her husband's new show The Detour after the game last night, TBS ran one of her shows instead. She needs the promotion guys. She needs something to go big and go viral. Thankfully, Kevin Reilly sees in her what I see and has given the green light for her to continue through the end of 2016. Hope you guys check her out. Set the DVR and when you have a sec, check out her show.
-Elizabeth Banks started her own female only comedy site called Whohaha. Get it? WhohaHA. Funny right there. I haven't had a chance to really dig in and check out everything on the site, but the trailer alone for the new Melissa McCarthy/Kristen Bell movie, The Boss is pretty good. If I find more, I'll post it for you. http://whohaha.com/
-Mark Pedowitz's will remain the President of the CW for a few more years. Just how many remain a mystery. Everything online that I read just says that he signed a "multiyear" deal but that could mean pretty much anything from 2 or more years right? Multi? More than 1? Congrats to Mark.
-On Monday, the COO of Disney, Tom Staggs, who was supposed to take Bob Iger's place at the end of 2018 when he steps down, decided to step down himself. Apparently the Disney Board of Directors wasn't digging him and wasn't into him taking Bob's spot so they're looking elsewhere to fill the role. I guess with that news, Tom either stepped down on his own or was told to take the stairs. Not sure. He's been with the company forever so I'm sure he's set for life but I'm guessing this wasn't in the original plan so let's see what happens now. He used to be the head of the Parks division so I'm sure he's had his fill of Epcot and Fantasyland maybe St.Barts instead?
-Okay AFTER THE THRONE...another after show is coming our way. This one is a GREAT idea because I ALWAYS need help after every episode. My Facebook friends are SO tired of explaining things to me. Of course, like the show, the after show is a bit tricky too. It's NOT going to be on RIGHT AFTER the show on Sunday nights. It will be available the Monday after the show airs on the HBO Now App, the HBO Go App and HBO on Demand but no confirmation if it will actually air on HBO, the regular channel at all at this point. Hmmmmm
Tuesday's Trivia Question: What was the name of the hospital the gang from SCRUBS practiced medicine and everything else in?
