THE SHOWS
I went with the Warriors/Cavs game last night. I thought it would be over, the Warriors would win and what I wanted to see was if the dude who was suspended was really thrown out of the building or if he was watching in his car outside the arena and would show up after the big win to celebrate with his team. That was the drama I was looking for but what I got, was a huge win from the team I was actually rooting for, The Cavs. Didn't expect that at all. Could my husband and son be right? Is the NBA fixed? The Warriors haven't lost at home all season. Hmmmmmm food for thought. Now I'm way behind and need to catch up on So The Real Housewives of Dallas, UnReal and Samantha Bee. Gotta get busy, tonights a big night and then there's Game 6 coming. Who knew June would bring me this level of viewing stress?
THE OTHER STUFF
-Carpool Karaoke with The Red Hot Chili Peppers made me unconformtable from the get go. Flea freaks me out. He always has. I'm not a big Chili Peppers person. Anthony Kiedis was looking super scary. There was some front lawn wrestling. Some singing with and without shirts and the other two peppers that weren't Flea or Anthony, barely spoke for most of the ride. Check it out: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cfudXO_vzWk
-Not sure if you guys watched the Tony's or not, but this clip occurred during the commercial break. Sean Hayes, James Corden and Jake Gyllenhaal performed COMMERICAL Karaoke. Who knew Jake could sing! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o-IpPutsISA
-Yesterday Apple announced that Sling TV will now be available on Apple TV. Sling has channels like ESPN, CNN AMC TNT and all the Viacom and FOX nets. Has anyone found a chart or something that lays out the best way to get everything you want at the best price? All of these different streaming and content options just keep
getting more and more confusing. A good chart or YouTube video would be helpful. If anyone finds one, send me the link and I promise to share. Pretty sure that if you need your live sports, cutting cable just isn't an option which means all these options aren't anything you'd be remotely interested in. Although...I met a young Millenial Cord Cutter yesterday who DOES love sports BUT she lives in the city near a good sport bar. Yes her cable bill is down significantly BUT her bar bill makes up, BY FAR, the difference.
-Idiotsitter anyone? Comedy Central renewed this one for a 2nd season.
-Microsoft is sort of under the radar or at least they seemed that way until the big news yesterday. Huge suitcase of cash alert. Microsoft is buying LinkedIn for $26.2 billlllllion bucks. Jeff Weiner will stay on as LinkedIn's CEO but now he has a boss and will report to Satya Nadella, Microsoft's CEO.
-I'm reallllllly hoping that Showtime's Roadies is better than HBO's Vinyl. Vinyl had Mick Jagger and Martin Scorsese behind it which apparently didn't guarantee greatness. Roadies comes to us from Cameron Crowe. Jerry McGuire, Almost Famous, Singles...that guy. The good news is that we can all find out if the show is worth our attention and make the decision to commit right now. The pilot ep is available on YouTube, Facebook, and SHO.com. You can also download it for free on iTunes. Sooooo I'll definitely check it out before it premieres on 6/26 with hopes of providing you with the guidance you need. If you get to it before me...let me know.
