-BREAKING DAWN was awesome…In my opinion, it was the best of all of the TWILIGHT movies so far. Kristen Stewart’s acting isn’t any better, but we all got our wedding, and even without any gratuitous sex, we all got that scene that we wanted. We got Jacob’s abs, we got the crazy birth of the child with THE worst name ever…and I don’t want to say where they ended part 1, but they ended it in a perfect place for the final movie to begin. All in all for any of you TWILIGHT fans…very enjoyable and I will probably see it again.
-AMERICAN MUSIC AWARDS were a lot of fun last night. Nicky Minaj opened the show with a wild outfit that insured she could never sit down…I think those were speakers on her butt right? Then when she changed outfits so she could sit down, she couldn’t stand up…the shoes she had on required assistance to walk. Aren’t shoes supposed to assist in making walking easier? I think Justin Bieber was having a little trouble with his new post puberty (wait…is he officially POST puberty?) voice. Sounded to me like he was struggling a bit. I find it ironic that the song Chris Brown chose to sing to the public is “I Want it all Back”, you should have thought about that Chris, when you were beating up Rhianna…no? I love Kelly Clarkson, but that red dress was SO not flattering…what’s wrong with basic black? J.Lo was actually really good, does she now have to travel EVERYWHERE with that little Fiat? I guess it is small enough to fit in her big back pocket. How cute was Enrique? I love him even though almost all of his songs only have 2 lines at the most and he seems to have trouble lip syncing no matter how little he has to remember. I hate Nickelback and I guess the AMA’s does too as they presented but didn’t perform…good call actually. I guess pink hair is hot right now, as Nicky Minaj and Katy Perry were sporting the “Beauty School Dropout” look. Worst moment of the night for me…explaining to Dylan, my 10 year old who Cher is by starting with “well, she is Chaz’s mother, and she is a huge star”. I also have decided that I love Adam Levine and Maroon 5 but honestly, they don’t have “The Moves Like Jagger” at all…
-Regis’s last show was exactly what you would think…lots of nostalgia, flashbacks and speeches. The audience was filled with the ABC and WABC family, plus a ton of celebrities too...interesting little fact that I learned by watching…every day Kelly and Regis walk 43 steps from Kelly’s dressing room to the stage, and right before they go on, she takes out her gum and sticks it to the wall…we got a glimpse of the gum wall on Friday…gross and sweet all at the same time.
-DEXTER has been renewed for 2 more seasons, for all you DEXTER peeps.
-While ABC hasn’t announced anything officially, they only ordered one additional episode of PAN AM and no additional episodes of MAN UP!, In addition, COUGAR TOWN was only asked to deliver 15 episodes instead of 22, but that is mainly because it’s current timeslot is being occupied by SUBURGATORY which is doing pretty well. There were 2 shows on the mid-season list during the upfront that we don’t seem to be hearing about for mid season at this point…SCANDAL or APARTMENT 23, the James “Dawson” Van Der Beek comedy that looked pretty cute actually.

-The Netflix people needed to do something to get back in our good graces, so they are now going to resurrect ARRESTED DEVELOPMENT and stream a new season to its subscribers in 2013. Hopefully by then I will be all caught up. I watched season 1 and am in the middle of season 2 now.
-Everyone wants an iPad for the holidays this year… The iPad is the most desired consumer electronic among kids between the ages of 6 and 12 for the upcoming holiday season, reports a recent Nielsen survey, which asked respondents to indicate their interest in buying a certain product within the next six months. 44% of kids want the iPad, which is an increase from the 31% who indicated a desire for Apple's tablet in 2010. And just so you don't think the iPod Touch and iPhone are being forgotten, they round out the kids' top three with 30% and 27% of kids in the same age group desiring them. For what it's worth, kids over 13 also want the iPad (24%, jumping up from 18% in 2010).
-You knew Oprah wouldn’t ACTUALLY retire right? She is back with a one hour weekly interview show starting on New Years Day. OPRAH’S NEXT CHAPTER will debut on (and hopefully save) OWN, and follow Winfrey as she conducts in-depth interviews with people all over the world including visiting Haiti with Sean Penn, touring Skywalker Ranch with George Lucas and participating in a slumber party at Paula Deen's estate in Georgia. The series premiere takes Winfrey to Lake Sunapee in New Hampshire where she has an intimate conversation with Aerosmith's Steven Tyler.
-Monday’s Trivia Question: Who won an award last night during the AMA’s for being the first women to have 5 number 1 songs from one album?
