-Last night of course I checked in on Kelly Ripa and her co-host "du jour", Nascar driver, Carl Edwards. I know my husband is going to be very disappointed, as he is a huge Nascar fan, but Carl and Kelly just didn't "click". Carl seemed over prepared and kind of obsessed on covering all his notes and stories and couldn't seem to just go with the flow. When it came time to interview Kate Beckinsale (who looked amazing even though her dress didn't fit her) he seemed way too rehearsed.
-Now that Andy Cohen is on 5 days a week with WATCH WHAT HAPPENS LIVE, I can't watch every night...I have to be choosy, so I set up my Tivo and check out who he is having on and that is how I decide if it’s worth my time...well, Monday nights installment was truly classic. Andy had on Anderson Cooper and Camille Grammer from REAL HOUSEWIVES OF BEVERLY HILLS. First of all, I had no idea how hilarious Anderson Cooper is and who knew he was such a fan of the REAL HOUSEWIVES. The other thing is...I could be wrong, but I felt like Andy was super flirty with Anderson (especially when Andy challenged Anderson to demonstrate the Shake Weight-HILARIOUS!)...They would make an awesome couple...and they wouldn't have to change the monograms on the towels AC...AC. How cute would it sound when you tell your friends that Andy and Anderson(or Anderson and Andy) are coming over for drinks. Super cute right? The only thing I didn't love about the show was the edition of Sandra Bernhards' Sandrology epilogue...I could live without her.
-The LYING GAME was good too...SPOILER ALERT...Sutton isn't dead.
-I had never seen CELEBRITY WIFE SWAP before, but there was nothing on at 9 so I decided to check it out especially since Dee Snider and Flavor Flav were "swapping" O...M...G! The first five minutes of the show just sucked me in...Flavor Flav's fiance, Liz, can barely speak or read the English language (she is American by the way), she has no idea how to cook or do anything, but by the end of the swap, the Sniders really liked her and seemed to have bonded with her. Dee Snider has been married to Suzette (who is gorgeous by the way) for 35 years! Suzette didn't do as well at all with the Flav’s...Flav started out okay but as soon as the Mom's rules kicked in he was OUT...Suzette couldn't take it so she left early. Flav's funny but a bit of an idiot, who also happens to be selfish and obsessed with bowling. He has to bowl every day for some reason, he is also ALWAYS on the phone...he says he is very busy with his businesses...what businesses??? Maybe he sells bowling balls??? When’s the last time he dropped a tune?
-PARENTHOOD wasn't the best ever, but not all episodes can be a 10…
-I gave up the soaps right after college, so I remember when Robin Scorpio first landed on GENERAL HOSPITAL...I have no idea at all what her storyline is these days, but from what I am reading, she is leaving, dying or something and for whatever reason...her parents are coming back to town...so welcome back Robert Scorpio (Tristan Rogers) and Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) I wonder if Duke Lavery is coming back too? Again...where does this stuff hide out in my brain? I would gladly trade out the useless GENERAL HOSPITAL stuff to remember where the heck I hid my sons wallet when I was trying to teach him a lesson for leaving it in the kitchen where it didn't belong. (Seriously...no idea where I put it and it has 40 bucks in it)
-I guess I really should check out DOWNTOWN ABBEY on PBS...the 2nd season premiere was seen by 4.2 million people...that's a huge audience for any network...but PBS that's major! I mean how many people watch Sesame Street on a daily basis these days? I am sure it isn't 4.2 million people.
-One of my all time favorite movies, GOODFELLAS is going to be a TV show on AMC. Not sure when exactly but soon. The original author of the book and screenplay, Nicholas Pileggi will also write the show. Not sure how true to the book or movie it will actually be or when it will be on the air, but still exciting nonetheless…and I will SO be tuning in to check it out. I wonder of Pesci and DeNiro would do TV at this point in their careers…guessing NO but a girl can dream.
-Joel Osteen, "America's Pastor" was Oprah's guest on the second episode of OPRAH'S NEXT CHAPTER . What was shocking to me was that this show scored the highest ratings EVER for the network...1.6 million viewers tuned in and the show delivered a 1.3 RA2554. America always surprises me...Steven Tyler didn't get these kinds of numbers...but America's Pastor does...I would have lost a ton on that one if a laid down any dough.
Wednesday’s Trivia Question :With PBS getting all this press lately, I was thinking that back in the day, I watched ZOOM on PBS...anyone remember this one? If you do...what was the zip code to SEND IT TO ZOOM? I will give you a clue...It went something like this...SEND IT TO ZOOM, BOX 3,5,0 Boston Mass....
