-VAMPIRE DIARIES was BACK last night! You should have seen my face while I was watching it…I had the stupidest smile the entire time…first I freak out with the bad news that Jeremy (Steve McQueen’s grandson) has to leave Mystic Falls or he will definetly be killed, so Elena asks Damon to compel him to leave and never look back…WTF??? Really??? Jeremy spent last Summer working out, learning how to act and now that he has gotten it all together and looking good they write him out of the show? NOT HAPPY… Hopefully he has some super secret ring that blocks compulsion or he can find Bonnie or some other witch who has some spell breaker or something so that he doesn’t leave forever…before the big Jeremy news, Alaric gets hit by a car (while trying to rescue Jeremy) and we meet a beautiful new doctor at the hospital named Meredith Fell. (Good name for a doctor right?) Juicy tidbit about her is…she is Stefan’s wife in real life. Her name is Torrey DeVitto. I knew her from my ONE TREE HILL days, but for those of you that watch PRETTY LITTLE LIARS you may know her from that too. If all that wasn’t juicy enough…FINALLY FINALLY Damon and Elena kiss at the end of the episode and I am literally screaming in my family room…YEAH! Now hopefully, they stay together next week. I love them…ahhhh
If that all wasn’t good enough for me…I check out yesterday’s LIVE WITH KELLY and who is the co-host??? ROB LOWE (Bucket List guy for me) and of course he looked good and was perfect on the show with Kelly and even my husband watched with me because admit it people…everyone loves Rob Lowe and in addition to my love for him he is just like Dick Clark…he never ages! He looks just as good now as he did in St. Elmo’s Fire…actually in my opinion he looks better. I know he won’t stay forever, he has PARKS & REC, but you could even tell that Kelly was drooling with Rob to her left. If that didn’t make my head explode…one of the guests on the show was another one of my fave (but not a bucket lister) Darren Criss from GLEE…man Kelly Ripa has an awesome life…she woke up next to Marc Consuelos, interviewed Darren Criss and sat next to Rob Lowe at work! I call that a PERFECT DAY!
-Never been a RACHEL ZOE PROJECT person, but I did like Brad, so I tried to watch his new show IT’S A BRAD BRAD WORLD…didn’t really get into it. It has all the makings of me liking it, but for some reason, I only lasted 10 minutes and then…DELETE! Oh well, I can’t love them all and lets’ be honest, it has to be really good for me to give it Season Pass status…there are only so many hours in a day!
-I know a bunch of you love CELEBRITY REHAB and SOBER HOUSE on VH1, but unfortunately it will not be coming back this season. While it isn’t officially cancelled, it isn’t on the current schedule either. Instead…RELATIONSHIP REHAB will take its place but no Dr. Drew…sorry guys
- For the eighth consecutive year, Animal Planet presents its super cute alternative to the Super Bowl when PUPPY BOWL VIII (Roman Numerals alert…second time this week!) returns on February 5 from 3p to 5p. This year, Puppy Bowl adds "The Ref" who calls the plays and penalties on the field. Also new for this year, there will be a piggy pep squad and viewers can follow Meep the Bird tweets. Jill Rappaport also offers sideline analysis and game commentary and the Bissell Kitty Half-Time Show is back featuring playful kitties and lots of confetti. Come on…admit it…you do check out PUPPY BOWL at some point on SUPER BOWL SUNDAY…you have to! It is too cute and hypnotic to not watch it for at least 15 minutes! If you have never watched…you must promise me to check out on SSS. EVERYONE LOVES PUPPIES!
When I was little, I used to think that someday I would be able to watch live TV on my watch, just like George Jetson, well, maybe it isn’t my watch, but it is happening and it’s a big win for local TV stations…MetroPCS customers will be able to watch live, local broadcast television on their mobile phones thanks to a deal between the wireless carrier and Mobile Content Venture (a group of major broadcast networks including NBC, FOX and Telemundo). The service will be available on all MetroPCS smartphones that come with a specialized Dyle Mobile TV app. At the outset, MVC expects to offer the mobile video service on more than 72 stations in 32 markets. However, this is just the beginning; "This collaboration allows Dyle to take the first step in realizing the broadcaster vision of live, local TV on every smartphone," said Erik Moreno, co-GM of MVC and senior VP of corporate development at Fox Networks Group. Current plans are for the service to be free for MetroPCS subscribers in 2012, with a paid model arriving next year, reports Adweek. To that end, the MVC is considering three ways in which revenue can be generated from the offering: an ad-supported model, a subscription model; and a cable or mobile customer authentication model.
-Looks like Ryan Seacrest may have to take a pay cut over at AMERICAN IDOL. He is in the last year of his 3 year deal where currently he makes 15 million a year! From what I am reading, FOX did so well with replacing judges that they would really have no issue replacing Ryan and honestly, Ryan has 42 other jobs and probably a ton of plan B options. Maybe if he leaves IDOL I can use the “Carruba…Out!” line more…NOT!
-I didn’t believe that Justin Timberlake would do anything stupid…I really thought he maybe had the celebrity guy thing down, maybe took some pointers from the guy that has it down pat…George Clooney, but apparently NOT…ENGAGED??? Really JT??? WHY??? Sure Jessica Biel is cute but you don’t need to marry her…not these days. Big mistake and that goes for Mario Lopez, Michael Jordan & Matthew McConaughey too!
