-Drumroll please...the winner of the 1st Annual WWTM Emmy Pool is: Chad Ayotte
from Zenith!  Chad had a total score of 23.  Chad won a Starbucks gift card. (Hey this
is a rinky dink organization here...at least it's something) and bragging rights as our
first winner.  Congrats Chad!

-Did you guys watch the EMMY's?  I did and here are my comments:
Can't anyone think of something new for the opening number? It did work for Billy
Crystal years ago and now everyone just takes the easy way out and tries to put new
paint on the same old room.  It was hard for me to get used to Jane Lynch in all the
fancy clothes and even harder for me to handle her singing...can't believe that opening
number got a standing ovation.  Did anyone notice throughout the show the sound of a
phone or something ringing?  I kept hearing it and thought I was going nuts, but then
on Howard Stern this morning they were playing it, so at least I know I wasn't crazy.
Very disappointed that Charlie Sheen went with his medicated, good guy, I can play
nice Charlie, instead of the one we really wanted to see. (What was with his sideburns
though?)  I thought that the Lonely Island bit was a little odd for the Emmy venue.
Laura Linney's dress was hideous, Julie Bowen's and Kate Winslett's were both
gorgeous.  There was a woman who was up there with the 50 men from THE DAILY
SHOW who was wearing a gray dress that was so unflattering I don't know how she
even left the house.  How tiny is Paula Abdul?  I don't watch GAME OF THRONES, but I
have always been a fan of Peter Dinklage, and was so happy he won.  I loved the Best
Actress in a Comedy bit with all of the nominees on the stage together.   Shocked that
Melissa McCarthy won, but so happy for her also.  Loved Steve Levitan's wife's faces
during his speech...she was funnier than he was...Ricky Gervais didn't need to be there
at all if you asked me.  Loved all the red dresses, didn't like Julianna Marguiles's dress at
all...odd choice.

-Of course there was screaming in my house during the 2 best parts of the night:  The
first was when Jason Katims won for Best Writing in a Drama Series for FRIDAY NIGHT
LIGHTS and used the key line of the entire show in his speech.  The second and for me
the highlight of the night was when Minka Kelly presented Kyle Chandler his award for
Best Actor in a Drama Series for playing the best guy ever, Coach Taylor in FRIDAY
NIGHT LIGHTS.  I just wish the accolades were handed out years ago, maybe more
people would have watched and the show would still be on the air.

-In addition to the EMMY's my NY JETS beat the Jaguars easily, so for the first time in a
while, basically a stress free game for me.

-It's official, 4 of the REAL HOUSEWIVES OF NYC have been "dumped".  Jill, Kelly,
Cindy and Alex will all not be coming back next season.  Fine by me actually.  I would
have preferred if they just started over with an all new cast, but Jill had to go, Cindy
was miserable during her first season, so not a shocker that she isn't coming back for a
second one.  Kelly was a bit of a surprise, but again...fine by me.  I am sure Alex and
Simon will figure out something else to do too.  Buh bye girls...ready for some new
blood.

-You know I love a good celebrity baby name...so here is a great one courtesy of MAD
MEN'S January Jones, who obviously is starting from a good place with the name
January...Xander Dane Jones.  Even more interesting than the name...is who is the
mystery dad?  January has not revealed who baby Xanders father is to the public (or
her family?  Just speculating here)

-Lots of premiere's tonight...DANCING WITH THE STARS with Chaz Bono.  I normally
don't watch this show, but I may tune in just to check it all out tonight.  Also tonight,
HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER and TWO & A HALF MEN with Ashton Kutscher, THE
PLAYBOY CLUB and Andy Cohen is back for WATCH WHAT HAPPENS LIVE.  Very busy
week for all of us TV people...lots to check out and figure out.  All my Tivo's are set!

Monday's Trivia Question: Melissa McCarthy won Best Actress in a Comedy for MIKE &
MOLLY, prior to this role she co-starred in the GILMORE GIRLS on the CW with Lauren
Graham...name her character.
