-So, let me set the stage…my son and I were in sunny Los Angeles all weekend where he swam outside, it was 80 degrees and you could wear shorts! On Saturday, my husband kept sending photos and videos of what was going on at home. While we did feel guilty, we were happy to be in L.A. Last night reality set in when we got home to the generator running, no power, no cable and 40 degrees. Because I have the best husband in the world, he had gone out and purchased a digital antenna, so we did have TV and shockingly the picture was perfect, but because we were on borrowed time, I only got to watch ONCE UPON A TIME which was really good. I was trying to explain the premise to my husband and son and I think they got it. Once the show was over, it was their turn to take over and on went the football game. We could only watch until halftime because we had to turn the generator off. So here I am right now, on my day off…school is closed so not sure what happens to the Halloween Parade and Trick or Treating, but it’s early yet. I am bundled up in about 7 blankets with my laptop and my aircard. No idea when power and cable will be restored, so the next few days may be light on content for me…hope you guys can understand and hope all of you are faring better than we are.
-I was going to check out GRIMM, but even the trailer looks to creepy for me…another thing I don’t do…horror, scary, etc. The ratings seem to prove that people love scary, as other than the WORLD SERIES it had the biggest ratings Friday night.
-BEAVIS & BUTTHEAD are back and as you can see by the numbers, a lot of people tuned in. Before I declared a no animation policy for myself, I did watch B&B back in the day, and I have told my son all about it, so I probably will have to check it out once cable is back just so I can make sure it is okay for him to watch (I don’t think it is actually) and to see if anything has changed since I watched it originally.
-Need to sort of apologize on my WORLD SERIES reporting…I went to bed early on Thursday because I was flying out so early on Friday, so when I sent Friday’s WWTM, I had no idea about the amazing comeback game on Thursday night…bad reporting on my part…I know…Friday night we did watch some of the final game but I was in Los Angeles to attend Verizon’s HOW SWEET THE SOUND finale and couldn’t watch the entire thing. So, my apologies if anyone is annoyed about my poor WORLD SERIES coverage.

-Just a reminder to watch Katie Holmes on HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER tonight…not sure why that is a big deal really…when she was Joey on DAWSONS CREEK nobody would have made a big deal about it, but since she is Mrs. Tom Cruise and Suri’s mom, sorta seems like it’s more news worthy. See how the media can manipulate me?
