-I was worried that the drinking and late night would result in my inability to watch any shows last night…well that was what did happen, but my inability to sleep as long as necessary came in handy as I was up early this morning and watched X FACTOR, VAMPIRE DIARIES, WHITNEY and RULES OF ENGAGMENT all before 7:30am…come on…insane yes, but also impressive no? If I type fast enough, I may be able to work out too!
-SPOILER ALERTS THROUGHOUT: I knew that Stereo Hogzz and Lakoda Rayne would be in the bottom two last night on X FACTOR and of course as I predicted Stereo Hogzz went home. Lakoda Rayne is next and then…let the games begin. I don’t know if Paula can take another week though…she looked like she was going to pass out, she couldn’t bring herself to vote and almost left…get a grip Paula, pretty soon all of your groups will be gone and you will laying at the pool while the other 3 judges are “working” with their teams. Who will be laughing then? Did you guys catch Willow Smith’s performance? WTF? At least Jessie J can sing. Steve Jones’s pinky ring distracted me a bit while I was watching. Last guy I remember wearing a pinky ring was in the Soprano’s…maybe it’s a cool British trend???
-Last night was the Fall Season Finale of VAMPIRE DIARIES and HOLY COW was it super super juicy. Still no action between Elena and Damon but they did come close and of course the phone rang and they forgot that they were supposed to make out…so to recap, Michael is dead, Rebecca is daggered, Stefan is still bad, but not under Claus’s compulsion, Tyler and Caroline broke up, oh and did I mention that Stefan stole all of the originals from Claus’s van? Great cliffhanger…now I have to wait until January to find out what happens.
-Of course Howard Stern is off on Thursday’s and Friday’s so we can’t hear if it is true or not, but it wouldn’t surprise me if he would be a judge on AMERICA’S GOT TALENT…he loves the show and talks about it all the time. I think he would be awesome…he would be brutally honest, and he would actually get me to watch it, which I have never done before. It would be nice to see some show take a risk, unlike the Oscars…
-Billy Crystal is back…whoop de doo…I am sure he will be good, don’t get me wrong, but I wanted something different, I wanted something interesting, and I wanted someone to take a risk…nothing at all risky about Billy Crystal.
-Jeff Probst is definitely out of the running as a Reege replacement now that he signed on for a syndicated talk show, because of course the world needs ANOTHER talk show. I really thought once Anderson Cooper was out of the running, Jeff would be a great choice…NOT…
-Good news for FRIDAY NIGHT LIGHTS fans…Jesse Plemons who played Landry Clark was cast in the NBC Mid Season show BENT with Amanda Peet…I like seeing the cast of FNL doing well.
I read these interesting facts about multitasking while I was…well…multitasking…
Yahoo Mobile and Razorfish polled 2000 US adults on their mobile habits and device preferences.
- 38% of respondents say browsing the web enhances their TV viewing experience, while another 38% say it makes them more distracted.
- 70% of respondents multitask at least once a week; 49% do so daily.
- 15% are on their phones for programs’ entire durations.
- The top 5 programming genres attracting multitaskers are reality, news, comedy, sports and food.
- 94% of reported multitaskers engage in some form of mobile communication while watching TV, such as exchanging email, sending IMs, texting, talking or social networking.
- 60% browse the mobile web, of which 44% search for unrelated content and 38% search for related content.
- Mobile traffic spikes during halftime shows of sporting events; Yahoo Sports saw a 305% increase during the last Super Bowl halftime show.
-1 week from today BREAKING DAWN part 1 opens…I am seeing it on Sunday Morning, so I actually have 9 more days, but I can’t wait anyway. The movies are cheesy and I am not a Robert Pattinson fan, but I loved the books and I love the story and I love Jacob…he never wears a shirt and you know I like that in a guy.
-WWTM Weekend Movie Rental Suggestion: RUDY: You don’t really need to rent it, it’s on all the time, so check your DVR’s and set it to record this one. I am sure most of you have seen it, if ANYONE hasn’t…turn around go home and watch it. With all of this Penn State lunacy, RUDY will remind us all of the power and the good sports can bring to us all. For those of you who have never seen it, RUDY is the true story of Rudy Rudecker who dreamt of playing football for Notre Dame.
Final Friday BH90210 Trivia Question for the week…name Dylan’s “sister” and her “parents” that ripped him off of all his money. A) This question was sent in by Millie Gerstein, B) I knew the sister and the Mom but had to Google the Dad. This one is tough…
Have a great weekend guys!
