-Last night shows were all a little blah…HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER, nothing to newsworthy other than Kal Penn, Kumar from the Harold & Kumar movies, still hanging in there as Robin’s boyfriend/ex-therapist, Ashton was naked for a good solid 5 minutes in 2 ½ MEN and then went to see a therapist played by Jane Lynch which was pretty funny, and then on REAL HOUSEWIVES OF BEVERLY HILLS, Adrienne Maloof threw a spa day for all of her “friends” at her house.  Let me say this…I need a friend like Adrienne.  I mean her spa day was held at her home but it was complete with, gorgeous butlers, gourmet food and desserts made by Bernie (her private chef) robes, slippers, masseurs, mani/pedi’s, tanning beds, facials & cocktails and even with all of that, the girls were snotty beatches to Brandi who left in tears on her crutches.  What is wrong with these people?  Adrienne…invite me over!  I won’t cause you any grief at all…I promise.

-Nice to see so many people checked out ABC’s ONCE UPON A TIME on Sunday…other than sports it was number one for the night in Nielsen and Trendrr…let’s see what happens this week…I hope it stays strong...the networks should get rewarded for risk taking.

-The McRib is back…My husband came running in to tell my son last night and you never saw two people so happy.  Dylan (my son---yes named for Dylan McKay from 90210)  said “it isn’t even real meat but it is deeeelicious!”  I have never and will never experience it, but for all of you that are into that sort of thing, thought it was my duty to let you know.

-Just some facts I have collected over the past few days…

·         72.2 million Americans accessed social networking sites or blogs on their mobile device in August 2011, an increase of 37% over the previous year.
·         39.8 million Americans visited social sites or blogs every day, which  is an increase of 58% from the previous August.
·         In terms of method of access, while the use of mobile browser saw a 24% jump, the use of applications spiked 126%.
·         48% of Americans watch video online, compared to 97% for traditional TV and 10% for mobile
Traditional TV viewing achieved a year-over-year increase of 2 hours and 43 minutes per month.
·         72% of U.S. TV households pay for both a cable-plus subscription and broadband internet.
·         Over the past two years, "time shifted" viewing (DVR/on-demand) of TV shows has jumped 31%, with consistent growth.
·         Dallas has the highest DVR penetration.
·         The East South Central region (Tennessee, Alabama, etc.) spend the most time watching online video.
·         New Orleans watches traditional TV the most.

-Apple announced this week that it has sold 11.1+ million iPads during its fiscal fourth quarter; an increase of 166% over the same time period last year/ The iPhone sales increased 21% to 17.07 million in the same timeframe.

-I seem to be unable to keep my “no more Netflix stories” promise…sorry…Netflix reported yesterday that it lost 800,000 subscribers in third quarter The company finished the quarter ending Sept. 30 with 23.8 million subscribers, down from 24.6 million the quarter before. The most telling news to come from the company is that it expects more sub losses in the fourth quarter and is forecasting it will end the year with 20 million to 21.5 million streaming customers and a little less than 11.3 million DVD-only customers, down from 21.5 million streaming-only subscribers and just under 14 million DVD-only customers, with most customers having a mix of both, for the third quarter.  Even with all of this negative news… Revenues rose to $822 million, which is more than the predicted $811 million. Revenue and profits for fourth quarter will be lower than expected, the company warned
Apple added video from its Oct. 19 tribute to Steve Jobs to its home page. The 80-minute video is a celebration of Jobs' life and was filmed at the Apple Cupertino campus. Speakers included Apple CEO Tim Cook and former VP Al Gore, with performances from Norah Jones and Coldplay.

-The invite a friend contest is still on even though we are over 200 readers.  Contest ends on 12/31/11…there is a prize!  So come on guys…Invite a friend to read WWTM!

For all of you new readers who keep asking why I don’t watch certain shows…I don’t watch any animation, legal/cops/fbi, medical or dating shows.  I am willing to check out anything, so if you have a suggestion…feel free. It is because of all of you guys that I am now watching ARRESTED DEVELOPMENT
