-I have to be upfront…I am hurtin this morning. I was out way too late for a school night and not feeling that great…so for all of you new readers I apologize if this email is your first one because it isn’t going to be that good or that funny, but I will try my best.
-Since I was out late, I didn’t watch anything at all until 4 this morning when I woke up with a wicked headache but thought…hmmm maybe THE VAMPIRE DIARIES will make me feel better. It did…for a while, such a juicy episode really…In addition to the evil Stefan and the not so evil Damon, we have another new vampire on the block…Michael, the vampire/vampire killer. He doesn’t feed on blood he feeds on vampires and I’m not positive, but I think he may have SPOILER ALERT killed Katherine but I’m not sure. Maybe Nina Dobrev was sick of playing two parts and they needed to kill one off??? I don’t know. In addition to the vampires, the werewolves, the witches and the hybrids, we now have 2 ghosts in mystic falls who keep popping in and out messing with Jeremy and Matt…poor Matt he just can’t catch a break. Mom’s gone, sisters gone, ex girlfriend is in love with a werewolf, second ex girlfriend turns into a vampire…he’s just a boy looking for a girl to love who has no crazy superpowers.
Is that too much to ask? In Mystic Falls…it is.
-NBC renewed LOVE IN THE WILD for another season. Does anyone even remember that one from last Summer? Shockingly I didn’t watch that show, and I can’t remember if the ratings were good or not, but I guess NBC needs something to run and instead of bringing back FRIDAY NIGHT LIGHTS for the Summer, they felt this would be a better idea…
-MTV announced the MTV MOVIE AWARDS will be on June 3rd in Los Angeles, and the 2012 VMA’s will be on 9/9/12
No decision or announcement of the location for the VMAs yet though.
-Tonight on Starz is the new show BOSS with Kelsey Grammar. The first episode is currently available online. Kelsey plays the mayor of Chicago, Tom Kane who learns that he has an Alzheimer’s like disease. It looks really good from the trailer and is getting a lot of great press. No idea at all what Kelsey’s ex, Camille has to say about her ex’s new role, but she is busy dealing with the crazy ladies on her own show, REAL HOUSEWIVES OF BEVERLY HILLS.
-Looks like there is another carriage dispute that may cause some Direct TV customers to lose their FOX channels on November 1st if the two companies don’t come to an agreement. Luckily by then the WORLD SERIES will be over but all other FOX networks and shows like GLEE and AMERICAN HORROR STORY will be unavailable if they don’t come to terms soon.
-Are your DVRs set? If not consider this your second reminder to watch 20/20 tonight for the Mariah Carey interview and 60 Minutes on Sunday for the Walter Isaacson interview, pretty sure both will be worth watching.
-WWTM Weekend Movie Rental choice: SPREAD with Ashton Kutcher and Anne Heche. This is not the Ashton Kutcher you are used to seeing. He plays a guy who cons older women but then he meets someone special. I don’t want to say much more than that. I have to warn you there is some major nudity in this one, but it really is a good movie.
-Friday’s Trivia Question: Since everyone had SUCH a hard time with “hang out” week…Here is an EASY one: What was the name of the café where Ross, Rachel, Monica, Joey, Chandler and Phoebe hung out? This is the lead in to next week’s FRIENDS trivia week. All questions will be based on the show FRIENDS.
