-I don’t want you to all think I wasn’t productive this weekend, I mean after all, I went to the gym, went food shopping, and took my Mom to the theatre for her birthday. In between all of that…I watched the ENTIRE season of HOMELAND in time for the season finale (I also listened to the song WALK by the Foo Fighters like a 100 times but that’s another story). You guys were right…I LOVE IT! What an amazing show. I haven’t watched anything terrorism related since 24 and I held out on that show too…the subject matter just upsets me in general, but this show is soooo good…I have even forgiven Claire Danes for wrecking the home of Billy Crudup and Mary Louis Parker when MLP was pregnant…that’s how good she is in this show. So nice to see Mandy Patinkin again too! The season finale was so intense, and I didn’t watch it until 11pm so needless to say, I didn’t get much sleep last night.
SPOILER ALERT-SURVIVOR’s finale ended a bit surprising in my opinion…I thought if Coach could make it to the end without Ozzy he would win, but I guess he pissed too many people off in the process, promised too many people final 3 and it all caught up with him. I have to admit that most of the season I was routing against Ozzy, but he won me over at the reunion show. I do question the Heidi/Pippi Longstocking hairstyle choice, but other than that, I think he was a great player who truly could have won it all. Cochran too seemed to win me over during the reunion show I am guessing he just might get a second chance to play…but the big story to me was the Hantz families lack of support for the way Brandon played the game. Russell of course was in the audience but it wasn’t really to support Brandon at all…it was to ridicule and criticize his game play…Jeff joked that maybe a show with Russell on one tribe and Brandon on the other would be fun…I don’t think Brandon could handle it…one last shout out to the best host ever…Jeff Probst (now wearing his wedding ring) is just SO good at his job, asks every question we want answered and looks good while doing it. Can’t wait til February for season 24!
-Okay, so I didn’t watch SNL Live, I watched it clip by clip on Sunday AM…I feel guilty because I really LOVE Jimmy Fallon and want him to come sleep over my house (not that way…well, maybe) so I should have watched live…but I was so obsessed with watching the entire season of HOMELAND that I just couldn’t fit it all in. Anyway…there were SO many great skits Saturday night…the Weekend Update Joke Off, Tim Tebow, the Kathie Lee and Hota, and the one below…Dueling Buble’s, check it out…

Huge girl crush on Gwyneth Paltrow as you know, and it’s really not about her looks for me…I just love so many other things about her including her "Goop" email newsletter, which covers various lifestyle recommendations around various cities…well now Goop is launching a mobile version for the iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch called Goop City. The app currently only provides guides, recommendations and tips on places to go and things to do in Manhattan (and some adjacent areas). More cities will follow though…I say good luck Gwyneth!
