THE SHOWS

I had to go Giants last night. Big game for the rest of my family so this Jet fan watched the Giants beat Miami. Of course I snuck a little Homeland in there and the Quantico Winter finale, but really it was all about Big Blue last night. I was glad that Saul figured out Allison was bad news and I was not happy with Quinn vomiting blood all over the place, but so far the guy is STILL alive and for me that's all that matters at this point. I'm still super confused by Quantico. Pretty shocking to have Elias kill himself, but he wasn't really a main character so no loss there. Are we now supposed to believe the bomber is Caleb? Who beat the crap out of Charlie? There were 2 super plunging v-neck T's last night. Of course Alex was wearing hers, but now they've got Nimah in one too. While she does where it well, Alex still wins.
THE OTHER STUFF

-Mark Burnett, you know the guy, big time producer who brought us all Survivor, Shark Tank, The Apprentice, and so many other great shows has just been named the president of the MGM Television and Digital Group. He AND his wife signed a very complicated 5 year deal. There's stock share swapping involved and Roma Downey will work FOR her husband as the president of LightWorkers Media which will be the faith and family division of the company. She's also going to be the chief content officer, so I'm guessing a lot more bible stories will be coming out of this deal.  I can imagine some of the conversations at their kitchen table. I'm guessing it's a lot of praying and inner turmoil. I mean they are in bed with Donald Trump & Mark Cuban so they are right on that line, aren't they?

-I was psyched when I heard that the Critics Choice Nominations expanded to more than 5 nominees per category. I had JUST mentioned this last week when the Golden Globes were announced and see, someone listened. Of course I have huge issues with a lot of the nominees so I guess it wasn't a win-win for me personally. Check these out:

Best Comedy-Black-ish, Catastrophe, Jane the Virgin, Master of None, Last Man on Earth, Transparent & Your the Worst. So yeah, there are 7 nominees, but A) Transparent isn't a comedy and B) Last Man on Earth? Your the Worst? WHAT? No Parks & Rec, no Kimmy Schmidt or Veep? HUH?

Best Actor in a Comedy-Anthony Anderson, Aziz Ansari, Will Forte, Randall Park, Fred Savage & Jeffrey Tambor Here's how you know this is screwy, Jeffrey Tambor and Fred Savage in the same category makes NO SENSE! Jeffrey Tambor's amazing in Transparent, he is, but it's a DRAMA people! There's really NOTHING funny in that show AT ALL!!!

Best Actress in a Comedy- Rachel Bloom, Aya Cash, Wendi McLendon-Covey, Gina Rodriguez, Tracee Ellis Ross & Constance Wu. THRILLED to see Wendi McLendon-Covey nominated for her awesome Beverly Goldberg but TRACEE ELLIS ROSS??? WHAT? She is the WORST actress ever! No Amy Poehler? No Julia? These nominations are INSANE!

Best Drama-Empire, Mr. Robot, Penny Dreadful, Rectify, The Knick, The Leftovers & Unreal
These are the 7 dramas they chose? No Good Wife, Narcos, Ray Donovan, Game of Thrones, Outlander? OMFG GUYS YOU GOT THIS SO WRONG!

Best Actor in a Drama-Hugh Dancy, Rami Malek, Clive Owen, Liev Schreiber, Justin Theroux & Aden Young My head is exploding from these nominations! I'm good with Rami, and Liev but come on. Nobody from Game of Thrones? Nobody from Outlander or even Jon Hamm? These critics are idiots.

Best Actress in a Drama-Shiri Appleby, Carrie Coon, Viola Davis, Eva Green, Taraji P. Henson & Kristen Ritter So many amazing women missing here and they only used up 6 spots. WHY guys? WHY?

-Nielsen worked with some data analytics company called Amobee, to determine that based on digital content engagement, these are our favorite shows: The Good Wife, The Walking Dead, Game of Thrones, House of Cards & Orange is the New Black

Tuesday's Trivia Question: Friday, Star Wars: The Force Awakens premieres so I figured why NOT do some Star Wars trivia. So here's the first one. Who is this guy?
