THE SHOWS
Billions
Okay, we get it, Axe is mega rich. He has the tailor come to him, spends $83 million on a cozy place at the beach, helicopters to the city with the wife for a fundraiser and smokes his dope from a Pax. (Those things aint cheap) If he wants his name on a building he gets his name on a building. I get it. He's loaded. What I'm not so sure of is whether or not he's a good guy or greedy evil d**sh. Can he be both? He seems to have other people do some of his dirty work, but yet he doesn't mind doing some of it himself. He wore a Metallica t-shirt to a meeting where he got revenge on the Eads family for screwing him out of his caddy job when he was a kid but used a young reporter to bury Jerry O'Connell and distract Chuck Rhodes from coming after him. Bummer about Jerry, I really enjoy him and feel bad for the guy. He never lasts very long on any one show. I feel like Rebecca, his wife, puts a lot of pressure on him for some reason. Axe scared the crap out of his staff and had fake SEC guys raid the place to see if there were any weak links if the Feds got too close. He found one. Victor the guy who ALMOST has a unibrow. Guess what he did to him? Fired him on the spot. One prob. Tara from Sons of Anarchy thought Victor would be a pain in the ass so she paid him a visit and convinced him to Netflix and chill or he'll never get another job. Chuck Rhodes is pretty smart. He wants Axe bad. He totally realized that Axe set Jerry O'Connell up to try and distract him, so he went easy on Jerry. He didn't want Axe to get the upper hand and he was also feeling bad after a run in at the park with a guy he sent to jail. Axe's guy blackmailed one of Chuck's staff pretty easily. I guess it's important to have the phone number for lesbians and coke dealers on hand just in case ya need one. When Axe's dude was done blackmailing for the day, he headed to the steam room. Was the little person in the steam room just a coincidence or were we supposed to think that's what this guy was into? While that dude was sweating it out with his little friend, Axe's other guy was working a deal during a couples massage complete with happy endings. Pretty odd for two guys to do that together in the same room, no?

Galavant
Every time I watch Galavant I can't get over how clever it is. It's so freaking clever. Sunday nights episode, the penultimate episode, as next Sunday is the finale, was hilarious.(I really enjoy the word penultimate and feel proud of myself when I use it correctly) It started out strong with Dr. Neo of Sporin saving Galavant with a potion that included the beard hair of a middle aged man who hasn't been touched by a woman aka King Richard. The Queen's in love with Gareth which made Gareth break out in song complete with animated birds. Richard and Roberta finally hooked up and sang a song that sounded a lot like "Summer Nights." from Grease. Before the credits rolled, Isabella, Galavant and the Queen all had  their armies ready to fight for the crown. Guess we'll find out who wins during next weeks, finale. Without knowing if ABC's renewed this sucker, I'm not making any bets on the winning army.

THE OTHER STUFF

-Note to the folks at FOX: Just create another show with a Jack Bauer "like" character and don't call it 24. 24: Legacy is no better. For anyone who loved 24 it's blasphemy to even thing about any iteration that doesn't include Jack Bauer. I loved Straight Outta Compton and I thought Corey Hawkins the guy that played Dr. Dre, was awesome,  but no matter what spin you put on this, he'll never be Jack Bauer so why even go there guys?

-Tina Fey and Amy Poehler will be giving Carol Burnett a lifetime achievement award at the SAG awards Saturday night. Gotta remember to DVR that one. Another DVR alert: Larry David's hosting SNL on 2/6. I set that one up last night! What are the chances the real Bernie Sanders and the fake Bernie Sanders do a rap battle or something?

-For any of you guys as obsessed with Netflix's Making of a Murderer, another DVR alert. This Saturday night on ID Steven Avery: Innocent or Guilty. I better not have too many Titos on the rocks Saturday night at dinner. Between the SAG Awards and this one, I'm going to be up late.

-The IAB (Internet Advertising Bureau) put out a new Video Advertising Glossary. Pretty good tool actually. Thought I'd do a word of the day and see how it goes. Trying to stay fresh and relevant and even helpful
Addressable TV: Technology that lets you show different ads to different audience sgements watching the same TV program on IPTV (Internet Protocal Television) and set top boxes. Those segments could be defined by behavioral, demographic, and geographic factors from 1st, 2nd or 3rd party data sets.  Let me know if you'd like me to continue with these for a while.

-This weeks trivia theme is "real names" of TV characters. While doing some research I uncovered some of the Bravolebs real names and was a bit surprised by a few of them.
Nene Leakes: Linnethia Monique Leakes
Jax Taylor: Jason Cauchi
Gigi Hadid: Jelena Noura Hadid
Lala from Vanderpump Rules: Lauryn Kent
Captain Lee: Harold Rosbach
Rachel Zoe: Rachel Rosenzweig
Stassi Schroeder: Nastassia Bianca Schroeder
Retta: Marietta Sirleaf
Rocky Dakota from Below Deck: Raquel Bartlow
MJ from Shahs of Sunset: Mercedes Javid
GG from Shahs of Sunset: Golnesa Gharachedaghi

Tuesday's Trivia Question: On the show MASH, what was Hawkeye's real name? Not the actors name, the characters name.
