THE SHOWS
Nothing Left Unsaid
Anyone watch the Anderson Cooper/Gloria Vanderbilt HBO Documentary over the weekend? FASCINATING! I had NO idea Gloria Vanderbilt was married 3 times and had 4 sons. No idea the courts declared her mother unfit and she grew up the way she did. No idea she dated Frank Sinatra, No idea she was such an amazing artist and no idea she was also related to the Whitney museum people. I also had no idea what color Anderson Cooper's hair was prior to it turning gray. I downloaded the book too…new obsession.

Catastrophe
There are only 6 25 minute episodes in Season 2. I watched um all on Friday night. Can't decide if I like this show or not but it was quick and painless so I knocked it out pretty easily. For the record, Sharon and Rob are NOT married in real life, they star in the show together and they write the show together but that's it. For anyone who has no clue what I'm talking about. Catastrophe's on Amazon. Rob's American an was in London on business. He hooked up with Sharon, got her pregnant and married her. Season 2, they're still married and pregnant with their 2nd kid. I like the way they speak to each other, I think that's why I came back for Season 2. I usually don't do well with accents, but it doesn't bother me at all in this show. The question is, would I recommend this show? Ehhh not sure. I mean there are sooooo many shows you really need to watch, so if you're all caught up on everything I've ever recommended and have nothing left…sure, watch Catastrophe. If not then get busy with my binge list.

The Girlfriend Experience
I read about this show a while ago. It's based on a Steven Soderbergh movie about a NYC call girl. Elvis Presley's granddaughter, Riley Keough plays Christine Reed. She's putting herself through law school and has a friend who seems to be doing the same. Only difference is the friend is a call girl. The first 2 episodes show us how Christine gets to be one too. We also see her at school and beginning her internship at a prestigious law firm. I was pretty shocked by how much nudity we got at 8pm. Sure the show's on Starz but 8pm is still 8pm. Chloe from 24 is in the show and so is Paul Sparks from House of Cards. The first 2 episodes were intriguing and interesting. I mean who doesn't enjoy a good call girl drama? This one looks like it's going to get very juicy though. It looks like Christine's legal and illegal life will collide and explode. I'm in for now. LOVE that it's only 30 minutes. If you have kids in the house, I wouldn't watch this one live. DVR and watch after they're in bed.

Dice
Finally a Dice show that works! I would say that this show is Curb Your Enthusiasm with Dice in the Larry David role. Larry's Larry...Dice is Dice. He still has the hair and the glasses and the finger less gloves but he's been taken down a bit and he knows it. He's living in Vegas doing his thing.  His girlfriend is played Natasha Legero and his best friend is played by Kevin Corrigan. Over the years whenever I've seen Dice trying to make a comeback he just seemed sad. Not this time. I laughed for the right reasons last night. Of course I'm not clear why he hasn't updated the glasses. They look like the frames elderly Palm Beach dudes wear after cataract surgery. Anyway, the show's only 30 minutes and it's pretty funny. Dice had to attend a gay wedding. He didn't want to pay the $5.00 ATM fee for the cash to put into the gift envelope, so he went to the blackjack table to win the money and NOT pay the ATM fee. Of course he lost a ton and made it all back just in time to stuff the cash in the envelope and give a great toast to the groom & groom. Fingers crossed this one's a winner for Dice. I'm rooting for him.

Billions
Yes, it was a good finale. It wasn't the greatest but it was good enough. Axe gave Wendy a brand new Maserati and a $5MM bonus as a thank you for the awesome "session" last week. Then he fired her for using all the info he revealed. Wendy realized that it was Chuck who got into her laptop and taped Chuck confessing. Axe apologized but of course Wendy quit. She also kicked Chuck out. When Axe thought he was screwed, he had Lara put their disappearance plan into action. Nice to have a "guy" that can do that for you in your contacts. Of course the Axelrod's didn't have to disappear, Wendy's notes couldn't be used in court since they were obtained illegally. Crisis averted.  Axe met with Brian and offered him a job and an awesome slice of pizza. Brian enjoyed the slice and the offer but walked out without an official answer. We need Brian to stay on the good side, don't we? Is there a good side at this point? Axe and Wags ripped Axe Capital apart looking for a bug. If Axe is  innocent, why go so mental looking for the bug? Millions of dollars in damage to the place by the looks of it and no bugs. Anyway before the credits rolled, one last showdown between Axe and Chuck. I thought Axe was speaking with weird intonation in the final scene. It was a bit much and again, are we going to continue into next season with Axe vs. Chuck? This story can't go on and on. I'm bored already.

THE OTHER STUFF

-I gave up The Vampire Diaries when Nina Dobrev left. No Delena, no Carruba. Ian Somerhalder just announced that Season 8 will be his last so as far as I'm concerned there's really no point for anyone to still tune in. It's time to pull the plug guys. No…really. Just end it for good already. Stefan and Caroline aren't enough to keep anything going. So please, at this years upfront, make the big announcement. Season 8 is the final Season.

-It totally makes sense to me that Gabrielle Carteris, aka Andrea Zuckerman from Beverly Hills 90210 is now the President of SAG/Aftra. You can see it, can't you? She kicked ass heading up the Beverly Blaze and now she'll kick ass again heading up the actors union . The position was left vacant when Ken Howard passed away last month. Congrats and good luck, I'm sure if you need anything at all, Brandon can help. He's always there when you need him.

-Just goes to show you that even the best can fail. Terence Winter was the big cheese behind The Sopranos and Boardwalk Empire. He wrote The Wolf of Wall Street and we were all totally psyched for Vinyl because of his resume (and the fact that Martin Scorsese and Mick Jagger were involved in this thing) Well, as we all know, Vinyl stunk. I lasted 3 episodes and I don't know anyone that's stuck with it longer than that. Somehow, the show got renewed for a 2nd Season. Terence Winter did not. He just got the boot. I don't know if this news will bring viewers back for Season 2. These days if you don't hook us in right away, it's hard to get us back, especially on a Sunday!

-Anyone see Fred Savage fill in for  Michael Strahan on Live with Kelly & Michael the other day? He was so freaking good, so hilarious, and so excited to be there. If you have 15 minutes, check him out. I love when Kelly's husband fills in and of course we love when Anderson Cooper and NPH fill in, but honestly, Fred's gotta be added to the rotation. He's awesome:http://livekellyandmichael.dadt.com/live/host-chat-archive/

-The MTV Movie Awards were filmed on Saturday night but the show aired last night. Big problem with that for me. I got all the Red Carpet photos, clips and all of the winners online Saturday and Sunday morning. Sooooo why do I need to watch?

Here's a list of the winners:
