THE SHOWS

My evening commute's been a killer. Last night 2 hours...anyway, an easy evening of viewing thankfully. Jimmy Kimmel, Oprah, NBA Finals Game 6. Game was great, as you know, I'm rooting for the Cavs and as you should know by the time you're reading this, they won last night and we're going to Game 7. While the game was great, my favorite part of the entire thing was The Star Spangled Banner.  I always get the chills when that many people sing together, especially when they sing the Star Spangled Banner especially after the week we've all just had.  Now it all comes down to Sunday night. Lets Go CAVS!!!!

THE OTHER STUFF

-Cute guys just always land on their feet, don't you think? Wilmer Valderrama dumped Demi Lovato and then...BOOM he landed a roll on NCIS next Season.  John Stamos's show, Grandfathered, was cancelled and then, BOOM he landed Season 2 of  Scream Queens. See what I mean? Not so sure it's that simple for everyone in the "biz."

-Last night, James Corden hit the Archlight Theatre in Los Angeles and he didn't really give anyone a break, he just got the manager to add him to the staff for the day which of course was hilarious. Check it out:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=046DL2H-ZPA

-Now that the new Grammy contracts with CBS are signed sealed and delivered, the Grammy board made some rule and category changes. I'm not sure I understand them all but I think the gist of making the changes was to reflect how music is released and consumed in 2016.
Now, Streaming Only Recordings will be Grammy eligible, the number of categories in which voters may vote was decreasing from 20 to 15 & the Best New Artist nominee doesn't actually have to put out an entire album. There were more changes, but those are the ones I cared about the most.

-NBC Hired a new Head of Drama...Lisa Katz from FOX who gave us Empire has signed on to help crack the Drama code for the Peacock peeps. I don't know, I would have just left Friday Night Lights and Parenthood on forever. That's probably why I didn't get Lisa's job.

-If you haven't seen Hamilton and know you won't before Lin-Manuel leaves next month. DO NOT FREAK OUT about it. They're filming it. Of course at this point, there are zero plans on when and where they're going to show his final performances, but I'm guessing whoever pays the most, gets it. Any bets on this one? Netflix??? Amazon??? That Broadway website?

-I gave up Orphan Black after last season, I even removed it from my Binge List. Got way to confusing for me and most people. BBC America renewed the show for one final Season. They're going to wrap it allll up next Spring. Good thinking guys, I'd think the writers are even confused at this point.

-For all of us Real Housewives fans, some sad news, Yolanda Foster, not coming back. She needs to stay healthy and bop around the world with Gigi, Bella and Anwar orrrrr maybe she's got something else planned. I'd like to see her get back with the kids dad, get him a new non Bee Gees hairdo and move back into the Malibu house with awesome fridge.

-Don't forget...The new season of Orange is the New Black is up on Netflix RIGHT NOW!

-If you're a West WIng fan, check out The West WIng Reunion on Josh Malina's podcast. Most of the cast and the shows creator, Aaron Sorkin were on hand at the ATX Festival last Saturday. Their appearance was recorded and you can hear the entire thing right now on Josh's podcast. If you're a fan of the show it's a must listen. It's great to listen to when you're commuting for 2 hours.
