WATCHING WAY TOO MUCH 3/12/12

The two shows that spun-off from the original 90210 were MELROSE PLACE and MODELS INC.  THE HEIGHTS was not a spin-off. In order for THE HEIGHTS to be right, Jamie Walters character, Ray Pruitt would have had to been in the show…he wasn’t.  So…only 2 people got it right!
FIRST TWO: Jamie Piro, James Gabriele

-Daylight savings time didn’t seem to work in my favor at all last night…I really thought I would be able to watch at least half of the show I wanted to last night, but I fell asleep after only watching ONCE UPON A TIME and the first hour of OPRAH with Whitney Houston’s family…maybe it was the interview that put me to sleep?  Bobbi Kristina, aka Bobbi Kris, aka Krissy…seems okay, she says she feels her Mom’s spirit all around her, she is constantly talking to her and she feels she is still very much “here”.  The interview with BK was odd in that the entire interview took place standing in the entrance way of Pat’s, BK’s aunt, home.  Only after BK leaves did Oprah and Pat sit down and chat.  Pat lead me to believe that Whitney had issues, she always needed to check on her, and Whitney needed to hear and see her every day…I didn’t see the second part of the interview yet…but so far…not much of interest.

-What was interesting was ONCE UPON A TIME…I think now, the writers  are taking even more poetic license with some of these fairytales…this week the focus was on Ruby from the diner who is also Red Riding Hood.  She is a full grown woman hence the loss of the word “little” in her name.  Red, was apparently in love with Peter from the fairytale Peter and the Woodsman and was always sneaking out of her Granny’s house to see him.  Granny was always yelling at Red to wear her red hooded cloak and I just thought she was your average annoying grandmother who wanted to wear your jacket even when you didn’t…but here’s the twist…Red is also the wolf that ate Peter from Peter and the Wolf…all this before Twilight and Team Jacob/Team Edward was even popular???  Hmmmm I don’t remember any werewolves in the fairytales I read.  See what I mean now about the poetic license?  In addition to this story, we are now entrenched in a bit of a mystery as to where is Katherine, why can’t David remember anything, whose heart is in the box and, no way that Mary Margaret really did it.

-I still need to watch tonight, the other part of the BK interview, the premiere of SHAH’S OF SUNSET, GCB, CELEB APPRENTICE and ICE LOVES COCO in between THE VOICE, BETHENNY, and SMASH…oh and I have a doctor’s appointment on my way home tonight…wish me luck.

-Friday’s LIVE WITH KELLY annoyed me…it’s Friday, should be casual day all around, and Kelly and her co-host Martin Short who were welcoming a young, “cool” boy band called, BIG TIME RUSH (who I took my son to meet and see on Friday night) and wore such stuffy, formal clothes…made no sense.  Good news…no you know what!

-I don’t always watch WATCH WHAT HAPPENS LIVE with Andy Cohen…I do have a season pass, but if I don’t know the celebrity guests or don’t like them, I just delete the episode, but the yummy Mark Consuelos, Kelly’s very WELL dressed husband, was on with Martha Stewart. Martha challenged Mark (who considers himself a neat freak and borderline OCDer) to try to fold a shirt using only one fold…I was amazed that this could actually be accomplished…after she taught Mark how to do it, they all took a shot from the “shotski” that Jimmy Fallon made for Andy and his guests as a gift when he was on the show.  I know that Jimmy is home, working on the one he is going to bring to my house when he comes for the big sleepover…anyway…ya gotta see this:

-SNL with Jonah Hill was pretty funny actually…there were 3 really great skits, but I am only posting one link here on the email, the others…well you know where to find them!

-Some great information from Trendrr.TV today!  Love this stuff, check it out:

With the start of MARCH MADNESS and all of the complaints I get that my trivia questions are too female skewing, I have asked my friend James Gabriele to provide basketball trivia questions all this week (remember, he supplied the football questions the week before the Superbowl).  There will be 5 easy ones here and an additional 5 hard ones on the blog.

Monday’s EASY basketball trivia question: What future NBA superstar made a jump shot for North Carolina 30 years ago to beat Georgetown?
Reminder the hard trivia questions and answers will now only be available on the blog.

Monday’s HARD basketball trivia question:Which player was named the 2003 Final Four Most Outstanding Player after leading Syracuse to a national championship?
