-Okay, done...He had me at Good Morning...Mario Lopez should hands down be Kelly's official co-host. He was back on LIVE WITH KELLY yesterday and I had forgotten just how truly delightful he is to watch. He's too cute, looks amazing in a suit (and I am sure equally as good without one), he's good at the gig, has normal size hands, and if you can't have Mark Consuelos, Mario is the perfect substitute. I vote Mario (that is of course since Jeff Probst, Anderson Cooper, Neil Patrick Harris, Alec Baldwin and Rob Lowe are all out of the running). While on with Kelly yesterday, Mario revealed that next season will be a DANCING WITH THE STARS ALL STARS season...not sure if it's true, but if it is, I am guessing he wasn't supposed to reveal that news just yet...hope he didn't just get knocked down to the bottom of the contender list over that one.
-It was that time again on SURVIVOR, when they play the game where everyone pretty much reveals how they REALLY feel about their tribe mates. We all knew that the girls didn't like Troyzan, but Christina too, was the target of a lot of negative comments. Kim won the reward challenge and totally screwed over one of her BFF's, Kat by not choosing her to go on the reward helicopter trip. Troyzan did everything he possibly could do to plant seeds of doubt with the tribe and I totally thought he had a shot in staying, but in the end, he didn't win immunity and his fate was pretty much sealed. So now it's 6 girls and Tarzan...this is when it will get interesting as all of the girls will now have to start turning on each other. If Tarzan is smart, he will lay low and just throw his votes where the girls want him to. On a side note, there was a wild boar that appeared at the SURVIVOR camp and everyone ran around like lunatics trying to catch it ...of course they didn't, but for the remainder of the episode, it appeared the boar was hanging out just out of range watching camp....and laughing
-Prior to the start of AMERICAN IDOL last night there was all of this activity on Twitter and Facebook that Ryan Seacrest wasn't going to make it for the first time in 11 years cause he had the stomach flu...so of course that did make me change the channel to see if he was able to tear himself away from the toilet to host the show...of course he did...he just got a huge raise and another 2 years on his contract...he couldn't let bad sushi get in the way of that...plus what if Dunkelman came back for the night and totally killed?
-If last night wasn't the finale of REVENGE, I have no idea what they are going to do next to top this episode. In thinking about it this morning while on the treadmill, there are really only 2 characters in the entire show who are not trying to manipulate, lie, cheat, steal or murder to get what they want and both of them are in love with Emily/Amanda who is the master manipulator of them all and will do all of the above in the name of revenge. You could argue that Daniel is a murderer, but he shot Tyler in self defense and his bullet wasn't the deadly one...so go with me on this. The last 5 minutes of REVENGE were perfect finale type stuff in that SPOILER ALERT: Emily/Amanda learns that her father didn't die in jail in a fight as she thought, but was murdered by the Grayson's just as the poor thug who messed with Ann Woodbury, one of the jurors on Daniels case was (even thought it was set up to look like a hanging). Still kind of confused on the entire painter storyline...you gotta give Victoria Grayson credit, this woman can manage to have an affair, manage her sons defense, pick out a beautiful ensemble to wear to court each day, and run circles around Emily/Amanda...talk about being productive...she puts me to shame. This show rocks...can't wait to see what happens next...and where do I get one of those whale cam's...could come in handy!
-Phil and Claire Dunphy, aka Ty Burrell and Julie Bowen, will be hosting the BILLBOARD MUSIC AWARDS on 5/20 ABC...
-BETHENNY better get herself together quickly...she will begin testing her talk show on 6 FOX affiliates around the country on June 11th. I have to say, if you had asked me a year ago if I thought that Bethenny would do well with her own talk show I would have very quickly said "yes, definetly", but now...I'm not so sure.
-The top cable networks according to 4,420 cable subscribers surveyed, that have programming they would watch on a smartphone, tablet or computer were:
