-Kelly and Jerry again on LIVE WITH KELLY, nothing to report there...at all
-BETHENNY's show yesterday was a bit better, she had her boss, Ellen Degeneres on, and then the rest of the show was a bit out of control as the topic was the book, "50 Shades of Gray". First, she had on Holly Robinson Peete who is currently reading the book and doesn't want her husband to know what it's about. Then Bethenny and a couple who read the book together, went to The Pleasure Chest together to pick up a few things. It was funny a bit much, but it worked. There is still some wonkiness, but episode 2 was better than episode 1. The good news for Bethenny (and Ellen), is that It averaged a 1.5 overnight HH rating improving its time period by 88% versus last year. Bethenny's strongest market was New York CIty, where it earned a 1.9/7 on WNYW. Right now the show is only on in 6 test markets, but I'm guessing it gets picked up and Bethenny will permanently leave NYC and her brand new apartment, she's going to Hollywooooooooooooooood!
-AMERICA'S GOT TALENT returned last night. Man the hour does fly by! We were simultaneously watching the Yankee game and the Thunder/Heat game, so we did see A-Rod's 23rd grand slam tying him with Lou Gehrig for most grand slams. I hate A-Rod, but hey, the numbers speak for themselves, so congrats Alex...let's hope I don't have to wait until August for you to get another hit or do something spectacular. I also hate the Miami Heat, so shout out to the Oklahoma City Thunder for taking game 1!
-We knew that Jerry O'Connell got the Herman Munster gig on the new show MOCKINGBIRD LANE, and now we know that Ellen Degeneres's wife, Portia DeRossi, will be playing his wife Lily Munster. I could see it actually...it could work, but now, Portia will need to wear a wig since she just cut her long blond hair! Check it out...
-While it's highly unlikely that CBS will win their battle over ABC with regard to the show THE GLASS HOUSE, it is going right to the wire. On Monday, ABC was in court asking for the judge to block the June 18th premiere because it copies key elements of their show, (and my favorite Summer guilty pleasure) BIG BROTHER. The judge did find merit in the case and agreed to hear it on an expedited basis, but so far that's all we know.
-Lots of speculation, but yesterday, Kate Walsh finally confirmed that this season of PRIVATE PRACTICE will be her last. While the show has been renewed, it will live on without her.
-Wednesday's Trivia Question: I am getting requests for NBA Trivia and more Dead or Alive so...since I want to keep you all happy...here's something for everyone:
1) Abe Vigoda...Dead or Alive

-You
know this is usually a Kardashian free zone, but I just have to go
there today...Oprah is just trying so hard...she can't thinking of
anything, so what is doing this Sunday...interviewing the entire
Kardashian clan and ya know what, this will in fact get her some
numbers. Not huge ones, but increases against most of the other Sunday
night programming she's aired. I gotta get some numbers for
you...what's your guess, at least a 100% increase right? America loves
these freaking Kardashians and now, Oprah will too!
-The
television is still dominant in terms of the device that consumers use to watch
videos, but it has lost a little bit of its grip on the US household, according
to findings from the upcoming Nielsen Q2 2012 Cross-Platform Report. The TV set captures 93.7% of time spent
viewing, which is down from 99.4% two years ago. Of the other
6.3%, about 3% of household video consumption is through online or on mobile
devices. Americans are
watching an average of 35 hours of video programming per week.

My boss showed me this amazing commencement address that occurred at a high school in Connecticut. The video is almost 13 minutes, but when you have time, I urge to you watch it. It is truly brilliant and for all you parents out there raising kids in this day and age, you will appreciate these words...trust me...make the time for this one.
