BIG BROTHER NOTES
  • I think I need to meet the Mom and Dad of the Hantz family.  All 3 of their sons that the public has been exposed to have no idea how to socially interact with anyone.  Willie came on to BB thinking he needed to hide the fact that he was Russell's brother, as if that would screw up his game somehow.  Willie proclaimed that he would win BB and that he knew what Russell was doing wrong on SURVIVOR...well...Willie was actually worse than Russell.  At least Russell never lost it and got thrown off of the island for physically harming another player.  What is wrong with these people? THIS IS A GAME dude...bummer, you're hated by everyone, bummer, you're on slop this week, bummer your teammates want nothing to do with you...it's because you're an idiot...The thing is, you were at least interesting, Willie, and and now you're gone.
  • Dan's still yelling
  • Janelle is still the best at this game
  • Boogie is still a jerk
  • The Ian/Ashley slop date was lame and cute all at the same time, I would have bagged the clown bow tie, but Ashley seemed to enjoy herself
  • The MC Hammer coaches challenge was hilarious to me, of course Britany had no idea who MC Hammer was and even though she had a huge lead, she blew it in the end
  • How long does it take to set the yard up for these things?  It's gotta take a long time no?
  • Joe's micro beard is an odd choice...it's so tiny and so light that you can barely tell if it's there, so maybe just get rid of it?  Seems like it takes quite a big of effort to produce something so small
  • Danielle's best quote of the night, when referring to her relationship with Shane..."If something happens, it will only happen if it's real".  Have you watched ANY of these shows Danielle...none of them are "REAL".  These people are classic...
-The TEEN CHOICE AWARDS were painful...truly painful.  Each outfit Demi Lovato came out in was worse than the next.  Justin Bieber sat in the first row holding court (you know just like Jack Nicholson did for all of those REAL award shows) and sort of ignored Selena Gomez...at least that's how it looked to me.  While Justin did perform, and danced his butt off, his singing was horrible. There were so many awards given out that you couldn't really keep it all straight. Not sure why they have so many categories if they don't have any time to announce them on the show...isn't this made up awards show purely for the sake of having an awards show?  If it is,  then just pick enough categories to give out on the show and be done.  Even the celebrities didn't want all the surfboard awards, so they started giving them to the kids in the audience.  Can you imagine the fights that broke out at the end of the show when deciding which kid got to keep the annoyingly large surfboard?  I'm sure the parents picking up these kids were thrilled as they tried to fit that surfboard in the trunk.  The worst part of the night was having to sit through another example of Kristen Stewarts inability to speak.  Enough already... The big finale was supposed to be Carly Rae Jepsen singing "Call Me Maybe" to taped celebrity segments from the red carpet. Unfortunately, the director focused on Carly Rae's awful singing (and awful outfit) instead of on the celebrity footage which was much more interesting.  My favorite part of the show was, Ian Somerhalder winning for "Choice Hottie"  (Over Bieber I might add).  While everyone was screaming for him to take his shirt off (I was too) he unfortunately did not comply...it was still nice to see him though.

For anyone at all that cares...here is the list of awards given out.

-I'm truly hoping that over on WEEDS they finally get back to selling weed next week.  We did see Silas's "garden", so there should be some product to sell soon, but these past few weeks there have been way too many distractions.  Nancy and Stevie, Nancy's recovery, Jill and Andy's "relationship" and Doug sleep pooping on his own newspaper. C'mon guys,  let's get back to basics and end this thing on a high note.  Nancy and Andy together, Silas being the Weed king, Shane graduating from the police academy and Jill gone.  That's my finale anyway.

-The entire cast of MODERN FAMILY is negotiating their contract RIGHT NOW, as the current one apparently expires on Tuesday.  Just like the FRIENDS cast they are all negotiating together.  Currently all 6 adult members of the cast currently earn 65,000 per episode and are looking for a 207% increase or 200,000 per episode, with the exception of Ed O'Neill who apparently currently earns 100,000 per episode and is also looking for an increase.I'm assuming they'll get it...I'll let you know when I hear the news.

- SULLIVAN & SONS on Thursday night delivered 2.5 million total viewers as well as 1.3 million with A18-49. The second new episode (that aired right after the first one) delivered another 2.0 million viewers and 1.0 million A18-49. I guess I gotta check this one out now.

- Some great news for Direct TV subscribers, they officially gotten their MTV and all other Viacom networks back after the 10 day dispute was settled on Friday.  While details aren't available, from what I can determine, Viacom did get a bit of a bump in fees from Direct TV.  As I was saying all along, this needed to be worked out fast or everyone would be going down a very slippery slope.  I'm sure this is all far from over in the grand scheme of things, but at least in this case, unlike the Dish case, an agreement was reached.

-I keep reading that Facebook users aren't satisfied with the mobile experience...I would have to agree, but hopefully Facebook can tell from these figures, that mobile is important and continues grow...so MZuck...get cracking!
-US Mobile Facebook Users and Penetration, 2010-2014 (millions and % of mobile social network users)

Monday's Trivia Question:

This weeks theme is TV Cars...I will give you a photo and you need to tell me the TV show the car starred in.  Added bonus if you know the make and model of the car.  If anyone gets all the shows and all the cars correct there will be a prize.

WWTM-Kristy
