-NOTHING, and I mean nothing was on last night.  I went to yoga, checked out LIVE WITH KELLY with this weeks guest host, Josh Groban which was pretty decent, watched an episode of THE GOOD WIFE (season 3) and then another episode of BREAKING BAD (still in season 3 trying to catch up).  Tonight we have 2 hours of  AGT , so that should give me something good to discuss tomorrow.

-Speaking of BREAKING BAD, season 5's premiere was the most watched episode in the history of the series. Pretty impressive considering that currently AMC is not being carried by the DISH satellite system.  The show delivered a 2.2 HH rating and 2.9 million viewers. This is a 22% and 14%  increase  respectively. Even more impressive is the growth among A18-49 demo, which saw a +34% increase versus last season’s premiere.  This is the final season of the show.  I gotta admit that I got on this shows bandwagon late.  I'm currently in the middle of season 3 but hope to have the entire series under my belt by Summer's end.  It's a great show, it really is.  Again, not something I would normally watch, but...I admit it...I'm hooked on it as bad as Walt's customer base is hooked on his meth.

- USA had pretty high hopes for its new miniseries POLITICAL ANIMALS, and while it did deliver 2.6 million viewers, only 675,000 of them were adults 18-49 or a .5 rating.
the show aired at 10pm on Sunday night which is a really dumb night to launch anything big...there is just SO much on Sunday nights.  The series was supposed to be a six-part miniseries, with hopes of another season if it did well in the ratings. Doesn't look promising now.

-For anyone counting, this is day 6 of the Direct TV/Viacom standoff.  Direct TV has been offering up some other channels to it's subscribers to make up for the loss of MTV and Nick like Fuse, The Hub and Sprout.  People with kids are likely to go insane with out Spongebob and Jersey Shore...just give them back their MTV guys...lets end this thing soon!

-For all of you Mark Consuelos fans (like me), Mark will be joining the cast of the upcoming season of AMERICAN HORROR STORY on FX.  I don't do scary stuff at all, but because I am a big Mr. Ripa fan and want to support him in any way I can, I'll DVR it and just fast forward to the parts he's in...hopefully he will be shirtless in all of them.

-Season 5 of SONS OF ANARCHY will premiere on September 11th
-Season 3 of TOP GEAR premieres on August 14

-Tuesday's Trivia Question: This most successful primetime comedy of the 1990's (and perhaps of all time) started out as a mid-season replacement and was truly on the verge of cancellation.  Name the show
