Ok, finally something interesting that got me to tune in to OPRAH again.  She had Chris Bosh, Dwayne Wade and LeBron James on last night. It was a good interview, actually quite surprising.  I didn't know too much about Bosh and Wade.  Lebron, I had seen his movie, read his book and liked him...that is before I hated him.  Honestly...I think I am back to liking him after the interview.  He wanted to win a Championship and agrees that maybe it should have all been handled differently, but he seems to have himself together at this point and didn't come off like a d*ck at all.  I know what you're thinking...I know.  I'm sorry, at least I'm being honest though.

-Sunday's are brutal even in the Summer.  At 10pm, I had to make a tough choice, REAL HOUSEWIVES OF NJ, NEWSROOM (I dropped the "the") or the season premiere of WEEDS and EPISODES which is what I went with.  WEEDS was good! SPOILER ALERT: It was Nancy who got shot in the head during last seasons cliffhanger.  But now we know who shot her, the FBI agent who was killed in season one or two...his son! Never would have seen that coming at all.  So now everyone is hanging out in Nancy's hospital room while she is in a medically induced coma.  Of course even these people can be inappropriate in this situation.  Stealing another patients food, peaking down Nancy's gown.  Crazy stuff.  Of course as always, Justin Kirk steals the show when speaking to a guy who turns out to be a Jewish Chaplain.  Glad WEEDS is back even though it's the beginning of the end.

-EPISODES was also pretty good.  The show within a show, PUCKS, premiered to some great ratings which means good news for Matt LeBlanc, Sean and Beverly.  I know it's twisted but the entire storyline with Merc's blind wife, does make me laugh.

-Okay, so maybe you didn't spend your entire weekend talking about Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes, but you know I did.  Pretty much everyone saw it coming, thought Katie's 5 year contract was up, and thinks that Tom will end up with John Travolta. Katie is filing for sole custody which to me means that she doesn't want Suri to become a Scientologist like Cruise's other kids but hey, I'm making this stuff up in my warped little mind.

-This week, Matt Lauer is on vacation, so THE TODAY SHOW had to get  Ann Curry's replacement in before Matt left for Jumby Bay (or wherever he's hangin these days), and before the OLYMPICS started.  As expected, Savannah Guthrie quietly took Ann's seat next to Matt on Friday morning.  Did you watch the video of Ann's goodbye, she couldn't even look at Matt and Matt looked like the cat that swollowed the canary.  I know a lot of you are TODAY SHOW people, I'm a GMA girl and have no idea who Savannah Guthrie is, but good luck to her at least she knows what she's getting into.

-DALLAS has already been renewed for another season, who knows how long JR's eyebrows will be by then. He should be able to donate them to Locks for Love at the rate he's going.  Not sure if they'll take long coarse gray eyebrow braids, but maybe their is another old geezer whose eyebrows have fallen off and needs replacing.  I am sure he would be forever grateful for the donation.

-FX's Thursday night comedy lineup featuring Charlie Sheen's ANGER MANAGEMENT, WILFRED and LOUIS became the biggest night of comedy on cable ever as it set ratings records for a primetime scripted comedy series premiere.  WILFRED and LOUIS got the benefit as both shows gained audience from Charlie's strong lead in.  Congrats Charlie...I wonder if Chuck Lorre is pissed off that the numbers were so good.

-NBC and the producers of SMASH are putting together a live broadcast of the Broadway musical THE SOUND OF MUSIC.  While I am not a huge Broadway person, THE SOUND OF MUSIC is one of my all time favorite movies, I think it would be a great event if NBC can pull it off.  They need someone juicy to play Captain Von Trapp and Maria...any suggestions?

For all of you New Yorkers, who watch GOOD DAY NEW YORK, you may have noticed a familiar face this morning as Dave Price who had been the weather guy for a few years before leaving channel 5 for the CBS EARLY SHOW is back but this time he will be sitting along side Rosanna Scotto and anchoring.

I had given AWKWARD a try when it premiered last season.  I actually did like it, but it just didn't make my season pass list.  Apparently it did make other people's as the premiere of the second season was pretty strong. 2.2 million viewers helped the show deliver a 2.2 rating with MTV's core demo of 12-34.  This was a 29% increase over the shows original premiere last July.

Pretty sure most of you know that I gave up Netflix a while ago and now I pretty much am a Hulu disciple.  I am not the only one either.
  • Hulu reached 1 in 5 video viewers online with 19% penetration (12 year old sense of humor giggling right now...penetration)
  • Hulu remains #1 in online video ads, delivering 1.7 BILLION in May alone
  • For the 8th consecutive month, Hulu reached over 30 MILLION unique viewers, with nearly 36 million the month of May.  Thanks Comscore...I love this stuff.

-For anyone out there that is a DISH subscriber, not sure if you noticed, but at 12M on Saturday night/Sunday AM, DISH dropped the AMC networks from its lineup.  The DISH people didn't want to be forced to carry the lower rated networks, like IFC and Sundance, that AMC was insisting upon as part of the deal.  DISH currently has 14 million subscriber who are going to have to find another way to watch shows like MAD MEN, WALKING DEAD and BREAKING BAD.  They all go back to court in mid-September.  If nothing changes, it sends a pretty major message in the industry.

-Interesting article in Forbes magazine last week that I finally had a chance to read about online video and how it is currently being embraced by marketers as the space evolves.  Shout out to my director, Marc Fonzetti, aka "The Godfather of Online Video" for his foresight in  the space and his ability to push the industry forward.  I better be careful...had no idea I was working for "The Godfather".  If you haven't read the article...take a look:

Monday's Trivia Question: I am proclaiming this week Tom Cruise week...just because I feel like it.  So for today's Trivia Question...we all know that Tom Cruise played Maverick in TOP GUN, but what was Mav's real name in the movie?
