Yeah my NJ JETS started the season off right with at 48-28 victory over Buffalo, but this isn't a sports blog, so I can't really go into how enjoyable it was to witness.  Sorry about that but as a Jet fan, my joy is usually fleeting, so it probably won't happen again.

Did you guys watch the US Open Women's Finals match?  What was up with Victoria Azarenka?  Is she a bird caller or a tennis player?  I really wished the cameraman would have focused on her so that I could see the face she made when she actually made that noise. Sounded more like she was trying to make contact with a blue footed booby (that's the bird above) than Serena Williams.  Sorry...again with the sports...but I just had to comment.

Back to our regularly scheduled programming:
Big Brother Bullets:
  • I can't stand when everyone says "who can you trust in this game" You can't trust ANYONE in the game...how do they not know this by now?
  • Jen should be grateful she is even in the game at all.  She's done NOTHING the entire season, so she can't get angry when players that are actually doing the dirty work don't do what she wants them to do.  That's ridiculous. She irks me.
  • How in the world do the house guests remember what day everything happened?  I can't remember yesterday...good thing I'm not in the BB house.
  • Even seeing the flashback clip of Jessie Clause annoys me.  I hated him.
  • Tie Breaker HOH between Shane and Ian was so stressful to watch
  • Ian is the new very teary and emotional HOH...ask my son...I said that Ian could win this thing from Day 1...ask him.  Or check my Facebook page, or Twitter, or this blog, I know I said it.
  • Snake scarf and the glasses...great look Ian
  • Pandora's Box...IGNORE IT IAN...IGNORE IT...of course he opens Pandora's Box...and what does he get?   Rachel...ewwwwwwwwwwww
  • How beautiful was Shane's sister?
  • Didn't it look like Danielle had a brown stain on her forehead for this entire episode?Shane got just as choked up at Chelsea's message to Dan as Dan did... how touchingWhy do they always have to read the rules to the Veto and the Nominations all the time?  We know how it all works already and pretty sure the houseguests know the deal too.
  • Ian didn't nominate Dan??? Maybe he feels it's safe to backdoor him?  Nominating Shane and Jen is still a good move no matter what.Danielle crying about possibly having to vote Shane out is ridiculous. It's a 500K you gotta do what you gotta do to win this thing...STOP CRYING!
Second to last episode of Weeds and we get the original opening, and the original theme song, but now the town is called Regrestic instead of Agrestic...funny...very funny.  Conrad's back...yeah. So is Lapida and Yael, and the supposed love of Silas's life, the deaf girlfriend Megan. But the best of all...Guilleramo and his crew were back too.  So basically everyone is back that made Weeds great. Just a few missing pieces, but guessing they'll be back in the finale. Okay, so super weird, I need to talk to someone about the Andy/Nancy sort of love scene.  I mean We have been waiting for 8 seasons for Andy and Nancy to be together and when they finally are it was sort of creepy and scary with really weird music and then Andy runs away? I think I didn't get it.  Can someone help me out here.

I don't know why I found it so funny...I guess because I had no idea that anyone ate Country Crock butter substitute, let alone so much that you require a super large bucket of it like they had at the Gorga household on Real Housewives of NJ.  If that's how Melissa Gorga has that amazing body, then I'm going and getting some Country Crock too.  They were so busy with their Country Crock that the Gorga's missed the school bus on the first day of school...hilarious. I love Kathy and Richie and their kids.  So cute how sad Kathy got when she was talking about her daughter leaving for college.  I bet Victoria stays home though.  If my Mom had made platters and platters of desserts every day for no occasion at all, I'd have wanted to stay home.  With all of her amazing Mom skills, Kathy should have pointed out to Theresa that Audriana shouldn't be playing with the oven...maybe she didn't want to make trouble. Have to admit, I did get a little disgusted with Richie when he made that comment about women doing laundry.  What's wrong with these people?  Why am I even asking that anymore when it comes to this nutty show? Theresa's Fabolini party celebrating her "adult beverage" seemed a bit ridiculous.  Is anyone buying that stuff?  I shouldn't talk...I buy Skinny Girl Pina Colada like crazy.  I really have had enough of Theresa and her flower headed children and disgusting husband.  Only in America can a person who says "she hurted me" be a celebrity big enough to launch an "adult beverage" called Fabolini...I'm done.  This is way too many words on RHONJ and I could go on, but really...what's the point?
With the announcement of Jimmy Kimmel's promotion to the 1135pm time slot, the Late Night wars will really heat up in January.  With all of the buzz, I thought it might be a good idea to start including the weekly Late Night ratings.  Let me know if you like/don't like etc.  (These would only be published on Friday's)

 1135p-1235a Letterman .6/2.2

Some awesome MTV Video Music Awards info courtesy of my friends at Trendrr and some from Nielsen!

  • Total social activity for 2011 5,567,954
  • Top 3 social buzz moments during the show: One Direction winning Best Pop Video, Pink's performance & Frank Ocean's performance
  • Top 5 mentioned celebs: One D, Frank O, Katy Perry, Kevin Hart & Taylor Swift
  • Positive sentiment 64%, Neutral 16% and interestingly enough 20% was negative
  • Not shocking...71% female and 29% male
  • 53% mobile devices/47% internet
  • Top DMA's: NY, LA, Chicago, Atlanta and Miami
  • RA18-49 2.8 with 6.1 Total Viewers...half the number of last year...HALF!  Granted the show aired on a Thursday, but there was nothing else against it.  No major sporting events, no season premiere's or finales.  Sure it was double evicition night on BB and sure we are getting down to the wire on AGT, but HALF the audience.  Maybe they did need Bieber.
If you have been reading this blog for a while, then you know I have a weird obsession with Jimmy Fallon.  Not a sexual one, I don't want to sleep with him or marry him or anything, I just want him to come hang out at my house, watch TV and have some snacks.  I want to be BFF's with him.  The kind of BFF's that text each other and go to a movie and the diner afterwards.  I just think he is so talented and can do no wrong.  I didn't watch either convention, and I really am not into politics at all, so please don't judge this video on my politics (there aren't any to judge)...I really just love Jimmy!

Just a reminder 13 days until the EMMY Awards...get your ballots in asap!  Let's see who really knows their TV!

Monday's Trivia Question: Since we are going back to school at this time of the year, I thought I would try some TV School Trivia...so...What school did Skreech, Zach, Slater, Kelly and Jessie go to?

  1. well is what happens to sex when you wait forever to have it!! ugh so well written for Andy & Nancy but sad, real sad, super realistic tho.....my regrets r there's only last episode left so not many sex scenes to enjoy those crazy kids having:( fingers crossed for them ending up together in the finale.

if I'd have to guess - pretty sure he got her pregnant ( he came inside her, how the scene looked - am I perv for reading into that? :P)n him wanting to be a dad that will be great resolution to it all...
