The Yankee game was just so stressful and I freaking HATE A-Rod. I guess I'll be stressed tonight again too...I'm exhausted!
Just a note...Arrow on the CW did a 1.3 RA18-49 and delivered 4 million viewers (just think how many more it would've had if me and all my Cablevision friends could watch it and the Yankee game wasn't on!) This was the best premiere since The Vampire Diaries. I saw the pilot, it's a cool show...watch it online this weekend if you missed it.
Last night on the X Factor we were brought back to the judges fake houses. I realize that every one's outside in Sunny LA, but the sunglasses thing is just ultra annoying and I'm sure really intimidating to the contestants. LA seemed generally irritated, Justin and Scooter didn't really add much, but at least the view from the fake house was pretty amazing. LA had made it very clear that he wasn't happy when he was given the over 25's but a lot of his teams performances were pretty good. My favorite was Vino who sang P!nk's "Sober". We did find out that Vino and his Mom were abused which now makes the tattooed head thing a bit more comprehensible to. Interesting that most of LA's comments were about the contestants looks and not their talent. Hey, LA...the show that's kicking your butt isn't based on looks, it's based on whether or not you can sing! Next was Brittany and Will I. am at her gorgeous Malibu fake house. (I need to tell my husband...we should get a fake house too!) Brittany has the most talented team (in my opinion) which is good since she really has nothing of substance to offer these kids. Brittany and William also both wore big annoying sunglasses and did you see William's snazzy jazzy shoes? I don't think he got those on Zappos.com. Brittany, sounded like an old smoker, when she called everyone sweetie, it was sort of creepy. I am already making my prediction...Carly Rose Sonenclar will win X Factor.
I love Alec Baldwin, but between 30 Rock and those Capitol One ads, I think he may need to lay low for a while. This week, Jack and Liz were still plotting NBC's demise by NOT doing political humor during the election. That lasted all of a minute when they saw that Romney's running mate looked a lot like Tracy Morgan and then a lot of crazy sketches just had to happen. After all these seasons, Kenneth's Mom and Step Dad finally came to NYC to see their boy at work. Kenneth's Mom was Kevin's Mom (aka Catherine O'Hara) from Home Alone and Kevin's stepdad was Walter White (Bryan Cranston) aka Heisenberg. When Kenneth' Mom was telling Jenna about how things were going, she made reference to the meth addicted Mayor of their town...cool move writers (I mean Tina Fey), but the best line of the episode goes to Jack Donaghey when telling Liz she needs to produce 5 shows a week he said " Hear that? It's the Sound of Honey Boo Boo's piling up on your Tivo". Oh...one more thing, Matthew "Ferris Bueller" Broderick showed up in this episode as a guy named Cooter Burger...hilarious.
I'm always open to suggestions, and with the Debates on last night, there wasn't that much for me to watch, so when one of my loyal WWTM readers, suggested I check out The League on FX, I actually had the perfect night to give it a shot. I got excited when I saw the guys were hanging out at Gibson's in Chicago, one of my favorite steakhouses of all time in. But, that was actually all I liked about the show. I get it...it's a guys show. I chuckled here and there, but it's really not for me. It's about a group of friends who are WAY too into their Fantasy Football League...I know this is going to sound bad (try not to judge me), but maybe if just one of the guys was hot I'd want to watch it again, but pretty sure that won't happen. Sorry, Eric, this one's just not my thing, but I appreciate the suggestion.
We could get to see the Munsters remake sooner than we thought...sounds like NBC is going to are it on 10/26 before Grimm as a Halloween special. I wonder if that means NBC thinks it's pretty good? Just a reminder, Jerry O'Connell is Herman, Portia D de Rossi is Lily and Eddie Izzard is Grandpa. I'll probably check it out.
Yesterday, MTV announced that it's expanding its hip hop music, lifestyle and programming content across all of its channels under the brand name MTV Jams...I wonder if on this version of MTV they will play music videos?
People still love Duck Dynasty on A&E, the premiere on Wednesday delivered 3.8 million viewers! Remember this one? I tried it and hated it, but I must have been the only one.
Check out the 45+ Growth here...we have a date with my Mom to teach her how to use her iPad...she will be happy to know that I categorized her as 45+ that has to get me some brownie points.
