See Dad Run is the new Scott Baio show on Nick at Night...of course...it's on SUNDAY, because that when every other show in the world that's worth checking out is on. I did my job, I checked it out and it's exactly what you'd think a show on Nick at Night starring Scott Baio would be.  It's another cutesy family show. The premise of this one is that Scott plays the Dad of 3 kids and an actor who spent 10 years as the perfect Dad on a family sitcom.  He retires so his wife can follow her acting dreams and becomes a stay at home Dad.  He's an idiot (a cute one, but an idiot nonetheless), the kids are cute, the teenager rolls her eyes and everything ends up great in the end.  In this episode, Scott loses his daughter, and I'm sort of embarrassed to admit that I laughed out loud when Joe, (aka Jamie from One Tree Hill) farted and again when Scott tried to scam the piano teacher and pass off his friend Brenda who is a little person and stand in from Scott's sitcom as his 4 year old daughter. It was funny.  Baio is 52 and looks pretty much exactly the same.  No need to tune in unless your kids don't like Once Upon a Time.

A lot happened on this week's Once Upon a Time, I hope I can even capture it all as there was a lot of jumping back and forth between Enchanted Forest in the past, real life in Storybrooke, and Enchanted Forest now.  Lets see...Well, Cora, Regina's Mom is a total crazy lunatic who makes Regina look like a sweetheart. Another lovely guy was Prince Charming's adopted Dad, (you'd recognize him from Lost)  who put a curse on Snow so she could never have kids.  Charming was trying to save his Mom and get to this lake that had super healing powers, he also thought the water could  break the curse put on Snow.  Of course when they got to the lake, it was gone and only one drop of magic water hidden in a shell was left. Charming's Mom scammed Snow into drinking it and letting her die.  So that's how they were able to have Emma.  Also, we were introduced to Lancelot, who saved Snow back in the day and was the leader of the Haven where Emma and Snow were taken by Mulan. We thought Lance was hooking Snow up again by giving her Mulan to help her with the Ogres that look and act nothing like Shrek and find the magic wardrobe, but Lancelot was really Cora, the super evil deluxe witch who forced them to burn the wardrobe and their hopes of getting back to Storybrooke.  When Emma torched the wardrobe and realized she was just doing what she needed, to protect her kid, she had an Oprah light bulb moment realizing that's what Snow did to protect her so many years ago, so...no therapy for them, all's good, except they are still stuck on the wrong side of the odd Fairtyale universe.
I'm not sure I really understood all of Revenge to be honest.  We definitely know now that Takada's dude Reese had a thing with Amanda but we don't know if she was really into it or not.  We also know that Reese found Amanda's Mom hanging out at a creepy Psycho looking Motel and she seems to know that somethings up.  Jack got a haircut and Decklin's now a jewel thief, but the entire Grayson thing is a bit confusing at this point.  Basically, Victoria had a press conference where she really wouldn't answer any questions, but she did tell everyone that Charlotte's Dad was David Clarke, and that her 1/2 sister is the fake preggers, Amanda Clarke.  Jack sees this on TV and you can tell he's going to blow a gasket. Daniel and his Dad really seem to have no alternative but to play along even though they keep telling Victoria they think she's despicable and they want no part of her.I guess the money is all in her control and so they all need get in line.  Did I get it all?  I think I might have.

Best show of the night was of course Homeland.  It started out where Jessica and Brody are having an intimate moment that gets embarrassingly interrupted by Dana and her friend.  But was it me or was Brody's "pup tent" pretty evident? He didn't try to hide it, in fact by the way he was standing, it looked like he was showing it off, but I digress.  Anyway, Brody's supposed to speak at Jessica's fundraiser, but of course he gets instructions from Abu Nazir's chick to go get the bomb making tailor and bring him to the safe house that of course he doesn't need a GPS to find.  The tailor doesn't trust Brody but goes anyway and what do you know...flat tire! And what do you know...no jack.  But Brody's a trained military guy so he Macgyver's a way to get the car up onto big pieces of wood so he can change the tire.  All good and their on their way, but of course they have to stop for gas and the tailor needs some tobacco, so Brody like the trained military guy he is leaves him in the car alone, goes and gets it and when he comes back...he's gone.  So he chases him in the woods and of course Jess is calling saying "Where the F are you?" and he's out of breath with the tailor screaming in the background...so what does he do? Snaps his neck and kills him.  Now he's gotta get clean and get home, but Jess is out of time and gives this awesome speech and goes home with Mike.  Brody shows up and Jess knows he's hiding something and tells him he's on his way out if he doesn't get it together.  Carrie also had a tough night.  David and the CIA call her in to the office and again she thinks she's getting reinstated, but not yet, so she is totally bummed and goes home and takes a ton of pills but then has second thoughts and pukes them all up.  Good thing she did because Saul shows up and shows her the Brody video. Vindication...she'll def get her job back now!

Kevin and Dani took Dani's family to Florence, Italy this week on Married to Jonas. With all the talk about Dani's Mom's fear of flying it was Dani who was having a ton of anxiety issues.  She's back on meds and now bumming that she can't have a baby just yet.  I have never seen two families put so much pressure on anyone to have a kid...ever.  Dani is SO young, what is the rush people?  Go see the world, go on tour, get your meds right and then...then...have a kid.  OMG you would think she was Kate Middleton or something.  (Still love the show though)
Did you watch Felix Baumgartner's jump on Sunday? We did, and apparently so did a ton of other people too. The space jump broke the record for most people watching a live video stream. Over 8 million people viewed the jump live on Sunday afternoon which blew the previous record of 500,000 live streams during the London Summer Olympics out of the water.  Felix went up 24 miles and then...he came down.  Sounds sort of lame when I type it but it was pretty freaking cool to watch and listen to live.  Felix's body plunged to earth at a record setting 833.9 miles per hour which is faster than the speed of sound.  Makes my Sunday of Couch Potatoing seem pretty pathetic, but I'm betting we both enjoyed ourselves equally.

The season premiere of  The Vampire Diaries (that I had to watch on Friday instead of Thursday because I am a Cablevision customer) was really good with the exception of one major thing...everyone remained fully clothed for the entire episode.  That's not a great start guys, luckily the show was really good without the benefit of Damon or Stefan's abs.  The big news, really big news, is that Elena is now a Vampire.  Bonnie and the gang tried everything they could to save her from it, even though I personally don't see a downside, but Bonnie failed and I think she destroyed her grandmother ( Jasmine Guy from a Different World) in the process.  But  somehow she was able to make Elena a very stylish daywalker ring so that Elena can go out with her friends during the day.  We had always heard about the Mystic Falls Council, but now they are organized and out in full force to round up all the vampires, werewolves & witches and rid them from town for good.  Problem is, pretty sure there would be nobody left in Mystic Falls then.  If they all leave, who will pay taxes? Who will shop in the stores? The town would go bankrupt.  Council...you need to stop and think...who pays your salaries? Vampires, werewolves and witches do.  Anyway, Klaus was in Tylers body but then he went back to being Klaus which is good because it was confusing.  This Klaus is meaner than ever and has pretty much alienated himself from his sister Rebecca, the only one who actually cared about him.  Never underestimate the power of a women vampire scorned Klaus...

51.4 million people watched the Vice Presidential Debate last week.  This was down by 18 million compared to 2008, when Joe Biden up against Sarah Palin, but comedies always do better than dramas...I know I know I don't do politics just trying to be funny.

I was actually looking forward to Dane Cook's new show on NBC called Next Caller.  What I saw of it was pretty good, it really should have been on cable though.  Dane was playing a  Howard Stern type of radio personality, so on cable he could have had a lot more freedom than on broadcast television, but it doesn't matter now because NBC cancelled the entire show. The 4 episodes that were already shot are apparently so bad, they will not even air.  I wonder if it was really THAT bad.  Couldn't be worse than Made in New Jersey...could it? Guess we'll never find out.  That's actually a GREAT idea...take all the produced pilots, and make them available online...let the public weigh in on them.  Could be a fun thing no?

So annoyed that Donald Trump released his new "All Star" Celebrity Apprentice contestants 30 minutes after I posted Friday's blog.  I didn't think it was big enough news to send out an alert or anything, I mean Michael Jackson was coming back from the dead to compete, so I figured I'd wait til today.  I'm sure you've all read or heard the scoop, but for anyone who missed it, March's installment of Celebrity Apprentice will be an All Star edition, but honestly I think that's sort of misleading since the All-Stars are not former winners, but former losers.  All of these guys with the exception of Bret Michaels were fired in prior seasons.  Trace Atkins is back along with Stephen Baldwin, Gary Busey (Oy), Penn Jillette, Lil Jon, Dennis Rodman, Dee Snider, Marilu Henner, LaToya Jackson, Claudia Jordan, Omarosa (I guess she's out of mourning already) ,Lisa Rinna & Brandi Roderick.  A big hot mess...could be good though.

Okay now we really know that Oprah is desperate for viewers...She's bringing back her "Oprah's Favorite Things" show on a two hour special November 18th where she will give away a ton of great stuff to unsuspecting military spouses but to lure you viewers in there will be a watch and win sweepstakes!  I wonder if Oprah is working harder now than she did before?  I bet retirement isn't what she expected at all...

Caught up on my FBFF (That's future best friend forever for all you newbies) Jimmy Fallon's show this weekend.  There were so many great moments last week, but the one below was the funniest.  Again, I'm not into politics, just Jimmy and good humor.  The Bugle thing and the Mens Warehouse thing were both so    that I  wondered if they were paid for or just organic.  Either way...win win for both of them.  Jimmy...I will buy Bugles for our sleepover...and Peanut Butter!  I promise.
