The Voice
Sometimes too much of a good thing is a problem. That's how I feel about The Voice these days. Two cycles a season is probably not a good idea, and two 2 hour shows a week are also not a good idea. I know it's all about money, especially when the show is considered a hit, but if the numbers start to go down instead of up (which is what happened this season), you need forget about greed and focus on the long term. I wasn't in the mood to watch part one of The Voice finale last night and that's not a good thing at all. Of course I tuned in, because I'm the kind of person that finishes what they start, but I lost interest, after the first hour and started playing Candy Crush Saga (stuck on level 65 for a month already). Did we really need three performances from our finalists? 2 of which were songs they've already performed before. Add to that a performance by the final 16 and of course one from our judges and you have just way too much show for anyone. Some performances were better than others, I didn't really need to see any of Michelle Chamuel so 3 performances from her was just way too much in my opinion. Danielle Bradberry may have the best voice, but she is BORING! So for me the Swon Bros are the winners this season regardless of what happens during tonight's two hour extravaganza. No need to be sad when this season ends since it's back in the Fall. See what I mean? One cycle is enough and leaves viewers missing the show and dying for its return. The ratings are down this season NBC...be smart not greedy. Idol worked for so long because there was only one season and they were the only singing competition show on the air. Now there are tons of um and multiple cycles of each. If you want The Voice to last, make it appointment television.

-CBS released all of the Fall Season Premiere dates yesterday and I loaded them onto my Premieres/Finales list to the right, but here are some of the important ones, well...the ones I think are important:
- 9/18-Survivor 27
- 9/22-Emmy's
- 9/23-How I Met Your Mother, 2 Broke Girls, Mom, Hostages
- 9/24-NCIS
- 9/26-The Big Bang Theory, The Millers, The Crazy Ones 2 1/2 Men
- 9/29-The Amazing Race 23, The Good Wife
-Another show that could be pretty cool is E!'s Inside Track Summer Concert Series which starts this Friday and will give viewers back stage pass access to some of the biggest artists out on tour this Summer like Pitbull, Brad Paisley, The Jonas Brothers, The Backstreet Boys (My personal fave), New Kids on the Block, Matchbox Twenty and The Goo Goo Dolls. I love seeing what's happening backstage. Could be fun right?
-Netflix is at it again, making more deals for more original content. This time it's with Dreamworks Animation. Apparently it's Netflix's biggest deal yet resulting in 300 hours of new programming based on the studio's existing characters and franchises. Smart...really smart.
