Just Checking In




Still on vacation, but missing you guys a bit and figured I'd check in.

Of course the truly devoted have been chatting with me on the Watching Way Too Much Facebook page so thanks to all of you guys for being there with me...I love it!

While I've been a beach bum...
  • TV Land cancelled Happily Divorced...didn't watch it, don't care too much.
  • Hollywood Game Night was RENEWED...love it, and am totally psyched that it'll be back next Summer. Now I gotta figure out a way to get ON Jane Lynch's couch for cocktails and win 25G's.
  • Breaking Bad..episode 2...TOOOOOO JUICY!  How good was the scene with Hank and Skyler in the diner?  INTENSE! 
  • My Mom and my BFF still can't watch Big Brother because Les Moonves and TWC peeps haven't been able to hug it out yet but TWC will give you 20 bucks towards an antenna purchase at Best Buy. How many people will actually take them up on it? 
  • Verizon and CBS are all good for 3 more years, so FiOS people can rest easy, NFL, HIMYM, Hostages and Survivor all...good to go.
  • Speaking of Survivor, Rupert, Tina, Colton, and Gervase as well as a bunch of other former players are coming back for the Blood vs. Water season along with their significant others.  Also of note, Hayden from Big Brother will be on as Kat's significant other. What I didn't realize was that the significant others are NOT on the same teams.  Verrrry interesting. Leave it to Probst and Burnett to turn this thing upside down...brilliant.
  • We knew that NBC was going to present a live version of The Sound of Music this Christmas and I'm totally excited since The Von Trapps are a few of my favorite things. (Get it?)  Did you guys hear who's going to be playing The Captain?  Stephen Moyer aka Bill Compton from True Blood. I bet the Nazi's wouldn't have given him any crap at all if they knew he was a bloodsucker! 
  • I don't cover news, but for anyone who actually wants to check out Elizabeth Hasselback on Fox & Friends set your DVR for 9/16.  
  • Congrats to my favorite morning show...Good Morning America. They just celebrated 52 weeks at #1. What's the over/under on Matt Lauer's job these days?  
  • Only 1.8 million people tuned in to see Oprah interview Lindsay Lohan. I'm proud to say that I was not one of them and I didn't even set my DVR it. I wouldn't believe a word she said and I SO don't care.  
  • Big Brother...super juicy! Elissa is HOH and at this time I have no idea who she's nominating. 
  • Some guy named Dr. Luke, a music producer will fill the 3rd seat on American Idol next season. The other 2 judges, Keith Urban and J LO probably know who this guy is, since their "in the biz". Idol's ratings were still decent last season compared to everything else, but they've dropped significantly vs where they once were so let's see if the Doc is the right prescription for falling ratings. (Witty right? Must be the air here or something.)

-The MTV VMA's are tonight and I'm sure I'll be throwing stuff up on the Watching Way Too Much Facebook page for anyone who's watching. When I heard that Justin Timberlake and NSync will reuniting and performing Bye, Bye, Bye, I was freaking out. CANNOT WAIT for that moment.  Leave it to MTV to bring them together. None of the NSync'ers were invited to Justin's wedding and from what I've read they weren't too happy about that.   I knew Joey Fatone wasn't in NYC for his cousins wedding or a Cronut.  If that wasn't enough for me...My FBFF, Jimmy Fallon will be presenting JT with the MJ Video Vanguard Award...Yes please!  I can't believe I won't be there to see it live, but that's just how much I love LBI...I won't leave the island until they make me hand in my keys...not even for JT or JF.  

Trivia? On Vacation? Heck...here's one...Julie Harris passed away yesterday at the age of 87. I knew her from Knots Landing...give me the name of her character and who's Mom she was on the show.
