Marvels Agents of S.H.I.E.LD.
I need to be completely straight with you guys...I work for Verizon and we currently have a partnership with S.H.I.E.L.D. (You have no idea how much I hate typing those periods) So I had to watch S.H.I.E.L.D. as part of my job. If you've been reading WWTM for a while, or you know me personally, then you know that S.H.I.E.L.D. isn't really my thing at all. It's not that the show isn't good. It is. Especially if you're into the comic book/super hero thing.  S.H.I.E.L.D. has super hero stuff, cool gadgets, a cool plane, a cute guy, a pretty girl, a lot of action and butt kicking, an awesome Corvette and even some humor, but it just isn't my thing. I LOVE Clark Gregg, and want to support him and Verizon's partnership, but I'm not sure I can do it. I have some tough decisions to make in the next few weeks and at this point I don't know if I'll go back to S.H.I.E.L.D. Last night I watched the show with my husband and 12 year old son and they liked it. I wouldn't say they went INSANE about it, but we did sit in the same room and watch the show together as a family and they didn't yell at me for making them miss the Yankee game (but when you're pretty much out of the playoffs and Kuroda gives up a home run to start the game off, you don't mind changing the channel that much). At this point, I haven't given S.H.I.E.L.D. the big Season Pass award. I have a lot of viewing decisions to make in the next few weeks, so I'll have to get back to you as to where I net out with this one. Let me know if you watched and where you're at with it.

The Goldbergs
Of all the pilots I watched during the Upfronts, The Goldbergs was my favorite. It's just SO me. The 80's was my decade and I knew families just like them. Well, maybe not exactly like them, but close. I loved all the 80's references. Simon, Star Wars, feathered hair, the fringe jacket, Sam Goody, rugby shirts, the Trans Am, the jean jumpsuit, the looooong cord that allowed us to take a private call from the bathroom, the floppy discs, the dangerous swing sets and the cassette tape. My guys stayed put after S.H.I.E.L.D. and watched The Goldberg's with me and actually laughed out loud a few times. Of course I ended up singing REO Speedwagon's "I Can't Fight This Feeling Anymore" at the top of my lungs at the end of the episode, it just brought me right back to high school.  I love the entire cast, especially Jeff Garlin and Wendy McClendon Covey. I'm in...Season Pass.

Trophy wife
I hadn't seen the entire pilot of Trophy Wife until last night. It's cute. It's definitely not the next Modern Family which I think it was trying to be, but it's fun and watchable. Malin Akerman plays Bradley Whitford's 3 wife. His first wife, Jackie, the mother of his adopted Chinese son (Modern family similarity alert) is very granola, and sweet. I can't remember where we've seen her before, but you'd recognize her. His second wife, Diane, is played by Marcia Gay Harden. She's a tough, nasty b*tch and the mother of Brad's teenage twins. Malin's the hot trophy wife who's just trying to deal with all of it. The first episode was a bit unrealistic...Brad and Diane couldn't make it to school for a meeting so Malin went instead...in a tank top and red short shorts. Of course, sitcom moment,  Diane ended up making it and we had the awkward parent/step parent teacher conference. There were some laughs and the shows cute enough to keep me watching next week, but again, I have some tough decisions to make as I keep sampling, so I'll get back to you on whether or not this one gets my Season Pass award or not.

Sons of Anarchy
You know it's going to be a bad day, when you wake up in your undies and accidentally shoot the prostitute you were with the night before. Of course Toric didn't seem fazed at all by what he had done. He cleaned himself off, moved the dead chick to the tub and met with the D.A. who was knocking at his door, all in under 10 seconds. Jax and the boys had a quick morning meeting to get the day started. Nobody brought bagels or donuts which was a bit of a bummer, but when the cops are watching every move you make, do you want them to see you with a bag of donuts on your Harley? Guess not.  After his first meeting, Jax and the boys had another meeting to get to with Colette and the king of the docks dude to talk about their business. Things seemed to be going well until a drive by shooting broke things up.  Jax was able to see that it was the Persians, so next meeting...Amir the crazy Persian porno guy.  The dock king slit one of Amir's guys throat and all was good with them. Even Steven, but Amir's brother was missing and he thought Jax did it. Jax asked Tiggs about it since he was the last one to see him alive, and Tiggs lied right to Jax's face. Big mistake Tiggs. Jax still had another meeting to get to with Pope's dude. This one was to discuss some financing for a legit biz Jax had in mind...porn. Sure he tried it once before and it got messy, but that's not going to stop our guy. He needs more perfectly white sneakers and money to pay for them, so Cara Cara is coming back! Yeah...porn to the rescue. While he was with Pope's dude, he slipped him a note that we didn't get to read. I had no idea it was Tiggs death sentence. Totally didn't see that coming at all.  HOLY COW! Next meeting on Jax's calendar was with Clay who told Jax he wasn't going to rat on the club while Toric looked on through the 2 way glass. Does anyone in the justice system think we all don't know about the two way glass...we do. When Jax was done with Clay, one last meeting before meeting Tara and the kids home for dinner...this one was with Colette, but she was busy doing the dock king. Bummer Jax. All those meetings and Jax never had to check a calendar to know who/what/when and where he was going. I guess he doesn't need an app for that like I do.    (I'd never do well in a gang...I need to write EVERYTHING down or I'm done.)Toric had a meeting with two dudes who wouldn't talk, so he decided to use them as human bottle openers which was sick, but par for the course in this show. I don't even know if an oral surgeon will be able to help those dudes out. Naaasty.  If Toric's day wasn't busy enough, he still had to get back to the motel, grab some DNA and plant it in Nero's car. At least I think it was Nero's car...could have been Jemma's, I'm not sure. Finally some light at the end of this tough day. Tara's pregnant and whewwwww, Jax is the dad. I sort of thought there was a possibility that she was raped in prison by Otto, that would have been crazy...but on this show it could have been possible. So now Jax can have some dinner, watch a little football and go to bed and rest up for another day in Charming. It can't get much worse...or can it?

NEWS & INFORMATION:

- FX renewed The Bridge for a 2nd season. I have no idea what happened in this one. I watched maybe 15 minutes of the pilot and was out. Did they solve the crime or will someone else get killed at the EXACT same spot on The Bridge next season? Doesn't matter to me, I won't be watching, but thought some of you Bridge fans would be happy.

-If this coming Sunday wasn't bad enough TV wise, add an Andy Cohen/Teresa & Joe Giudice Watch What Happens Live special to the list of must see TV, because the network execs are trying to kill us all! I don't know how many of you actually have a life, but I wouldn't mind some of these juicy shows on a Friday or a Saturday...I'll admit it...I don't go out and party like a rock star every weekend. I'd love to order in some sushi on a Saturday night and watch some good TV. Please network execs...if you're reading this...there are OTHER days of the week. I promise we will watch it if it's good!

-For all of you guys that bought a Breaking Bad Season Pass on Itunes and were forced to pay twice since season 5 was divided into two seasons.  Apple's got TONS of dough, so check your receipts...they're giving you all a $23.00 credit.  Don't worry about them, they can afford it and it was their mistake. So all's good in Apple world.

-After seven seasons, Lifetime cancelled Army Wives. They had a nice run, I don't feel bad for them at all. Never watched it, but I do know there are a lot of fans of this one.

Wednesday's Trivia Question: Speaking of Army Wives, one of the current stars of the show started out as a model, did a few movies and then starred in her own show called Suddenly Susan. Name the actress. (Remember this week is a them week)
