How I Met Your Mother
I really liked last nights HIMYM...great twist! It was MOM who convinced Barney to fight for Robin. Barney met her in a drug store when he was shopping for diapers during a "challenge". It was a flashback episode, but a good one. 6 months ago, the girls realized that all of Barney's "challenge accepteds" were ones he gave himself, so they challenged him to their challenges and he accepted. Challenge #1: Ask a girl out while talking like a dolphin. Challenge complete. Challenge #2: Ask a girl out while wearing a garbage bag and not using the letter "e". Challenge complete. Challenge #3: Ask a girl out who was waiting for Ryan Gossling as per Robin's direction. Challenge complete. The final one, Challenge #4, was where he ran into MOM. Ask a girl out while buying diapers and Samosas. Challenge INCOMPLETE! He met MOM, went to Robin without the diapers or the Samsosas. Also 6 months ago, Marshall and Ted were at a basketball game (name the team jersey they were wearing for 5 bonus points) and they were still going on and on about Ted still being in love with Robin. ENOUGH of that...I'm sick of it already. We know he ends up with MOM now, the pining has to end. Oh one more thing. Bryan Cranston alert! He called to offer Ted an architecture job in Chicago that of course Ted turned down. Still great to see him even when he isn't Walter White. I miss him.
Hart of Dixie
Interestingly enough of on both shows I watched Monday night there were dolphins mentioned. First Barney had to talk like one and then Zoey watched "A Dolphins Tale". A bit of a stretch that the movie could do in 2 hours what years of therapy could not...want family. Of course she and Joel end up crashing a relatives party and pretending to be magicians and a magicians manager, have a great time at the party, tell the truth and then get further from the family than when they started. Lying is never a good idea kids. Lemon and Wade are doing great with the Rammer Jammer but Lemon got a shot at the fancy town restaurant aptly named "Fancies". It didn't go down because Lemon's bid was too low, but it made Lemon realize that she, like the U2 song, still hasn't found what she's looking for. AnnaBeth's parents were in town and surprised to learn that AB and LaVon Hayes are dating. LaVon went to Alabama and they are an Auburn family so it was a bit of a shock. They started doing the "marry my daughter' thing which pissed AB off mainly because she does want LaVon to propose. By the look on his face when they talked things through, I don't think it's in the cards...yet. George and Lindley hooked up. You knew that would happen. It's still a bad idea, but until we figure out what the writers have in store for Zoey, which I'm betting won't happen til we know if the shows getting renewed or not, we don't know what's happening with George. I love the show, I do, but I wouldn't mind them picking a guy for Zoey and wrapping that part of the story up soon.

News & Information:
-Lesson learned...if you put Rob Lowe in it, people will watch. Killing Kennedy broke all sorts of ratings records Sunday night on Nat Geo. I haven't seen it yet, but 3.4 million viewers showed up to see Rob play Kennedy. Who doesn't love Rob Lowe? My son's reading "The Outsiders" right now and I can't wait to watch the movie with him when he's done. Rob rules. (5 point bonus if you remember Rob's characters name in the movie.)
-For all of you Weather Nerds, you know who you are, your fave channel has a new look and a new slogan, "It's Amazing Out There". It is today...pouring raining as I post this. Not sure it was necessary but if a new look and a new slogan makes The Weather Channel happy I'm for it, I'd before weather predictions that were right more though. Seems like weather is the one job that you can not do well and not get fired and not lose viewers, right?
-MTV and the MLB are hooking up. Interesting partnership between the two. Another one of those things, I'd need to see to see how it works, but I'm intrigued by it. David "BIg Poppy" Ortiz is somehow involved in a weekly series. That could be interesting.
-We haven't even gotten to Season 4 here in the US, but Downton Abbey has already been renewed for Season 5 in the UK. I hope I'm happy about that. I'm pretty sure we all will be. I can't wait for Downton to come back in January. Although this story just reminded me how it all ended last season and now I'm angry again.
-The Jeselnick Offensive on Comedy Central was cancelled after 2 seasons. I've never seen it. Guessing it just wasn't funny enough for a 3rd season though.
-Yeah CW!!! Full season orders for The Originals, Tomorrow People and my current fave...REIGN! For the record...I did call it!
Tuesday's Trivia Question: I'm being told my questions are too hard, so here's an easy one: Prior to Cougartown moving to TBS, what network was it on?
