Game of Thrones
MEGA SPOILER ALERT:
I didn't read the Game of Thrones books, so I truly have no idea what's going on half the time and what's about to happen. Last nights episode truly threw me for a loop.  First we had the whole Bran hiding out with his crew, learning how to use his bizarro powers that we only know occur when his eyes roll to the back of his head. Of course he used them last night resulting in a dead guy, a dead horse and a raven attacking Jon Snow who was RIGHT outside his window. Jon got freaked and booked it outta there leaving his woman behind. Then you had Rob Stark and his Mom apologizing to Lord Waller and the Fray's for not marrying one of his hideous daughters. He explained that he just fell in love with someone else, the wrong someone else. Well the King accepted the apology (we thought), got the nephew to marry the only pretty daughter or grand daughter he had and the next thing  you know...surprise attack on the Starks.  First they stab Rob's wife in her belly a million times killing her and her unborn baby and then Rob gets his throat slit and then his Mom's throat spurts a ton of blood too.  Are you kidding me with this stuff???? Of course Arya got there just as all of this went down. Now she's truly a lost orphan.  I had no idea my fave family wasn't going to make it to the end of the series...let alone the end of the season. I'm devastated. First Mathew on Downton Abbey and now The Starks...You're killing me people...KILLING ME!

Real Housewives of New Jersey
I really wasn't going to watch Real Housewives of NJ this season...I wasn't, but the Yankee game was on rain delay and there wasn't much else on last night at 8pm, so what's a TVholic to do?
The season started off with Hurricane Sandy. First the devastation of Melissa and Teresa's beach houses and all of the scenes of damage down on the Jersey shore, but then... RIGHT back to the big luxurious mansions, Melissa's new Bentley, and all of the sparkly boots and shoes that they were all donating to those in need, because when you have NOTHING, a pair of glitzy platform shoes is really what's going to come in handy. Caroline and Al, moved to Hoboken to "try out" apartment living and NOT to be near her sons, but she's bored and needs a project so she's going to help Joe Gorga and Teresa work out their problems. Milania and Antonia miss each other SO much that they wrote letters to each other,  which lead to the most awkward playdate negotiation and playdate I've ever seen. These kids are SO screwed and you can already see it because Gia's now in on it. She was involved in the entire texting playdate negotiation. So ridiculously sad.  Sadder is seeing how Joe Giudice manipulated and disparaged Melissa and Joe right to Teresa and Gia's face. Teresa's pathetic. Rosie seemed to have gotten a makeover by Bravo or Kim G or someone.  Joe Gorga's hat count for the night...5. Jaqueline would rather get her assh*le bleached, which I've never heard of before, than hear about the Giudice/Gorga drama, Milania wants her nose hair removed, Teresa and Joe think the Kansas song "Dust in the Wind" is called "Dust in the Air", Teresa refered to Gia's period as her "monthly bill" and the biggest issue...both Gorga and Giudice communions seem to be set for the same day.  How does THAT happen?  The scenes for the upcoming season are out of control and as much as I want to NOT watch...I'm in. I know somethings wrong with me...but I'm in.

Princesses: Long Island
Okay, so after admitting that I have to watch Real Housewives of NJ this season...I am NOT watching Princesses: Long Island. I only lasted about 18 minutes. Once Ashley asked that she be carried to her car after her pedicure because she didn't want to be seen in flats, I was done. None of these girls or their families were interesting or compelling, they were annoying and their voices just made my ears bleed. OMG I can't believe people want to be famous THIS bad.  Unbelievable.
Treehouse Masters
Look, things are bad right now, other than pilots, there isn't too much on, but I was sort of looking forward to Treehouse Masters on Animal Planet and ya know what, I loved it. First of all, people are insane. Some people have SO much money and no idea how to spend it so building a treehouse steps away from their real house that has everything their real house has in it except for the trees is of course what they come up with. The guy that runs the show is Pete and this guy just LOVES life, loves treehouses and loves what he does for a living.  This week, In addition to building a 750 square foot treehouse complete with full kitchen, bathroom. bedroom, deck and flat screen TV, Pete went into the Bayou to help save an old tree house that was sinking into the water. All really cool stuff actually.  I'd recommend this one...no really!

Tanked vs Fish Tank Kings
No comparison...at all.  Tanked is SO much better than Fish Tank Kings...so much better. Wayde and Brett and the gang have so much more fun, chemistry, camaraderie AND they just build WAY cooler tanks. This week on Tanked, Wayde and Brett turned a camper into a tank and then they built a predator tank with sharks and alligators. They're way more fun, more creative and more interesting than the Fish Tank Kings.

NEWS & INFORMATION

-For all of you guys watching The Killing on AMC who want a "deeper experience" the show has launched a story sync destination.  During the live telecasts, this dual screen experience will allow viewers to interact with the series and with each other. It's available on computers, tablets and on mobile at TheKillingStorySync.com.

-Starting this Friday, FOX will be rerunning season 1 of The Following at 9pm.  I'm still not going down that road. It was way too scary for me. I'm a total wimp when it comes to this genre, but if you are in need of scary stuff,  enjoy Kevin Bacon, and have nothing to do on Friday nights...you're in luck big time now.

-ABC's cutting down on their casts for the fall.  Sort of bummed about Noah and Mr. Wolfe being cut out of Suburgatory, but really don't care at all about Ashley leaving Revenge or Ruby/Red Riding Hood leaving Once Upon a Time.  She got a new job on CBS's show Intelligence so I don't feel that bad for her.  Neal on Once will def be back though, they made him a regular, so I guess they figure out how to get him back from wherever he went in that portal thing.

-Remember Garth Ancier? He helped get FOX and The WB off the ground?  I thought he retired, but I guess he got bored sitting around and decided that what the world needs is 4 new TV networks...yep we do! These will be different...well, not really...Each one of the 4 nets would air shows from different decades, so a 60's net, a 70's net, an 80's net and a 90's net.  I'm sure if I set my DVR correctly I could sort of put those networks together on my own no?

-Just a reminder that if you NEED to know how Ready for Love ends up, you can watch the finale tomorrow on either NBC.com or Hulu.  I'm sure you're all totally relieved to know there is an end to this one and now you'll get your answers.

-Jean Stapleton, aka, Edith Bunker, passed away on Saturday at the age of 90. RIP Edith.

SURVIVOR

After seeing the scenes last week and all of the promos for the Survivor finale, I figured it was Eric who got sick and was pulled from the game.  Of course, I was right. Extreme hunger and dehydration got Eric the Bee Gee this time instead of extreme stupidity. I would say that's the better way to go out of the game.   Once Eric was gone and they were down to the final 4, Cochran recalculated and conspired.  He basically had a deal with everyone.  I was convinced that he would actually vote out Dawn, but he didn't.  He was true to his alliance and voted out Eddie and the final tribal council began.

As usual, a crazy tribal council for us to all enjoy, except this time, in addition to the stuff we are so used to, we had a first...Brenda pretty much insisted that Dawn take out her retainer and humiliate herself on national TV and SHE DID IT! I have a thing about teeth, so this completely freaked me out. Man Survivor brings out the weird in people. Jeff didn't go after Brenda about it during the finale...maybe because she is VERY pregnant and if she got upset enough her water would break.  Well...if you are a Survivor loyalist then you know not just from my SPOILER HEADLINE, that Cochran was the winner this season.  I chose him to win it day one and I'm proud to say I was right. He played a great game and I'm thrilled that he won it all.

Couple of notes:
  • Who even thinks of a crazy one handed house of cards reward challenge? It must have been sooo  frustrating. This was one of those times I wished they had a clock to know how long it took to complete the challenge. Did you guys catch the bleeped curse words? I'm pretty sure I made out Dawn using my fave, motherf*cker ,when her tower crumbled.
  • So glad they did a compilation of Dawn's breakdowns.  She kept claiming how strong she was, but we were all witness to her losing it on a weekly basis. I'm thinking the 11 breakdowns shown last night couldn't possibly be all of them.
  • Isn't it nuts during the Right of Passage section of the show how you can barely remember some of the tribe members who played the game? Who remembered Allie, Hope, or Laura? NOT ME!!!
  • I wonder if the people who created the giant monkey/Buddha were sad to see it burn.
  • As a dog lover, I honestly thought Eddie's idea of a bar that you can bring your dog to was brilliant. I'm not even a bar person, but if there was one near my house that I could bring my dog too, I'd probably go!
  • What was up with the pixelling of Eddie's nether region? Was his hair growing up and out? Did you guys notice that?
  • Dawn, Sheri and Cochran cleaned up better than any 3 contestants who played before. I mean MAN did Cochran look amazing at the finale or what?
  • While I was rooting for Cochran big time, he really did come across pretty cocky at a few points during the finale. How about how he dissed Harvard Law school for not prepping him to address a jury?
  • I loved when Phillip rescinded Sheri's "Stealth R Us" membership card!
  • Is Malcolm the new Fabio? I think so...what is with that mane of hair? Honestly, I think he'd be way hotter with it cut shorter.
  • Loved seeing Boston Rob at the finale. The "Boston Rob Rulebook" is real and if anyone IS interested, here's the link. http://www.bostonrobmariano.com/rulebook/
  • I'm thinking the Blood vs. Water season is family members on one team and then friends on another team? Blood is thicker than water type deal?
  • Malcolm was on The Bold and the Beautiful?
  • Rudy is 85 and he looked exactly the same as when he played the game 13 years ago. He didn't change at all.
  • Malcolm won the Sprint Player of the Season award. 100K should get him some acting lessons.
  • Great season...Thanks Probst you are still the best at what you do!
Married to Jonas
The Jo Bro's started their tour in South America where there were tons of screaming, crazy, chanting fans everywhere.  I was glad that Kevin and Dani worked out their issues over the past week.  Dani stayed in NY to finish her Cosmo article and planned on showing up on tour a few weeks later. No biggy at all right? Well...it is when weather gets in the way.  Freezing rain to be exact.  While on tour I learned that according to Nick Jonas, only married guys appreciate good hangers.  I find that hard to believe. No idea why the Jo Bro concert in Chile started at 1AM but it did and the press and paparazzi were all over the guys even in the middle of the night. I guess everyone in Chile is used to going to concerts and dinner in the middle of the night. Kevin and the crew all went to dinner after the show which must have been 330AM and the restaurant was jammed packed.  I'd never survive in Chile.

Tanked
I'm thrilled for Brett and Wayde and all the folks at Tanked with the success of the show. You know they're successful when Dunkin Donuts pretty much takes over an entire episode. The guys built a great tank for a Dunkin Donuts in Florida. It was a DD coffee cup with a donut going into it and a hand on top...pretty crazy. They also made a tank out of a giant beer fermenter for a place in San Diego called Pizza Port. All this while moving into a giant 30,000 foot new space. That's double the size they had before. I'm sure it was stressful, but the ATM guys made it look like moving all their crap from one place to another was the easiest thing in the world.  I'm starting to feel bad for Wayde. Everyone always makes fun of his weight and his love of food (mostly junk food, which is probably linked to the weight issue but that's a whole different blog). When they were going for their meeting with Dunkin Donuts, Brett said that taking Wayde to DD was like taking a monkey to a banana farm.  Sure I laughed, but I also felt bad for Wayde at the same time. Stop making fun of Wayde guys!

Smash
Only one more episode left before Smash is gone and forgotten. What a bummer that they didn't figure out how to fix it until after everyone tuned out.  It's actually pretty good now. Debra Messing lost weight and got her hair done, there's another, more modern show competing with the traditional Broadway touristy Bombshell, and there's even some real drama with Kyle dying (don't get me wrong, I'm still not happy about it) and Ivy being preggers.  At least it will go out on a good note and I'm sure that we'll be seeing a lot of the cast elsewhere soon.

NEWS & INFORMATION

-Okay here's where we are at this point: with network cancellations and renewals:
FOX renewed Hells Kitchen and Masterchef
TNT cancelled Southland and Monday Mornings
NBC cancelled Go On, Rock Center, The New Normal & Smash
CBS cancelled CSI NY, Golden Boy, Vegas and one of my faves...Rules of Engagement
USA cancelled Burn Notice
SYFY renewed Defiance
ABC cancelled Happy Endings , Malibu Country, Body of Proof, Red Widow, How to Live with Your Parents and Family Tools
ABC renewed Nashville, Castle, Grey's Anatomy, Modern Family, Castle, Suburgatory, The Neighbors, Once Upon a Time, Revenge, Scandal, The Middle
NBC renewed Community (Shocked actually) and Celebrity Apprentice

-I'm pretty sure we all assumed that Seth Meyers would get the Fallon slot. I know I did. Well, it's now official and Lorne Michaels will of course be producing it. With Lorne producing Fallon, Meyers and SNL, perhaps he should just live in 30 Rock if he doesn't secretly live there already. In Googling Lorne...did you know his real last name was Lipowitz? I didn't.

-YouTube launched 30 PAID channels last Thursday that allows content partners to charge a fee for access.  Fees vary and start at .99 a month. The channels can be accessed on all devices and platforms.

-In case anyone was worried, the NYC housewife crisis is over. They all signed their contracts, got a little bit more dough and an increase in budget for hair and makeup...ahhh I bet your soooo relieved. Me...I stopped watching NYC, I would have preferred a clean slate...maybe Real Housewives of  Westchester or Queens or something.  Just a thought for next season Andy Cohen!

-This week ABC will update its iphone and ipad app with a "live" button.  Users in the NY and Philadelphia area will be able to live stream all the programming from ABC's local stations.  ABC is the first major broadcaster to turn on this type of technology.  The apps will be live and featured during ABC's upfront on Tuesday. Take that Aereo!  Good for you ABC! I'm in!

-Barbara Walters will retire at the end of next Summer.  Nothing to say here...I'm good.

Game of Thrones...The Climb...it's just that easy to climb a 700 foot ice wall...throw on some crampons and go!

The answer to Friday's Trivia Question: MacKenzie, Brackman,  was the law firm on LA Law
The theme of the week was legal shows/law firms. A few people figured out the theme on their own earlier in the week, so they received 10 points. All of you that figured it out on Friday got 5 points.

Nurse Jackie
Now we're getting back to basics...Jackie and the crew were helping patients, losing patients, hiding everything from the new ER chief and covering for Gloria and her ability to remember everything. Not sure why these guys aren't thinking of sending her to neuro from some tests, but okay, I'm going with it. Cute policeman's hanging out at the hospital, Eddie and Jackie have agreed to be "friends" but I definitely think Eddie's keeping hope alive. He's trying the friend thing, showing up to tutor Fiona and eat baked ziti, but you know he's just waiting for the opportunity to bag the friendship and become the boyfriend. I'm hating that new doctor and hope that Coop uses her up and spits her out. I like the show when Jackie's on her A game a the hospital and honestly, I don't miss the pill popping.

Once Upon a Time
Things are getting wacky in Storybrooke...well, wackier than usual. Tamara and Greg had Regina rigged up to an electroshock thing that sucked the magic out of her until she finally cracked and told Greg that she killed his Dad and buried him out in the woods. Of course who knows if the bones he found (a little to easily if you ask me) were really his Dad's.  Gold had Snow linked to Regina using a magical tear concoction. One of Regina's and one of Snows. The spell worked and Snow found Regina, but Greg and Tamara still have the black diamond trigger thing that holds Storybrooke's future.  It seems that Greg and Tamara aren't working alone. There's some home office (maybe the Men In Black?) who want to rid the world of magic. These guys supposedly provide them with their "orders". See what I mean about the wackiness? Could this be a shark jumping turn of events? Neil found out about Tamara right  before she shot him and used a magic bean to open a portal. So much for ridding the world of magic.  After a very untouching, unbelievable proclamation of love, Neil said goodbye and fell into the portal leaving Emma, Henry and Gold in Storybrooke. That was a bummer. I liked that guy. In a flashback, we found out that the last time Neil fell through a portal he ended up in London, at The Darling's of the Peter Pan story.  He tried to save them from a creepy ghost guy who takes kids to Neverland, by having him taken instead of one of the Darling boys, he used a match to escape, fell into the ocean and was picked up by Captain Hook. None of this makes any sense anymore. I'm really thinking the sharp has jumped.

Game of Thrones
This weeks episode of Game of Thrones was called "The Climb". The climbers we cared about, Jon Snow and Ygritte threw on some crampons, and headed on up this 700 foot ice mountain. No prep, just crampons and get going. No hats were worn and it really seemed pretty cold. You'd think they'd wear hats.  Of course there were a few snafu's along the way, but, they made it to the top and made out.  Prior to the climb, Ygritte made Jon Snow promise to be loyal to her and to continue doing that "thing with his tonnnngue". In addition to the big climb, Tyrion delivered the bad news to Sansa Stark, Theon's still being tortured on the giant X Factor X, the red priestess took Arya's buddy. Rob Stark had a meeting with Lord Fray's guys who wanted a wedding, Jamie's heading back to Kings Landing but he had to leave Brienne behind in a horrific pink dress that I'm sure made her a bit uncomfortable. Best scene of the night: Tywin and Lady O "negotiating"  the marriages between their kids. Sure Loras is gay, but incest is so unnatural. Net/net. Tywin had to go with some blackmailing to get what he wanted and while Lady O put up a good fight...looks like the wedding's are on. We didn't get to see Tyrion tell Sansa, but we did see her tears after he left This chick just can't catch a break.

I wasn't sure who was more excited about Fashion Week, Kevin or Dani or maybe it was Dani's sister Dina who accidentally spilled coffee on Dani's dress and tried to blame the dog. Dani's bro, Mikey is apparently a singer. He performed at The Bowery in an odd gray suit with a bright red bow tie. I didn't love the look and neither did Joe Jonas apparently because he took Mikey shopping and had him try on some skinny jeans that he couldn't get out of. I don't like a grown man being called Mikey. The only acceptable Mikey in my mind is the "Mikey likes it Mikey" (name the reference for 5 points!) Anyway, Dani got the opportunity to do a Cosmo story, but of course it would mean she can't go to South America with Kevin.  I didn't understand that one. Couldn't she just go down later? Kevin's Mom was in town and I'm not sure why Dani always asks her advice on everything but she does. Her advice this time...hats! Wear a hat that makes you feel strong.  Really? Hats can make you feel strong? Kevin obviously felt strong...he donned quite a hat and didn't seem to care at all that he looked bizarre. I love Kevin.
Tanked
This week on Tanked, I actually got a little stressed! The ATM guys had 2 tanks to deliver. One was pretty cool, it was for a restaurant in Raleigh NC called Cowfish which is a place that serves sushi and burgers (perfect for the Carruba's actually). What I didn't know was that there are actually these cool looking fish actually called Cowfish. 18 of them went right into the tank.  That wasn't the tank that stressed me out though, it was the one for Dwayne Wade's sneaker release party.  It had to be set up and taken down all in the same night. Unfortunately, the truck got held up in New Mexico. Not really sure what "held up" meant, and it was never clearly explained, but it was over 4 hours late, so the gang only had an hour and a half to set up the tank once it arrived.  Of course its TV and everything worked out fine, but it was a bit suspenseful.

Maron
I'm starting to thing that IFC stands for I'm Freaking Clueless because every time I give a show a try on that network, I don't get it. The critics and some of you love Portlandia...I don't get it.  The critics have been talking about this new one Maron which premiered on Friday night and again...I don't get it.  I heard Mark Maron on Howard Stern, I liked him and wanted to like his show. I didn't not like it, but I didn't like it either. I didn't get it.  Sort Seinfeld, sort of Curb Your Enthusiasm, but not funny.

Smash
I know nobody's still watching Smash but me but...WTF! Kyle's s dead? Way too tragic of an ending. Sure they gave me Karen and Derek even if it was only for a second, and they threw in one of my favorite Billy Joel songs ever, "Vienna", but killing Kyle! Not cool at all.

NEWS & INFORMATION

-My favorite skit from this weeks SNL...Game of Thrones Game with a special cameo. Check it out http://www.hulu.com/watch/486599?playlist_id=1707

-Bethenny Frankel's syndicated show finally has a launch date: 9/9/13. It's going to be airing in daytime here in NYC. I checked it out last Summer when it tested here and I was a huge Bethenny fan at the time. I really didn't like the show at all. I'm not surprised that it got the green light though. Ellen's backing it and there's not much out there these days. So, we'll see how Bethenny does. I do wish her luck, but I won't be watching.

-Week 1 of All My Children and One Life to Live's new online life was pretty impressive. Of course no real download numbers released but we all love a good ranking, so here's the impressive stats:

Nurse Jackie
Now I know how it feels when someone you care about is an addict. You're always waiting for the next shoe to drop, you doubt everything, and while you're rooting for them, you just assume failure. That's how I felt during most of last nights Nurse Jackie. The episode started off with Jackie and Kevin finalizing their divorce and things seemed actually cool between them. Then BOOM car accident. Of course Kevin thought the worst, I get it. Then I was a wreck because I thought they'd have to put Jackie on pain meds. They didn't, but that new nasty doctor, not knowing Jackie's history, gave her a prescription for them. So, when Jackie went into the drug store I thought the worst. Then yeah! she called the cute cop instead. Then she was late to get her kids and I thought, Kevin's going to freak out. She wasn't late. The cop hooked her up with a ride in the police car. We are rooting for Jackie, we are. It's stressful though right? Also, more hints of Gloria's impending brain tumor...she went to Eddie, wasn't sure why, then realized it was piping she needed and she was in the wrong place. It's coming. You know it is. Still...it was REALLY nice to Jackie on a date, and even nicer when she told the guy the truth about herself. He seems like a good guy. Like I said...I'm rooting for Jackie. I want her to come through all this an even better rock star than she already is.

Game of Thrones
I thought my brain was alert enough and ready to take on Game of Thrones live last night, but when you finally give me a gorgeous naked Jon Snow losing his virginity to the wilding chick, it could have thrown things off and made concentration even more difficult. I've been waiting 2 1/2 seasons for that butt shot! It was worth it, but I'm apologizing in advance if I didn't get everything else that happened in the hour straight. Jamie Lannister and Brienne showed up at Lord Bolton's place in quite a state. Jamie was covered in mud and dirt with his hand hanging around his neck. Lord Bolton filled him in on everything that happened at Kings Landing and had his "doctor" take a look at him. The doc wanted to give him "milk of the poppy" for the pain he was about to inflict on, but he turned it down and screamed his head off during the "surgery" instead.  Back in Kings Landing, Lady Tyrell, my new fave, and Tyrion had a "chat" about how expensive the big wedding was going to be. Rob Stark beheaded someone, Arya's sort of being held hostage. Stanis got home and told his wife the truth about him and the Red one in front of all of her jarred dead sons embryos. Stanis hung out with his daughter, with the 1/2 burned face who should probably audition for Westeros Idol next time they're in that neck of the woods. Jamie and Brienne took a bath together and we got to see Jamie's butt. Then he confessed a bunch of important stuff to Brienne, but I have to rewatch because his sock puppet hand sticking out of the water was very distracting.  I was waiting for it to start talking or something. I think that Jamie died. Can someone confirm?   I waited until the last 9 minutes for some Khaleesi scenes which are always enjoyable. Then back in Kings Landing Daddy Lannister had some bad news for his kids. Tyrion has to marry Sansa Stark and while he wasn't thrilled at all by that news, I felt he sort of did get the last laugh when pops told his sister that she's got to marry the gay Loris Tyrell. Tyrion and Cersai should get together and kill their Dad, he's really a d*ck!

Once Upon a Time
So back in old Fairytale land, Regina asked Rumple to disguise her so she could go find Snow White. Disguise? Really? With all of his magic that was the best he could do? Even more ridiculous was that nobody recognized her.  Anyway, Snow had yet another shot to rid all worlds of Regina and she didn't take it. Idiot. But then again if she had, there'd be no show. So the evil Regina lives on to torture everyone.  In Storybrooke, Regina was in her Gortons Fisherman garb when she heard about the beanstalk farm and the plans for everyone, but her, to go back to Fairytale Land. Not sure why she felt the need to tell Henry about her own plans to take him and go back and destroy everyone and everything, but she's evil so it's a brain I don't identify with. Regina erased Henry's mind of her plans and then hooked up with Hook to go down under and get her secret weapon that would help pull of her big plans. What Regina didn't plan on was that Hook would survive the crazy creature down below, hook up with Tamara and Greg and screw her over. Along with Snow's eyebrows, a few things bugged me about last nights episode. First, Rumple's comment to Regina about getting her hair highlighted and then Hook's over abundance of chest hair.  No way that Fairytale Land has a good colorist and no way that hair was real.

Spoiled Rotten Pets
You guys need to watch Spoiled Rotten Pets, at least once.  These pet owners are out of their minds. Sure, I'm totally biased. I love Beth and Howard Stern, so I'll watch every week.  But these people are just insane! The things they do for their pets are truly freakish.  This week, there was a woman with 17 turtles & tortoises, a family with 100+ bearded dragons, a woman who threw a birthday party for Vinnie one of her 10 pet rats, and a woman with 6 afghans who drives 2 hours to take doggie dance classes. The craziest pet owners of the week were the ones who spent way too much money on a Bark Mitzvah for their dog Sophie. Complete with gown, a human and DOG rabbi, the hora, party favors and more. Through it all, Beth really never lets on that she thinks these people are out of their minds, but she must.  I mean a rat birthday party?

Tanked
I thought this weeks episode was perfect in every way. 2 great tanks. One was an interactive sports tank for Mark Mastrov, the founder of 24 Hour Fitness. I'm betting he spent a ton on the tank that ATM built. He really should have put some of that money towards a new toupe, because the one he was sporting just wasn't working for him.  The other tank was a lighthouse replica for a casino in Alabama. Both were tough builds, tough deliveries and tough installs. Not a lot of time for any hokieness.  I like when the show is all about the tanks, how they're built, the fish and even just the install. It's all usually really complex which makes for an interesting and compelling episode. This was one of those weeks. Thumbs up!

White House Correspondence Dinner
The night started out with a House of Cards spoof called House of Nerds. If you knew your politics (I didn't) and watched House of Cards (I did), you probably enjoyed it. Here's the video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dCzI521sgqE
As for the rest of the night, there were what seemed like thousands of people invited to this event. Net/net, Obama killed and Conan didn't.

Amazon Originals
Not sure if you guys are aware of this, but Amazon is also getting into the content biz. What's cool about what they're doing though is, their current "pilots" are all currently available on their site. You can watch them all for free and vote on them. I'm guessing the 1 or 2 with the most votes will go to series. Of course I watched them all.  Production wise they were all really high quality. Premise wise...not that many appealed to me. Here's a my recap:
Alpha House-I voted for this one. John Goodman and Mark Consuelos are Senators who live together with 2 other Senators in DC. Mark Consuelos is hot.
Betas-About a bunch of guys trying to get funding for a start up. Didn't love it
Browsers-A musical about a bunch of people that work at an online magazine. Didn't love it
Dark Minions-Syfy thing...not for me didn't even get passed 5 minute mark
Onion News-News/Oniony...not my thing
Supernatural-Animated...I don't do animated
Those Who Can't-About 3 odd teachers in a high school. I liked this one
Zombieland-I voted for this one. Just like the movie. I'm not a big zombie person, but I liked this one a lot.

NEWS & INFORMATION

-Yeah for me and for many of you guys too!  Some great TV news was released on Friday night! First, NBC announced renewals for Parenthood, Revolution, Chicago Fire, Law & Order SVU and Grimm. (Yeahhhh Parenthood!) Then, CW announced renewals for Hart of Dixie and Beauty and the Beast and greenlit The Originals.  (Yeah Hart of Dixie!!!) To round out the night, CBS announced that Two and a Half Men will be back for its 11th season. Angus Young will be back on a limited basis.

-Saturday Night LIve will close out its 38th season with 3 live shows in May.  5/4's host  is Zach Galifianakis, 5/11's will be Kristen Wiig and the final show of the season on 5/18 will have one of my faves...Ben Affleck as host. Kanye West is the musical guest that night. That's a bummer, not a fan of Kanye's.

-182.5 million Americans watched 39.3 billion online content videos in March 2013. The top five based on unique viewers were:
  •  Google Sites (153.9 million)
  • Facebook (63.8 million)
