 THE REAL HOUSEWIVES OF NJ-Bravo

-Today is Apple day...with all of the anticipation, speculation and rumor, I wish Apple
had decided to stream the announcements today...betting the broadcast would do
better numbers than NEW GIRL or MODERN FAMILY!  The world just can't wait to hear
what Apple will proclaim to be the newest, coolest must have device anywhere on the
planet...okay...I admit it...I am excited too...

-Last night, aside from the YANKEE game (they lost...again! It is do or die tonight
people) I caught up on all of my REAL HOUSEWIVES on both coasts...NJ and BEVERLY
HILLS.  On NJ, Melissa Gorga finally performed "On Display" in a very revealing Rock-n-
Rolly outfit and the crowd went crazy...maybe it was the bizarre BLK black water they
were drinking, but everyone was pretty impressed with Melissa's performance...even
Joe Giudice who, in my opinion, looked Melissa over a bit too long and hugged her a
bit to close...did you all notice that?  On the west coast, some whacko friend of the
housewives wore a pair of $25,000 sunglasses and had to tell everyone how much they
cost.  I loved that all of these super wealthy people were appalled that anyone would
spend that kind of money on sunglasses or if they did...that they talked about it, but
they had no issue at all with hiring lifeguards to supervise their kids at a backyard BBQ
with a slip and slide.  On HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER, Kal Penn began his guest
appearance as Robin's court appointed therapist which was funny as he kept getting
frustrated at how long it takes her to tell as story with all of the flashbacks that we are
so used to being a part of the show...clever I must say.  I have to come clean...I did
watch 2 1/2 MEN again this week...no Ashton nudity however, which was a bit of a
letdown.  They did leave his laptop with all of the logos of the companies he is part
owner of in the show, so my guess is he didn't get in THAT much trouble for it.  I
forgot to watch HART OF DIXIE, so I will need to catch up on that one at some point
as I did really like the pilot.

-PBS's new Ken Burns three-part documentary "PROHIBITION" got drunk (get it) to the
tune of  3.9 million viewers for its initial telecast Sunday night.  Part 1, "A Nation of
Drunkards" averaged a 2.6 household rating in the overnight metered markets ratings.
'Prohibition' came in well ahead of last year's 'The Tenth Inning' sequel to Burns'
'Baseball' documentary which scored a 1.2 household rating, but was well behind the
debuts of 'The National Parks: America's Best Idea' two years ago (3.6) and the debut
of 2007's "The War" (5.0).  I didn't watch this one, there isn't much on PBS that pulls
me in normally, but hey...the history of alcohol and drinking in this country...maybe I
should pour myself a cocktail and check this one out!

-Monday morning on Fox News Channel's FOX & FRIENDS, Hank Williams, Jr. compared
President Obama to Adolph Hitler. ESPN felt some pressure about the singer who is
most-famous for his "Are You Ready for Some Football?" openings on Monday Night
Football. ESPN pulled the open from last night's telecast issuing the following
statement:
“While Hank Williams, Jr. is not an ESPN employee, we recognize that he is closely
linked to our company through the open to Monday Night Football.  We are extremely
disappointed with his comments, and as a result we have decided to pull the open from
tonight’s telecast.”  The question is...will "Are You Ready for Some Football?" be back
next week?  I know 2 people who will miss answering that question if it isn't.  I am
betting it's back next week...what do you think?

- In an effort to reach a combined audience of 100 million viewers per month, Yahoo!
and ABC News announced yesterday that ABC News will become the primary news
content provider for Yahoo!. As part of the agreement, the editorial teams from ABC
News and Yahoo! News will work together to create original web series and other
branded premium news content. Furthermore, the two companies will look into offering
advertising solutions. The alliance begins with the debut of GoodMorningAmerica.com,
an online hub of information for fans of the program, and three new online video
series, including Newsmakers, an interview series that also debuted yesterday with
Good Morning America host George Stephanopoulos' interview of President Barack
Obama, which was streamed live on Yahoo.com and ABCNews.com. So, those guys
want 100 million viewers per month and this is what they decide to do?  All I want is
200 readers by the end of 2011...I better think of something bigger than a gift card
giveaway!

-Forgot to mention yesterday that while I am not watching THE AMAZING RACE this
season, but I had been keeping tabs on former SURVIVOR winners, Ethan and Jenna to
make sure they were okay, but in this week's surprise double elimination...Ethan and
Jenna were unfortunately eliminated from the race. Oh well, you can't win every reality
game show, can you?

-Tuesday's Trivia Question: Remember it is still wacky neighbor/best friend week...Who
was the Keaton's wacky neighbor who had a thing for Mallory?

-Speaking of friends...don't forget...invite your friends to read WWTM!  You just might
win a prize!
