-I am really surprised at how GOOD Dana Carvey was as Kelly’s Co-Host on yesterday’s LIVE WITH KELLY.  He was excellent!  Funny, comfortable, relaxed and had some great stories and of course amazing impressions.  There was only one problem…the close up shot…Dana was awesome in every way…but when the camera came in close, you really could see his age, especially his neck.  Big difference from Mario Lopez the day before, or even the new poster child for perfect aging…Rob Lowe (who I forgot to mention yesterday as one of the best co-hosts so far…sorry Rob).  I am torn on this one…have to admit it.

-Jimmy Fallon (you know…the guy I want to come sleepover my house) was a guest in the Clubhouse with Andy Cohen on WATCH WHAT HAPPENS LIVE.  I hadn’t seen him do his T-Bowie impression/mashup…in case you haven’t either, here it is:

-Paul Rudd was the guest star on PARKS & REC last night.  As always, Paul did not disappoint.  His purely stupid role as Bobby Newport, Leslie Knopes opponent for City Council was hilarious.  Not sure if you guys watched, but Leslie ran her political ad in the show with a list of things she was “for”.  You had to freeze your DVR to read the VERY long list.  I am guessing you guys didn’t do this, but of course you know that I did…so here are a few of them that I caught:  Fewer libraries, one policeman for every 5 citizens, one park ranger for every 10,000 raccoons, plows for charity, formally recognize South Korea, Start talking to Cuba, 4 way stops at every intersection, Get Europe out of debt, unionize ice cream men, and no turtles for pets…as always amazing writing…perfect episode.

-How juicy was REVENGE last night?  SPOILER ALERTS: Daniel proposed to Emily/Amanda and she said yes, but she intended to break it off and then didn’t.  I honestly am not sure how she feels about him, I don’t care though…he is so cute, as long as they figure out a way to keep him around, I am happy.  Victoria had to come clean and admit that Conrad isn’t Charlotte’s Dad (remember people, Amanda’s dad is apparently also Charlotte’s dad) but then she is so brilliantly evil, she tells Daniel that David Clarke raped her and of course he tells Emily/Amanda.  Can this show maintain it’s juicyness?  I hope so!

-THE VAMPIRE DIARIES also continues to keep the juicyness going!  Bonnie needs her Mom to open the coffins so she goes on a mission to find her but of course she has no power now, but she thinks she can get them back.  Tyler finds Carolines dad to help him figure out how to break the sire bond.  I did not understand the rationale as to how it all needed be done and why, but any time Tyler changes into a werewolf, it’s fun and scary to watch, so if it take him doing it over and over…I’m good with that.  Dr. Fell is NOT the serial killer I thought she was…apparently she is a doctor that gives people vampire blood so they don’t die…hope she is going to start practicing in Tenafly NJ soon!  Oh and if all that wasn’t juicy enough…SPOILER ALERT: Elijah is BACK!

-A lot of guest appearances on 30 ROCK last night…James Marsden, Denise Richards and Kelsey Grammer.  I am not sure I understood Kelsey’s role in the show and I also felt like there was a lot of witty banter that was way over my head this week and apparently I am also not up on my super models…I had to look up who Adriana Lima was…did you guys know who she is?

-Hey WHITNEY writers…you are lucky my Mom doesn’t watch the show, doesn’t use a DVR and is out of the country…what were you thinking revealing the benefits and existence of Slydial?  The beauty of it is nobody talks about it…we use it when necessary…don’t blow it guys!  2 other observations…what’s up with Whitney’s gun necklace?  Also, the doctor taking Mark and Roxanne’s blood is also the waitress on RULES OF ENGAGEMENT…good for her ,getting a little extra work on the side.

-My husband showed my son and I the newest Volkswagen Star Wars commercial that will be unveiled on Superbowl Sunday…but you can see it here…it’s AMAZING…check it out:

-While still the top program of the night (honestly other than football, what program does these kind of demo numbers) AMERICAN IDOL saw a 17% decrease in total viewers vs. the season 10 premiere last year and a 28% decrease vs. season 9. Still…it delivered 21.6 million viewers…nothing to sneeze at really. Even though it was the biggest drop ever between seasons. For adults 1849 the show dominated with a 7.4 but still down vs. last year’s 9.7

-Not sure who is watching HART OF DIXIE on the CW.  I really do like the show, it’s cute and fun and if you used to watch the O.C.  Summer aka Rachel Bilson is the star of the show.  Whether you watch it or not, I think you’ll appreciate this video…just warning you…don’t let your kids see this one. (Thanks Barbra)

- U.S. online ad spending will grow 23.3%, reaching $39.5 billion, in 2012. Double-digit growth is expected to continue through 2014, when it is expected that U.S. online ad spending will hit $52.8 billion.  2012 will be the first year where online ad spending will surpass dollars spent on print magazines and newspapers.  TV, on the other hand, will be safe from the growth in online ad spending

-Cool Chart of the day…
-WWTM Weekend Movie Rental Suggestion: In honor of Denise Richards’ guest appearance on 30 ROCK…I am picking the movie WILD THINGS.  This is the one where she makes out with Neve Campbell from PARTY OF FIVE

-Friday’s Trivia Question: On Grey’s Anatomy, (back when I actually watched it) who was the doctor that was in love with Dr. Yang but left the show because of some controversial comments about his co-star? I am looking for his name on the show…bonus if you know the actors name too.

GO GIANTS!
