-X FACTOR last night…I am telling you, this competition is getting tough, tonight two people are being sent home. I still think Lakoda Rayne should be one of them and then hate to say it but the other one should be Drew. At first I thought she could take the whole thing, now I am over her. Every song sounds the same…like Sarah Mclachlan. Rachel Crow was great last night, but I think she was wearing curtains from a hotel I once stayed at. Melanie Amaro was awesome, but then when the song was over, she seemed to have had this moment of clarity and she couldn’t hold back the fact that SPOILER ALERT she actually speaks with a Jamaican accent, didn’t see that one coming. Marcus Canty touched us all with his tribute to his Mom and Astro came out and apologized for his immature behavior last week, his apology had a bit of an attitude but…he is still a young kid, so we can let it go I guess. I still think America will hold it against him. Leroy Bell was decent, and so was Chris Rene, but in my opinion the best performance of the night was Josh Krajcik…brilliant version of the Rolling Stones “Wild Horses”…absolutely awesome…my fave of the night by far and probably the first one I will actually download. I will add that version to the original and the one done by Adam Levine and Alicia Keys which is also amazing.
-Adam was an idiot and had to tell Kristina about the kiss at work on PARENTHOOD last night. Why did you tell her Adam? We all know you love your wife, and it will never happen again, but you needed to be honest to clear your own guilty conscience and then what did you do…you lied when Kristina asked you if you fired her. Please make up with Kristina soon…I can’t take you guys not being on the same side…and it looks like from the scenes next week that things only get worse…PARENTHOOD writers, please fix this asap!!! Also, I knew that there was going to be an issue with Julia and Joel adopting that baby…come on…that was a no brainer. How upset were we all for Amber when she had to go to her grandmother for money? You could feel her embarrassment couldn’t you? And if poor Jabar (ridiculous name btw) wasn’t confused enough, after his parents tell him they will NEVER be together again, and then they go to bed together. Now we know where it all comes from Jabar.
-I season passed LIVE! WITH KELLY and had to check it out again yesterday…Jerry seemed much better and less irritated by the morning host chat, Kelly wore another pair of crazy shoes, and imitated Regis a couple of times, and all seemed right in the world of LIVE. I only watch the first host chat section and then unless it’s a good guest, I delete the rest of the show. Yesterday was Kim Cattrall who I wasn’t really interested in and Jamie Oliver the chef who normally I like, but was way too tired at that point to care about what he was cooking so I went to bed.
-SPOILER ALERT: Congrats to JR Martinez for winning DANCING WITH THE STARS and that big cheesy disco ball trophy. What will I do with the 5 minutes a week I just got back?
-GRIMM, the OTHER show with a fairytale theme got an additional order for the back 9 episodes, which is a good sign for them. GRIMM is too grimm and scary for me, so I don’t watch it at all…
-I have been a Tivo owner since the very first one arrived back in 1999, this device was invented for a person like me and my husband bought it for me back then. (because I have the BEST husband in the world) Tivo has had a rocky road as a company, but I have always been a fan, and currently am the owner of 7 boxes (I know, I know…) so it was a pleasant surprise to see that for the first time in a LONG time, they are seeing an increase in subscribers with an addition of 117,000 new users in the month of October. For anyone out there who doesn’t own a DVR (yes, supposedly there are people who don’t) Tivo is by far the best one, I have experienced almost all of them and Tivo is the best…anyway, I am happy for you guys at Tivo, maybe things are finally turning around.
-Speaking of Tivo’s, set yours for Friday night at 10pm on VH1 for the 2nd part of the best concert I have ever watched (but unfortunately didn’t attend)…the ROCK N ROLL HALL OF FAME ANNIVERSARY concert. No idea if part 2 will be as insane as part 1, but betting it will be pretty good no matter what. If you have never seen the first part, you should download it…it’s truly one of the BEST concerts ever.
-WWTM Poll Question: If someone kissed you at work and it meant NOTHING…would you tell your wife/husband/significant other??? I promise to keep anonymity, but if I get enough responses, I will reveal the total number of yes’s and no’s.
-Thursday’s Trivia Question: Everytime I watch Steve Jones and his pinky ring on X FACTOR I can’t help but think of the first year of AMERICAN IDOL (the only one I watched) with Ryan Seacrest and his co-host who got fired/quit whatever…What was his name?
-Since this will be my last post before the Thanksgiving holiday, I want to wish you all a Happy Thanksgiving. This year, I finally decided to let the writer inside me out and hoped that someone would what I had to say. I am incredibly thankful to have 254 of you out there as of today. I am loving every second and just wanted to say…THANK YOU for reading! HAPPY THANKSGIVING
