-Last night was truly one of my favorite nights of the year as it is the night I get to skate in Rockefeller Center under the world’s most famous Christmas Tree. I see all my friends in the business, chit chat and then SKATE. It is truly a special time. What made it even more special was seeing SO many of my readers who had such nice things to say about WWTM…so thank you to all of you and since I picked up some new readers…welcome!
-After skating, I came home and before I could even change into my PJ’s, I had the X FACTOR on. Did I call it or did I call it? SPOILER ALERT: Astro and Drew…come on…I am SO good at this! Astro had some sort of attitude adjustment as he handled the news pretty well, even though I didn’t understand much of what he said, (was that even English?) but poor Drew, she was hysterical crying and Simon was really angry as he took responsibility for Drew’s horrible song choice and asked the judges to give her a second chance, but…they unanimously booted one of his girls. Now with only 5 left it’s going to get tough…Chris Rene could be next to go, let’s see if I am right.
-I know this may seem odd, but before last night’s appearance on WHITNEY, I knew who Chelsea Handler was, but never really saw her show, or read her books or anything. She was really funny last night as Whitney’s therapist. She was actually the only funny part. There was one super lame part where Roxanne needs to inject herself with hormones and she can’t seem to do it herself, so she goes to have Whitney do it but Whitney isn’t home so Alex seems completely awkward about doing it and the needle hangs out of her stomach…even typing this synopsis…super lame.
-I think last night’s PARKS & RECREATION: The Trial of Leslie Knope, was the best episode to date. Rob Lowe’s best hair, and his best ep too! Leslie and Ben come clean on their relationship and since they are breaking the “No Dating” policy Chris (Rob Lowe) launches an investigation to insure that no laws were broken. The funniest part of the episode for me was the name of the court reporter…Ethel Beavers! (hee, hee, hee, Beavers!)
-So, a few of my readers asked me last night prior to my entry onto the ice, why I didn’t write about this week’s REAL HOUSEWIVES OF BEVERLY HILLS…the truth, I hadn’t watched it until this AM. Now I know why people were asking…Holy cow with the parties these woman throw, I don’t know how they have any time for anything else other than party prep of some kind…I really need Adrienne Maloof to adopt me. First the spa party in the house, (I Googled it…the house is 19,000 square feet) and then the plastic surgery party at Paul’s office and last night was the massive fundraiser/fashion show in the backyard. Nice to have a backyard that can hold 1000 people! The fashion show featured some designer and was supposed to feature Adrienne’s new show line, but all the models dresses were so long you couldn’t see any of the shoes. Huh??? Adrienne did take a moment out of the evening to let her neighbor, Lisa Vanderpump (nice shoe reference there) to tell her how pissed off she was that Lisa didn’t ask her to host her daughters bachelorette party at her hotel in Vegas, The Palms. Lisa said she thought it would be imposing, which I sort of understand, but Adrienne was angry and it lead to what else…more delightful uncomfortable drama. No matter what though, there is nothing more uncomfortable than seeing Taylor with Russell her now dead husband who just seemed to be miserable all the time. I have to blip through it, it creeps me out…he creeps me out, the whole thing creeps me out.
- TV Land drew in 3.7 million total viewers on Wednesday for the various premiere episodes of Hot in Cleveland which includes all of the airing for the night. The new series launch of The Exes tallied 2.9 million total viewers across all airings that night as well. Guess I better check this one out, I think it’s in my Tivo…
-Friday’s Trivia Question: I was just telling someone about the show in the late 70’s called SOAP, which followed the lives of 2 sisters…what were the two last names of the families?
